Can you guys stop answering small threads with COMMON SENSE answers please and focus your attention to those actually passionate about the threads they make.
Ones that have been up for months and have had no attention from you at ALL.
Just wanted to add that a lot of us just want acknowledgement at this point, just a simple /nod not even joking.
Its starting to feel you are ignoring us on purpose. Now i know not everybody is going to agree with this and i expect comments like. "stop sooking and being entitled, they have better things to do". All that jazz. But those that have been trying for months to keep the threads going and the amount of support some of these threads have is absolutely outstanding, and the fact that all those passionate posts and threads are getting ignored is beyond me and makes me think SE is getting lazy.
I'd also like to point out that a few certain threads such as the one below aren't just limited to the NA section.

So, because they dont comment = ignoring? How many threads have you clicked on, read, but not commented on?
How often have threads BEEN replied to but people werent satisfied with the answer and in turn make an even bigger stink? Or how many times are the answers they provided ignored and new threads are created. Look at the NM thread. That was well over 300+ Pages (at 10 comments per page) with a reply in the first 10 pages saying "No, this does not fit with the theme of the game." yet people continued on as though they were ignored. How many times have they commented and had the comment picked apart and misinterpreted (housing, Elemental Wheel). If I were the dev's I would be afraid to say ANYTHING to you people.
Or people creating thread after thread about the same bloody thing (that also was replied to at some point if people bothered to check first). What bothers me more are the armchair devs that come on here and rake people over the coals with a verbal diatribe that insults and berates the very people they want to communicate with. IRL when someone calls me down and tried to tell me how to do my job in a less than constructive manner, I am always inclined to do the exact opposite of what they wanted of me.

I get the impression that the OP would appreciate if there was anything that appeared to be official: A mod or admin, mentioning that they have seen the thread, and haven't heard of any intentions either way.
There are several big threads at the moment with tens of thousands of views. Even if there are millions who play this game, thousands should still elicit some comment, even if it's "Not gonna happen." or "We shall see".
And some of them are on distinctly negative subjects. The RTM situation. The male dress. That sort of thing. -

There is a community team that gathers information and submits them for review, after which they may be given a response and the authority to post it. The process can get drawn out for a lengthy amount of time--language barriers can cause things to get lost in translation, policies may dictate how ideas are processed and flushed out, the chain of command must be followed and the flow of information is very carefully guarded along the way.
This is a Japanese company, and they are very particular about how things are done...and adamant about making sure the process is followed quite strictly. This team is by far much much MUCH better about communicating with the playerbase than ever before. The players hounded SE for a DECADE before some significant changes were finally implemented in this game's predecessor....in some cases when we actually did get a commitment from them, the promised content took YEARS to finally implement.

If it's a thread about a wanted feature, the best case scenario response is going to be, "We'll look into it" otherwise they're not going to respond because they don't want the feature for whatever reason, they're already working on the feature or the feature isn't possible. Likewise they're not going to go "Yea this is a great idea, we'll get right on it," because promising a feature and then finding out it that it isn't possible for whatever reason is a sure way to build distrust and disappoint the community.
Likewise you'll never ever get a response from square about rmt outside of the reports that the post weekly (The latest one being found here!) because they're not going to detail their process of catching and punishing rmt in any public place or even outside of the office that it's dealt with, nor should they. You don't catch people by telling them exactly how you plan to catch them so they know exactly how to skirt around it and continue operations care free. This also doesn't mean that square is ignoring community suggestions but they're never going to pop in and say "yea these are great, we're going to use a few of these" for the same reason. -

They ARE devs. They are the mouths of the devs. By that token, they cannot confirm, deny, or comment on anything without explicit approval from the higher ups.
This is why you only see Bayohne and the others post links to developer blogs or news pages, or make clarifications on translations and feature lists. Until the full dev team makes a decision and it's ready to implement, they can say nothing.
They can't comment on your RMT thread (for NUMEROUS reasons)
They can't comment on your glamour thread.
They can't comment on the au ra horns thread.
Unless they're given information they are permitted to convey.
The fact that some of these threads get "cleaned" of offending posts (personal attacks, etc.) should show that they ARE reading and conveying the info within, and thus aren't IGNORING you. They just can't do anything.
Oh yeah...and the thing about developers is they're often not trained in Public Relations. In fact, a lot of them suck at it. Take a look at some games where the lead developer decides to get his "feet wet" by commenting on forum posts or Twitter. They're not typically trained in PR, and it's often best if they get it "filtered" by someone who is.

What exactly would you have them say in your thread that would be useful to you and not end up helping prepare the RMT for whats to come? One thing off the top of my head that I can see really helping with RMT is the requirements to get in to the Heavensward areas (where all the big ticket popular items will be that can be gathered and sold on the market for loads of gil.) I'm pretty sure by now SE might have a vague idea that there is an RMT problem. They have the RMT screwing up their game and they are also getting inudated with complaints from the players. They are getting the worst of all ends of this deal, If you think you are annoyed by the RMT spam, compound that by every player who comments about it, everyones problem is their problem.Quote:
