New abilities/spells you'd like to see?

From 51-60 for DRG:

Lancer Traits
Exsanguination: increases Phlebotomize duration to 30 seconds.
Enhanced Strength IV: Increases Strength by 8.

Lancer Abilities
Speed Surge: Shortens delay of auto-attacks by 15%. 20 second duration 90s recast.

Ring of Talons: Delivers an area attack with a potency of 120. Combo Action- Ring of Thorns: Damage:200

Dragoon Abilities
Lancet: Deals magic damage based on PIE, 15% of damage dealt is converted into HP/TP.

Drakesbane: Delivers a Jump attack with a potency of 350, 3min recast.

Holy Breath: Delivers holy damage to target based on VIT, costs MP to use.

Just odd to me that DRG retains high PIE and MP becasuse their stats weren't reconsidered after ARR came out(PIE used to be their secondary stat for damage but that wasn't readdressed after PIE was changed to be Max MP). Bringing back a few old abilities from 1.0 is a good idea...the animations are there already.

Bard:

Double/Triple for BLMs.
Our(BLM) own offensive cooldown ability.
Heavy off GCD cooldown similar to Misery's End/Mercy Stroke (Death/Banish?)
Heavy Hitting Single Target move like flare for single targets (Ardor?)
Awesome Thunder spell that uses the Freeze/Flare animation to cast (Burst)

BLM:

AOE Thunder spell (Thundaga or ancient magic Burst)
Feign death spell
Drain
Reflect
Shock Spikes (the ones from 1.0 which induced Paralysis on hit)
Confuse
Hysteria (Fear)

I'd also like to see a debuff that you could place on an enemy that would cause an AOE explosion to other enemies, if it died before the countdown timer completed.

SMN:

Enhanced Summon - a spell you would you in conjuction with Summon I/II/III. If you activate Enhanced Summon before activating Summon I/II/III, you summon Ramuh/Shiva/Leviathan-egi respectively (Ramuh deals ranged damage, shiva is an ice golem, leviathan deals melee magic damage)

Bard -- Fortissimo [Greatly increases the party's tempo while singing, improving the Weapon Damage of all party members by 15]
Bard -- Preamble [The bard begins singing a wrathful melody, any penalties of party members' stances are reduced to zero, and auto-attack delay is reduced by 0.5 seconds. The bard cannot attack for the duration of the song, but can still move]

Rain Of death:
Basically scrap what we have now and make this skill a persistent aoe dot to use alongside flaming arrow.


Charge shot:
Heavy shot potency initially, but if the key is held for 5 seconds, potency triples. Basically the damage of 3 heavy shots in the time of 2. To complicate it, make it interuptable and give it a cooldown. If the skill is cast while bloodletter is available, the bloodletter proc is used up and the skill is now x4 the damage of heavy shot. ( to compensate the lost bloodletter due to charging )


Battle Voice ( trait )
Mp is not consumed while using battle voice.


Foe Requiem ( trait )
Physical resistance is reduced by 5%, along with the reduced magic resistance of 10%.

Bloodletter ( trait )
10% chance next heavy shot deals double damage

Straightter shot
Boost the crit bonus

Rivers of blood
Flaming arrow now procs bloodletter, along with venom/wind.

SMN

-Ritual Summon
-Briefly summon a pet and have it's ultimate used before sending it away.

-Ruinga

-Effluvium
- Fester on multiple targets consumes 2 stacks

BLM - Blizzard - AoE effect that persists similar to Flaming Arrow. Slows all enemies within the area.

Yeah but Haste would increase everything, even TP regeneration.

I honestly would take anything as long as they get rid of the damage reduction. So many bards just don't use songs because of the penalty (don't jump on me, *I* definitely use them, albeit begrudgingly).

As well... maybe an insta-cast for bard songs, can have a long cool-down but sometimes I just wish I could swiftcast ballad or whatever in important situations.

Elementalist spells for Summoners and make the Pet the focal point.

Does saying more jumps for dragoon count? Because I want more non-globals so I can max out that damage and not be bored when everything is on cooldown.

MNK : GL Refresh skill, 60second, 120 second, 180second 240 second 300second cool down, I don't care either way but a refresher would nice.

Burst: Thunder AoE that applies the usual DoT. Low base damage, long cast and big MP cost.

THM/BLM Fix:
Aethereal Manipulation: makes it look like a teleport, the dash is pretty goofy LOL

PGL/MNK skill:
Blastkick: when used in Coeurl form the aftermath explosions will hit in chain all the nearby enemies up to 5

MNK skill:
Destroyer Wave: huge powerful rectangular AoE that consumes all Greased Lighting stacks (or MP?).. yeah, Kamehameha XD
Fists of Water: adds weak shockwaves to every weaponskills making everything AoEish

PGL/MNK trait:
Enhanced Greased Lighting III

DRG skill:
Skydragon Jump: Jump up in the air rendering you impervious to most attacks for 2 seconds then fall down delivering a wind-based attack to the target and weak damages to nearby enemies

LNC trait:
Agile Feint: puts Feint out of global cool down

SMN spell:
Summon IV, V, VI:
Leviathan-Egi: Ranged AoEs + AoE pushback
Ramuh_Egi: Dots
Shiva-Egi: Utilities/mixed skill

SMN fix:
Makes Summoners way more focused on pets managing and less on self and rebalance pets

Erosion - Water DoT increases ice and water damage done to target

Summoner loses ruin and instead gets a main attack based on whatever element his/her Summon is, none of the attacks will be very powerful but with SMN DoTs get slightly stronger.

Garuda- Wind DD spell

Summoner now is still the same DoT class but doesn't spam ruin and the DoTs now increase all the teams damage. Summons do more damage and all have unique skills to help the group. All are strong and have uses in every dungeon.

I'm fine as long as we don't get something silly like Enhanced <Stat> IV/V. Honestly feels like a waste of a passive slot =/

Ruin Changes:

Using Ifrit? +20 Potency

Using Titan? 5% Str Down on Target : Duration is 10seconds

Using Garuda? 5% Chance to reset duration of your dots

Could use Titan in progression when you don't have a DPS check but your group is having issue keeping the tank alive, could use ifrit when you have a dps check, and you could use Garuda when Ifirt is a DPS lost due to his constant moving.

NIN:
Mudra IV (since we already got Earth, Sky and Man, might as well get Soul).
I dont know the japanese names but meh, lets be ridiculous.
Ninjutsu, Element Blood: Burst your Huton to reduce GCD in a 50% for 5 seconds!! (every strike done damages you a bit).
Ninjutsu, Element Wood: Impales your oponent with wooden stakes, draining their power recoverying a small amount of TP (about 100~150).
Ninjutsu, Element Metal: Sharpens your blades enhanicing their power, raises your attack power in a 5~10% for 20~30 seconds (?)
Ninjutsu, Element Bone: Breaks your limits enabling Sprint action for 20 seconds without consuming TP.

Other stuff:
An OGCD counter attack that procs after parry or dodge.
A GCD combo for Mutilate.
A Trait to enable Assassinate at a higher target's remaining HP %, or from further away, or reduced cooldown.
A Trait that reduces Mug's cooldown (seriously its annoyingly long :/)

SMN skill Catastrophe - takes the current potency of dots that are on on enemy and make it hit all at once. This would be usuful on burst scenarios so potency on dots wont be wasted

Example - bio 2 ticks for 30 seconds and I think it ticks at like 25 potency. If immediately do Catastrophe when the dot is on it will hit for 250 potency of the bat and bio2 will fall off. If I do it at 15 seconds left it will hit for 125 potency

Pros - if the attacks crit this will be like all the dots Criting per tic - Could see one hit for like 6k if crits with raging, contagion on.

used for burst situation

wont waste potency on dots if a mob is going to die with full ticks left on dots

Cons - if it doesn't crit you will lose potency because instead of having five to ten (depending on the duration of the dot.)chances to crit you will have one.

Lose one stack of atherflow which could be used for fester. Fester is good

MNK:

A new cc
Power Kick - 10 sec cd off the gcd. Kick an enemy back pushing them away from you and causing them to be knocked out for 30 seconds. Only one enemy can be knocked out at a time.

Reworked AoE
Howling Fist (redesigned) - No cooldown but requires raptor form. Same tpye of Aoe, with damage adjusted for balance reasons. Puts you in Coerl form.

This way monks can have an AoE rotation of AotD > HF > RB

New trait
Improved Greased Lightning - Greased lightning now last 3 additional seconds.
or
Improved Greased Lightning - Greased lightning stacks now fall off one at a time instead of all at once. For example if you were at III, instead of losing it's effect you would go down to II. (this would require more balance changes though.)

Mnk: tp regain skill, or at least pause the timer on my stacks for 5-10 sec with a decent CD in the skill

Mmk: rename perfect balance to something like Chi opening. The name just sounds misleading to me for what it does

MNK: Something, anything, that reworks Greased Lightning. I like the idea of each stack falling off one by one.

But other options can be:
- Increasing the duration
- An instacast skill that refills the duration (with appropriate CD)
- A skill that just gives you GL3.

Other things for monk:
- A new attack. Anything from Sabin's repertoire in FF6. (Let me Suplex a Train!)

MNK
Meditation - Place your character into a meditation state, GL counter will stop. Medidation breaks uppon the use of any action.

Something like that?

I kind of like it. Like if you have to be off the boss for a time, you can save your stacks until you can get back.

I guess the big question would be whether it breaks some .5 seconds after the action (hold on a Coeurl move), or truly instantly (need at least 6 seconds of GL remaining if at Opo-opo/unstanced).
As much as I like the little tricks necessary to keep up GL, and would prefer that fights generally didn't have more than 8s or so of boss jump/invuln time in the first place, this would be kinda nice.

Aside from that, maybe a rework of Greased Lightning where we don't necessarily have to be at 3 stacks at all times to be doing ideal long-term damage without Paeon, and pretty close to max damage even with it. I like how it ramps up, but in the end there's currently just two modes: GL3 and dead in the water, which can make Monk more than a little sluggish compared to the other physical dps. Don't get me wrong, I want it to be the gattling gun dps that you'd often want to just leave boss, but just without such an obvious pitfall faced at the start of every pull (assuming you don't somehow have a master-of-chain-pulls tank with you in a simple yet not SR-able dungeon v.v).

Edit:
- Maybe rework Perfect Balance to be either an opener or a nuke-ish burst skill speed increase, especially to AAs (though less advantageous than the opener when actually opening) - not sure what the best conditionals would be though, maybe just two abilities, shared CD...
- Give AotD a slight damage buff (80, enough to make it outweigh Bootshine very slightly at 3-4 enemies, though at higher TP cost), and maybe reduce TP cost to 100-110.
- Reduce One-Ilm Punch TP cost.
- Make TP cost reduction (by 10) a trait for Pugilist. Increase Pugilist native ability TP costs by 10. Total effect: Impulse Drive at just 60 TP (3.15 or 3.00 ptcy/TP), Fracture at 70 (3.28 or 3.14). [ToD still superior at 3.54 or 3.50 ptcy/TP.] (Only problem would be PGLs spamming Impulse Drive at level 1-20 or so, because it has no positional, but a whopping 180 potency now...). Maybe just have it affect non-native abilities specifically, "Syncretism", gained around level 40. (?)
