Thank you GM Team!

So I was recently visited by a GM today, the FIRST time ever on FFXIV:ARR. I got so scared when I first logged on just a few mins ago, to have a GM send me a tell, THEN show up inside my personal house!!

I was thinking in my head "Oh no! Surely I couldn't have gotten in trouble from the past 20mins or so I've been logged in!! ; ; "

But the GM was there to deliver good news to me. Recently I had been temp-banned from the forums (What a two weeks that was ; ;...) and I was not sure why it had happened. I had sent two support tickets in, asking for an explanation because I never received any e-mail or notification stating why and for what reason. And if it was true, I wanted to know for future instances so I knew never to say or post what ever it was that had landed me in hot water ever again.

Well GM Ranelegon was kind enough to get on, and come to me personally to state it had been some kind of clerical error on their end, and that it would have no effect on my forum standing what so ever.

You can imagine my relief about reading that! So I want to say thank you GM Ranelegon for bringing such good news about such a grim circumstance. I'm so glad I really never was in trouble. Makes me feel happy the madness was explained properly to me live!

I've gotten super fast responses from GM's regarding trolls in game. They are very friendly and helpful, though I wasn't fortunate to see one appear. They even sent me a /tell in duty. Had to stop fighting for a bit to respond lol.

GMs look like they exude an intense aura of the void, I wonder if there is any lore for GMs and what it could mean for what may lay within the void itself.

Looks like they've improved on the GM responsiveness. Back in 2.0 you could send a ticket and weeks would pass and you finally get a cut-n-pasted response in the ticket interface that basically sums to "Ticket has been read, 2013-12-15" after you've actually forgotten about it.

There are some things that require more attention then others I think. I've reported so many cheating players and they don't reply, although if you see someone harrassing someone/a group or people or yourself as well as offensive names to report they respond almost immediately!

I think because the error was on their end they wanted to make sure your fears were laid to rest and so they contacted asap.

Maybe because we are sending English tickets to a Japanese server :/

IDK I have sent GM tickets before about the item recovery policy previously but all are template replies.

Maybe the GMs are 'the one true god' I keep hearing about in the ramp up to the end of 2.4/2.5 :p

So far I've been lucky enough to submit one GM report and that was when the RMTs where out in force on Phoenix at launch, now it seems there pretty much on top of it on our world so I dont really bother.

I must say that this is really nice behaviour from the GM's side. Also really cool way,, visiting you in-game house, very climatic.

I've been teleported to jail before by GM Ranelegon.

10/10 best GM.

I've only ever gotten canned responses from GM's. Granted, most of those were RMT related and thus the purview of the special taskforce, but the one I sent about harassment to another player got a reply as though I'd been harassed.

I think the EU GMs are less cool than the NA ones. :(

Im banging my head off the wall atm with the stupid copy paste response's im getting from GM's, my chocobo changed from Snow white to Apple green while stabled so I thought nothing of it bought more fruit and tried to change its colour again, I got the msg the plumage will change in 6 hours so i logged out. I logged in today to nothing.. my choco never changed colour so i msg'd a GM and the response i keep getting is:
