inb4 "I play how I want bruh"
"B-b-but mudra laaaag!"
I use, my chinese star, to pick the locks, and steal your car! Rock n roll.
Dear Ninjas.
Please stop using Doton on single bosses. It is 240 potency if all ticks land, which they may not. Raiton is 360 potency, 50% better, please use that instead on single bosses.
They should also stop dying all the time.
lolDGN becamen lolNIN?
For that matter, Suiton -> Back Attack Trick Attack for a total of 580 potency (400 of which gets the 20% poison bonus) and a hell of a lot more than that from the debuff.
Don't assume other Ninjas are doing it, because chances are they're not.
Gotta love that sweet sweet Suiton...
Also, you have a Skill alled 'Goad'. It recovers one party member's TP.
They still exist sadly. Yesterday's run of WoD treated me to a DRG who died TWICE to Mortal Gaze (doom mechanic) and proceeded to bitch to me and the SCH that we were supposed to "heal thru it." The mechanic was explained after the first death (benefit of the doubt) but after continual complaints about the healers being "shit," someone used a vote kick and everything was made better.
Dear Ninjas,
Bunny pls.
Seriously, that thing's cute.
I've never seen a ninja that doesn't use ninjutsu. I've never understood the whole loldrg or lolnin thing. All classes seem to fuck up about the same amount to me. Melee just have more chances to die and less buffer than the tank. For every attack a melee gets hit by they dodged 30. Ranged just tend to have less to dodge, but it is probably about the same ratio of fails.
If you're weaker than me, please keep dancing edge up. It only makes more sense than us fighting for the debuff.
This. I remember my WoW days before this game came out. We had some excellent melee players, but our rogues and fury warriors hands down died more than anyone else. You're just subjected to more stuff with less time to react while being squishy at the same time when you're a melee damager.
What was the point of this thread, other than to disrespect other players? Also, it does not belong here, it belongs in the DPS Subforum.
By the way, I recommend you read the Forum Rules a few more times.

lol - maybe I'm having a bad day. This Thread was not nearly as bad as the "Dear Summoners" thread. The OP was very trolltastic still. I laughed when you called me a stick in the mud though. Thanks for the reminder to lighten up.
but seriously. This thread DOES belong in the DPS class thread o.o
I tank, Craft, Gather, and talk to people. Guess which Frums I read? Tank, Items/Crafting/Synthesis, DoTL, DoTH, and for some reason, this accursedTroll LibraryGeneral Forum.
#JustNAGamerThings
That's true but in some heavy dodge fights like Odin, you have to keep moving all the time, sometimes I use it in order to keep some DPS while moving away from 6 boss AoE. I guess that it depends on how fast you can cast your mudras because server lag might give you trouble too.
I don't get why all the hate on NINs, but bad players are everywhere and in every class, people make mistakes all the time. No one is perfect.
Dear ninjas,
Please continue using your stuns every time they are up, with zero regard for what skills the mob/boss is using. It's perfectly fine to build the mob's stun immunity immediately causing the tank & healer to have to work harder. Pass the note to your DRG friends as well.
Oh hai! I hear this is the "I'm better than everyone else" thread.
Yah quit sucking all the time sucky ninjas!
/wait 5
Nope. Brow beating an entire class just doesn't lift my spirits :/
All the Ninjas who don't use Ninjutsus are disrespecting the people in their party that actually do their job.
I know this. Most Dragoons don't. Hence me wondering about the increasing number of Dragoons actually using it.
I made this thread as a Ninja main, because frankly, people who give the job a bad name rub me the wrong way.
And to the people who apparently have never seen a Ninja not using Ninjutsus: You probably don't use the DF and go to CT/STWoD very often? You get all kinds of Ninjas there, some don't use them at all, some use single target Dotons, some never use Huton...only a few actually do the correct rotation.
First off, I admit to leveling my ninja through FATEs to get it to 50 (I needed something to do and our ping was a painful 400+ for a couple weeks) so I kinda jumped straight into Laby & Syrcus as soon as I was comfortable end-game. So I'm by no means an experienced ninja (like at all, I don't have much time to play it because of alex grinding and WoD gear for my SCH and whatnot). I'm a ninja noob who's wading slowly into the endgame ninja waters. xD Please (pleaaaase) correct me if any of this is lolNIN, but I'm going to share my common sense that I didn't have to look up or hear from others to figure out.
I have Huton up anytime I can (sometimes I forget...I'm not settled into NIN rotations 100% yet) and I don't touch Doton unless there's more than 4 or so mobs. I use Suiton only when trick attack is up and Raiton any other time that I don't need to refresh my Huton. I haven't used the fire AOE one in Laby/Syrcus because I'm not sure if I should be. I'm a bit scared to stun so I don't do it. I don't want to miscalculate it and stun the wrong thing, because as a SCH, I know how bad that can be for the rest of the party/raid.
I do that whenever I can to bosses. It just felt like common sense, and I haven't had much time to actually play NIN either. It's just...580 potency + a debuff that makes them take more damage from other people? Of course you should be using that whenever you can (with some exceptions - I'm sure if you need to not push phases you shouldn't use it)
I don't know exactly how fast endgame tank TP drops but I use Goad about 3-4 minutes into a (boss) fight on the tank. I've never seen a tank ask for it so I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or right. I don't want to be waiting until they're almost out because from what I have encountered so far leveling my GLD with my boyfriend's ROG, Goad supplies even TP for one attack each global cooldown. In Halatali on one of the bosses, using Fast Blade > Savage Blade combo (Rage of Halone is above the sync level) I started with about 450 TP when I asked him for Goad and I ended with about 450 TP when it was over.
What a lot of you need to know is that a lot of people are playing on console. Now I play ninja and its just hard to keep thumb on stick to move and dodge while trying to do mudras depending on whats in your crossbar, and sometimes switching crossbars while in tense battle, while trying to dodge, while trying to keep rotation, while trying to find out who needs goad is very hard to do. Instead of complaining about why some people aren't using certain skills, trying to find out why that person isn't using it would be more productive than a thread that has no purpose than to once again, bash and alienate a group of players. Some of you people on here kill me. I wanna think most of the players in this community are mature and not children...but alas..it looks like that's what it is.
Qilymepye, i play on ps4 and at no point do i have trouble casting mudras whilst dodging etc.
I suggest to address your hotbar to place all necessary skills in a way that is most comfortable to use
And thats fine Stupid(what a name), but not everyone can play the exact same way. I have lots on my screen as is, switching crossbars and such is fine for some but not everyone can do it as fast as others. Also, i listed more than mudras, because lets face it, you are either switching your crossbar a ridiculous amount, or you have to put most of your most useful skill on one full crossbar, while leaving others out. It can be difficult and can lead to many mistakes. Especially while trying to continue rotations and other things. Its not easy and not everyone can do it the same. Now, my hotbar is cool, but there is delay and also if im rushing to pull off a skill and hit wrong button because Im trying to switch crossbar while dodging an attack....its tough. Fun, but tough. And it doesnt help that the job is "squishy".
