Enternal Bond

im not a fan of this first come first serve bull crap its not right u only have like 10 days as options the plats reserve everything before 5 am for gold square enix needs to expand this bull crap of a system or needs to take it off

This is literally the worst system I've ever seen. Booked one last weekend only to find out at the time zone calculation I did was wrong and I booked it for 2 am instead. Because no where are time zones mentioned. Tried to reschedule it this week and can't reschedule it until 5:00 am my time. Meanwhile, the slot I'm cancelling out of will go to waste, when someone else could have used it.

Considering that all of the reservation slots were booked within a half an hour of them opening up to platinums, I'd be surprised if any golds are able to get married before February. Sucks for them, but money talks.

Yea I agree. Me and my partner got up at 3:50am to be ready for 4am since we are gold and nothing. I don't see the big deal here it's not like in FFXI where a real person (GM) did the ceremony, it's literally nothing but cutscenes... There should be no reason for this crap scheduling system...

Edit: And if this is a server issue and you are going to charge real world money for it then either up the server allocations or stop charging for it, pretty much that simple.

Edit 2: Just maybe they should have set it up so the mog station had sold out for the week then all would get a slot for that week that bought...

Just like real weddings for popular venues...

The bottom line is if you pay for a service you should receive that service. Not months later. Not weeks later. Either let us set a date or refund our money. This is the second week in a row that I have been unable to set a date and I have a platinum plan.

I get the feeling this whole issue would be solved if they just had more than one venue for the damned things.
One in La Noscea, one in Black Shroud, and one in Thanalan.
Triple the number of slots, more choices...in fact they probably have this in the works.

I'm with Kymber on this. They charged us the money and then are trying to make people wait forever due to whatever fake gateway this is. If it's servers (which I don't believe for an instant) then add a few more instance servers. What I truly think it is is them thinking this is a 'fun' way to do it. I shouldn't have to sit on this quest for months because I can't get online at the time to schedule! I paid for platinum but will -never- get online at that time to get it scheduled. Poorly implimented system needs to be fixed or open to refunds.

This system is absolute bull cockery. ARRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH TAKING MY RAGE OUT ON THE FORUMS!!!

They've mentioned before that their hands are pretty much tied when it comes to adding new instance servers, which is why they limited housing the way they did and just made the wards bigger instead of adding more recently.
However, like I mentioned, adding new venues isn't out of the question, since there's, what, 20 more zones to make use of? And I'm pretty sure Coerthas and Thanalan at the least have churches to make use of (though one's a graveyard...but some folks are into that!)

Do you mean the Thaumaturge guild? There is also a 2nd temple in Ul'dah, but closed because reconstructions. It got damaged during the calamity.

I'm a Gold bonder. My partner and I were not able to obtain a date last week. We tried again this week. Due to our work schedules (he works overnights/weekends, I work regular office hours), we can really only do weekday evenings for our ceremony. By the time Gold scheduling opened this morning, the only day with available slots for us was New Year's Eve. I think it will be romantic. I just hope that we planned it early enough in the day that it doesn't interfere with our friends' real-world plans.

This is utter BS! SE has guaranteed that I will never buy another thing from the cash shop! They've made setting a date the "fcob" of marriages! I'm with you Gurp! I want my money back now.....

I can almost tolerate the 5am scheduling(almost,) but now both people have to be on? SE doesn't think about real life when they do things.

I got one of the slots this week, for anyone on Balmung, my ceremony will be 12/26 at 1pm pst(4pm est), all are welcome, just contact me ingame and I'll give an invitation =D

You should probably report this. Take screenshots and what not and report it (via the website so you can include the screenshots). The more proof that SE has that the system is either broken or being abused, the more likely they are to fix it.

The ones from the quest part yes, but not the ones from the ceremony. You'll need somebody to record them if you want to save them. :(

This. If people ARE exploiting the system, then let SE know that they are and how they're doing it.

Though there's a more altruistic means of exploiting this: reserving a good date for a friend who can't be online during the mad reservation rush.
Yes, this is a really silly system that could be heavily alleviated by opening more venues.

i think this is a good thread to let people know this since it isn't really stated anywhere (not even on the eternal bond website), but if you end up having to reschedule, the stupid time slot penalty you get wears off after 2 weeks.
