hiring a best man costs 20000000000000000 and must have Coil completed

I doubt it will cost that much... for the ceremony. The dress and tuxedo... I hold no hope for. Still, that wedding dress. /swoon

Not really jaded, just looking at the last few batches of craftable armor... seriously, 4 stars?! And I need to desynth iL90~ for required materials? And synth those with soldiery tome materials?!! Eff that!

4* Alchemy Craft, requiring ixali water x3 for one invitation, and 2 sealant to seal the letter.

If that's not hurling jade at FFXIV, I don't know what is. Desynthing i90 may have been a serious issue before, but this is 2.4. If you can't get your hands on i90 now, there's a problem. Seriously, just run the 2.4 dungeons, hop on the Need/Need train, turn in the Antique pieces for AF1.5, and desynth like mad! And getting materials from the lowest available tomestone to craft the latest items is par for the course! That's been a thing since 2.0 with philo mats and 2.2 with myth mats.

In 2.0, you had to have a minimum amount of craftsmanship to craft 1-star items like the crafter's AF gear. That's just how crafting is. Content -> Gate -> More Content -> Another Gate -> Even More Content. That's how MMOs work. So there is absolutely a precedent for this. I'm sorry it took you this long to realize that crafting isn't as casual a thing as it is in other MMOs. It requires a lot of hard work.

There has always been a stat requirement gate for every crafting update (nor was my post directed to this particular one anyway); 4* has a high stat requirement that needs the new off hands. However, those offhands are time-gated by beast tribe-only materials that take 8 days (assuming you're max rank) to procure (and again, this kinda goes against back when they said they didn't want beast tribe rewarding BiS). I wish I could use the male suit on my character. :( I would pay with one of my kidneys if necessary.

But wait, just to be clear Rice, you're making up this recipe, right? I don't see anything in the Eorzean Database for wedding invitations. Sealant and Water to make wedding invites would be insane. o_0';

Eithercase, I'm just keeping my expectations really low for this. They said something alongside of using hte lodestone to propose and go through the process, but there's probably an enormous fee attached to it. Eithercase, I wouldn't be devastated to the whole thing being a sham or wonked with my incredibly low expectations.

I was discussing that Weddings are coming to FFXIV with my G/F and my friends Wife last night. My G/F doesn't play, but my two friends are married IRL and both play. TPO Sosola Sola said her and I should get married, b/c I'm the largest toon in the game, and she's the smallest, so itwould be hilarious. I'm inclined to agree.

My G/F did NOT think this was amusing ._.

While I don't mind about it much, I just hope it won't be 4-5 star crafting stuff.... They are giving too many things to high crafters lately and for achieving high crafters (Even when already having all them 50) it is a pain and almost almost so time consuming as relics are.... For doing something so time consuming as a relic just for craft-boredom you just go and do relics...

They overdid it with crafting.

It's still going to cost nothing correct?

My girlfriend and I are really hoping it doesn't cost anything because of what he stated in this interview.

Doubt it.

Of course there'll be some sort of rewards, perks or mementos for the occasion and to show that you're paired with someone.

But, in terms of actually breaking off the bonding I'm pretty sure it'll be easily 'broken'.

Just wait for the 8 star WVR recipe for the wedding dress that people will charge 100 million gil for.
