Hey all! I'm Maxwell. Originally a Hyur Midlander, I've tasted the fun of Lalafell and can't get enough now. Hailing from Sargatanas, I main mostly White Mage and Dragoon. I was fortunate enough to win Cycle 2 ENTM, but during the process I've discovered a love and appreciation for making screenshots. Hi everyone, Tinsley here. Since launch I've made my Eorzean home on the Exodus server where I can usually be found in or around Limsa Lominsa and The Mist. It seems I have a soft spot for bad boy pirates and gorgeous sandy beaches.
I've been a fan of ENTM since cycle 1 and was thrilled to have been chosen as a model for cycle 2. My original goal was to just make through the preliminary rounds but ended up making it all the way to the top 4. Now that Cycle 3 is upon us, I am looking forward to participating behind the scenes a bit and judging the boys side of the competition. I want to wish all the models the best of luck and remember, You never get a second chance to make a first impression.

Vahn here, the Elezen extrodinaire of cycle 2 ETNM. Was on my way to win that whole cycle, then got swamped with work when an Ahriman snuck up on me an' bit me on the bottom. But I'm glad to be sittin' in the judges chair now and look forward to seeing all the up and coming stars of ENTM! Being a model can be hard work believe it or not, so make sure you put all your effort into bringing us that magazine cover masterpiece! And remember, even the slightest of camera angles or smidge of lighting can make or break a shot! So go for the gusto and goodluck to everyone!

I took part in the 2nd Cycle of ENTM, even though it was just for a short amount of time because I had to drop out and I was very sad that I couldn't participate further in this contest at that time.
Nevertheless, I tried to give some critiques during the 2nd Cycle when voting for pictures from other contestants and since I liked giving my own opinions on pictures from contestants or how I felt about them, I'm a judge for Cycle 3 this time around~
Critiques/Opinions may seem harsh from me sometimes but don't let that get you down please :3

...mutineerin' wench. 'least she chose an incredibly handsome co-model for that shot. Anyways, onto what you're all -really- here for. Th'contest! Rules are simple. T'avoid tie-breakin', I need each o' you to go through an' pick our your favourite Four models from each o' the lists. That's four men, an' four women t'make eight total, for those of you have trouble countin'. T'round closes at midnight (EST) on Thursday, November 6th, at which point votin' scores will be combined with judges scores t'determine who goes home! An' as a safety measure, we're continuin' th'rule from last Cycle that only votes from people who've posted at least ten times will count.

As a reminder, here's what th'round description this time was...

"Welcome models! Congratulations t'you all on makin' it this far. Now's when things get -real- interestin'. Our first round ain't too taxin', but should give you a chance t'show off some o' th'creativity that got you cast in th'first place. Th'theme of th'round is Grand Companies. Be it Maelstrom, Adders or Flames, I want y'to pick one of 'em an' give me a shot makes you look like you're a part o' the company. Colour theme an' settin' is important! I ain't expectin' everyone t'wear those odd lookin' flowerpot hats, but if you're fightin' for th'Maelstrom I want t'see some red!"

I felt like the last one for the Men catagory looked a bit too photoshoppy, but that's just me. I feel the rest of the contestants I didn't name could have put more effort forth.

Women:
Adeline Urusa - This picture screams Immortal Flames through and through and I love it. You chose to take this screenshot in Camp Bluefog, which was the perfect setting for this. You look like you're war hardened fighter ready to take on the next battle the Flames throw at you. Good job.

Kaiyoko Star - I enjoyed this pic immensely. The lighting is absolutely beautiful. If there's one thing I could say though, it looks like your character was looking at the camera as opposed to focusing on the admiral. It threw me off a bit. In the scene you've set here, the admiral should be your one and only focus for she deserves your utmost respect. I know it runs the risk of you blending it too much with the other NPCs but I personally think you've set your character apart enough with just the wardrobe change.

Rhaya Relenah - This looks like a picture that the Immortal flames should put on the front of their recruitment flyers. There's a lot I like about this picture. I like how you featured all the classes here. The fact that everyone was dressed in the uniform but you was plus points. My only complaint would be that I think it would've been better had you taken this picture during the day time. Immortal flames have a very dark palette to begin with. This much darkness in the pic means they tend to blend in too much.

Sakuraya Kai - I like your picture for much of the same reasons I liked Rhaya's screenshot. The sanctum of the the twelve is a beautiful location so bonus points for taking your screenshot there. One thing that I'm enjoying in this picture is that while you have your friends dressed up in adder garb around you, they're so far back that they don't pull attention away from you. I'm enjoying the effect that you've achieved in this screenshot.

Men:
Marik Destiel - Looks like you're having a fun day out with your fellow Adder recruits! What made this screenshot for me was that you took it in a setting with foliage and featured one member of the team interacting with the foliage. FFXIV lore tells us that Adders are nature lovers and this screenshot highlighted that fact for me as opposed to the fact that they're a fighting force for a major city. Good job. I enjoyed seeing this alternate side of the Twin Adders.

Sera Alaric - Great times after a shift with your fellow stroms I see. I enjoy the setting and the story being told. Unfortunately, I have no idea which one is you. ;~; There's being part of the scene and then there's blending in TOO much. Had the lighting been focused on you or had you used alternate clothing while still remaining within the theme, it'd be easier to figure out which one was you. Either way though, you still get my vote for a nice screenshot.

Sienna Moonlux - Wallpaper worthy screenshot right here. I don't even know if there's anything for to critique here because i just enjoyed everything about it.

Epsil Ion - You sir, take beautiful screenshots all the time. You are a master at lighting effects and using the camera to ensure that it portrays you in the best light possible. Kudos on taking this on a stormy night. You look amazing in here.

Women: a little disappointed, a lot don't give me the "grand company" feel.

1. Eirwen Mackenzie: A great story telling picture. Your setting, posing, and lighting really add to the shot. I also love that you are wearing the same outfits, really unifies you with your extras.
2. Rhaya Relenah: Great pose and use of extras. Really tells a story. My only critique is the lighting.
3. Iris Dawnshade: I like the action and your use of foreground/background but I wish you weren't so centered in the picture and that I could see a little more of your face.
4. Xev Bellwyn: For some reason, I like that it is just you, nothing complicated. But again, I wish you weren't as centered in the picture. Rule of thirds is a good thing.

1. Aiden Weaver: Rule of Thirds. <3 I also like your angles, setting, expression, and lighting.
2. Sienna Moonlux: Same as Aiden but I wish you were just a smidge to the right and it would have been perfect.
3. L'yhan Nuhn: Love your angles, lighting, and setting. I wish you were a smidge to the right thought. Also, even though it sounds a little petty, I wish you were wearing gloves.
4. Flare Raulbel: Love the humor and your expression but I wish we were closer to you, there is just to much useless space in this picture.

Rhaya- This was my favorite by far, your pose is perfect and you are definitely the center of the attention.

5. Miki Hoshi: I like your setting, lighting, and posing but the picture quality looks a little pixelated.
6. Kaiyoko Star: I like the lighting and the idea of the shot but with how you're position there's a little bit of an unbalance to the picture.
7. Lowena Fae: I like the lighting, the action, and how close we are to you but I when I first saw you this, I almost couldn't tell which faction you were representing. Also, expressions are your friend.
8. Sakuraya Kai: I like the posing and your angle but the lighting needs work and I wish we were closer to you, there's too much useless space.
9. Adeline Urusa: I like the lighting and almost-monotone colors but I wish we were closer to you. I also think you're a bit too centered.
10. Sangriah V': The lighting is nice and I like the use of extras but you don't shine in this picture. The guy standing next to you has more presence then you do... >A>()
11. Ferah Isis: The background is kind of nice and I like your expression but I wish you were facing the camera more, both face and body. Also, the setting is kind of dull.
12. Overlord Rikkustrife: The posing is nice but the picture feels kind of mundane. It's kind of like the first screenshot everyone takes of their character, a low angel, body slightly turned, with their weapon drawn.

5. Epsilon Ion: Your angles, lighting and posing are great. The only reason this didn't make my top four is the background is a little to busy.
6. Ronin Woofcub: I like your posing, expression, and your angles. The only issue I had was that I couldn't really tell what faction you were (I'm guessing maybe Immortal Flame because of the setting).
7. Rho Bhigs: I like the lighting, posing, and expression but I wish you weren't to centered in this picture. I also wish there was a little more Immortal Flames in this picture.
8. Sera Alaric: I like the story here, along with your posing and lighting, but I wish we were closer to you, when I first looked at this picture, I thought you were the Hyur to the left. >x>()
9. Marik Destiel: Your posing and lighting are nice but I wish you shined more. The two extras are a bit to equal with you, when this should be your picture.
10. Fate Lhas: Nice location and posing but I wish the lighting was better, your face is a little lost in the background.
11. Adam Fylrmyn: It's not bad but it doesn't stand out amongst the rest to me. >A>()
12. Jinx Fireboot: Similar to Overlord Rikkustrife, this feels like a screenshot versus a picture. >A>()

first I would like to thank you for the feedback, it helps me out and I'm sure it helps everyone else also.
It seems that I'm having a issue with my photos being pixelated and I'm not sure why. I play on PS4 and I have my settings on max everything. So when I take a screen shot I upload it straight to facebook. Then when I'm about to submit my screen shot I open my screen shot on Facebook in a new tab and save it to my PC as a jpeg. Then I send it to the host from my PC. I'm not sure how to fix this issue. I will try to figure out how what I need to do to change the products quality. If you have any suggestions please share!!! :)

This is your issue - I play on PS4 too and had done the upload to Facebook/twitter for ease - however Facebook compresses your images down. You need to save to a USB flash drive or something similar, and you get the full resolution, beautiful pictures you want! :)

Whew...goodness..finding ten threads to post on JUST so I can come on and vote for you all was hard!

I just want to say all the entries were awesome so I had to really stick to theme to narrow people down so that cut out some of the shots I really liked but they didn't seem to fit the theme as well. :( So my tip to the ones I didn't vote for for next time is to make sure you fit the theme as much as possible! Also a few of you looked photoshopped because of the sun you used to light you making you seem really out of place in your setting. Gotta be careful not to be dark and blend into your background too.

My shot was like that haha. Though I did have one that wasn't as harsh from foreground to background, and was a bit more centered. I just really liked the one I submitted over the blending centered one, personally. Thank you for the tip though! Will definitely consider the nonphotoshoppy lookingness...ness. XD
