Why are the Dudes always wearing Bras?

To support their bulging chest muscles. Even if they have no definition to speak of (lalafells), support is still important.

It's just a swimsuit design.

It's probably due to having to have something equipped in the underwear top slot at all times.

My guess would be that with the world wide "ness" of the game, each region has their own standards on what is appropriate and what isn't. So I think it is easier to just "cover up" then to try and code for different ratings worldwide.

Which is our legislative reason for ensuring certain lines of suitability are drawn. Yes, ratings are enforced by law in some countries.


The idea that nipple exposure may be a taboo subject sounds pretty on target to me. We're also playing in a society that, unlike our own real-life one, has absolutely ZERO discrimination between genders. (All 3 city-state leaders are currently female - Sultana, Elder Seedseer and Admiral. If anything, men are inferior in this culture.) So if nipple exposure is unacceptable for the ladies, it stands to reason that this would follow for the men as well.

So that Miqo'tes won't bite them. It hurts.

they cannot show nipples male or female, to maintain rating in all countries. they could however make it region specific for things like nipples. but they wont. so... no male nipples?

If you've seen the DATs, you'd see that females don't have nipples either. Sad.

But...we're still able to see nipples in the game. Male Elezen and Highlanders show them.

Also, I'm thinkin' the reason for bros is a combination of:

- in-game equality; women have 2 pieces, men should as well
- complying with regulation codes in all regions (some places topless is ok, others it's not, even for men)
- to be fair in the event (if women had to quest 10 pcs and men only 5 that would be cheap)
- Roegdayn look like they could use the... support
- male & female Lalafell have the same body so either way it would look like a 9 y/o girl with no shirt

because if we exposed ourselves other women would lose control of their bodies and start grinding all over everything, of course.

Armour against twisters?

Male Midlanders are prudes.

I think it has to do with difficulties creating chest pieces that involve heavily removing from the upper body model that already exists.

An example would be, say, the Elezen males underwear top thingamabob. If you put on the Harness, you can see lines where the underwear would have been because they had to remove some coverage in some areas. I don't know if this is due to something else by chance, since I do only play an Elezen, but yeah.

Hard to explain exactly what I mean in any case, but I just think that maybe its much more difficult to make models using the originals where they remove stuff, than otherwise adding more/keeping with the same general amount of coverage?

I think the more str your char has the bigger your muscles get.

OT: Why do male humans have nipples anyway? Females have them to feed their young.. what are the function of male nipples?

The reason why male humans have nipples is because when the human baby first starts out it is between genders. In order for it to have the ability to become either male or female it has to have some similarities with both genders. Even though the human may become a male, it will always retain those similarities with the female humans.
