Two major patches and Mi'qote female STILL don't get sideshave and dreadlocks?

Uh, hell, keep that sideshave atrocity. Away with it, yuck, yuck. I'm usually all for more hairstyles, but I find that one way too terrible to ever spoil a Miqo'te's beauty.

i want longer hairs damnit!

There can only be one possible explanation...

I'm all for dreadlocks. Sideshave for miqos, not so much. It would look awfully weird having nothing on the side of your head. There was someone who shopped a miqo head and shaved it, I'm too lazy to look for it but it looked so wrong.

I don't realize this was such a major concern.

I think you'll see this in 2.4... at least the locks for sure since all races should get.. why you all don't have the "sideshave" I have no idea. Miqo'te should have that by now. Maybe it has to do with the "no ears on the side of their head ewwwww" issue.

This is exactly the reason. The side shave "skrillex girl" haircut as one taru fellow keeps calling me, has the hair parted on the side with the bangs being pushed behind the ear. This would be impossible on a miqote, and requires creating a whole new haircut.

Mohawks for all! Multiple styles please.

Better question >_> Why has the boner tail on the blm body not been changed? That seriously can't be intentional lol There's 0 animation for it at all, not even emotes change it and it changes your tail size too

Yeah they don't want to expose the naked side of your head because it would look way to weird not having ears there. So they cover it with hair.

I agree with you, some hairstyles are best on some races and just don't work on others. These are the ones that don't work.

Are you talking about that Skrillex hair? It should be removed from the game entirely.

Patches 2.35 & 2.38 were not major patches, these are filler "Quality of Life" patches with minor content changes.


Hair is usually saved for major patches IE. 2.1 > 2.2> 2.3 > 2.4

Of course it's intentional, once the graphics are finalised, they're not fond of changing them.

Taking this as another opportunity to suggest hair styles be free from gender and race limitation!!

The dreadlocks are highlander only right now, maybe next patch they will become available to everyone :). But yes I agree I was disappointed too when miqotes got skipped with the side hairstyle lol.

All we have to do is go on the Japanese forums and say how scary the boner tail is. They will change it like they did with the moogles.

Anyone promoting hairstyles for Miqo'te that don't cover the areas where a human's ears would be, I'm pretty convinced aren't aware of how disturbing it would look in practice. Well, except for the few who WANT to be disturbed, or want to use it to disturb others. XD

Catgirls in anime are exactly the same way; I challenge you to find one that doesn't have long hair on the sides covering up the lack of human ears. Heck, for some of the more tongue-in-cheek depictions of catgirls, such as "Asobi ni Iku yo!" the girls DO have human ears in addition to the cat ears.

Sideshave was added in 2.2. Dreadlocks were added in 2.3. It's been a long time since either of those hairstyles were first added, however you slice it.

2.3, we're still in patch 2.38. they won't add it for any race aside the race that it was originally announced for till 2.4, it's basically a pattern for every major patch to have a hairstyle exclusive while releasing the last exclusive one to a few races by now. which is why the dreadlocks aren't out yet.... can't say for the sideshave though i don't really like that cut myself. :x

Same, I'd rather have nice looking hairstyles rather than worry about clipping that'd kill off anything cool lol I'm also all for more hairstyles that have stuff in them, you know, hairbands, ribbons, bows etc also, more bangs!

If a person cares about clipping so much, then either don't use the hair or glamour a helmet or a different body piece

I would like a long hairstyle for miqotes that is super long in the front and just not in the back :3

Just giving every race the two new hairstyles they add every 3 months would go against the whole drip-fed content thing they've got going, obviously. It's more fun to make things exclusive. Too hard to make hairstyles fit different sized heads in a mere 3 months time. Etc.

Over a year later and we still don't have long hair. =/ I wouldn't hold my breath, OP. :(

Nearly. 2.3 still broke my heart when elezen didn't even get an old style. We'll probably get dreadlocks this patch, though. Because that's such an elezen-like style! Sigh

Can we just convert to F2P and make a cash shop solely full of vanity for endless amusement?

See all types of whining for hair and complaints about RNG. Put rng items and hair in the cash shops + laugh at bank account = ??? profit

In that case, it's simply styles that were seen as exclusive to certain races (or they couldn't make it work with certain races)
