A Proposal - Adjust Weeky Elite Bills to be Daily

Proposal:

• Adjust Weekly Elite Bills to be Daily
• Reduce Rewards from 50 Seals to 40 Seals

Rational:
My reasons for this change is two fold. The first is to allow more usage of B-Rank mobs that are now, for all intents and purposes, idle monsters that look pretty for screen shots. This will allow for hunters to seeking these "elusive" (I use that word very liberally) prey on a daily and thus re-creating a need for these now defunct mobs.

My second reason as I feel this change would allow more casual / time-constrained players to work towards their i110 gears without having to partake in the rush and rash of A and S rank hunts where pop windows may not align perfectly with the players holding down a full time job. Players can still have their seal count augmented by hunting A and S-rank mobs but not feel constrained to "waiting all day for a FATE like mob to pop" and can do other things to supplement their Allied Seal count.

Why make the adjustment to 40 seals? Because it matches in line with a weekly reward trend the game likes to take.

3 Daily Bill Marks X 4 Seals = 12 Seals
2 Daily Fate Marks x 10 Seals = 20 Seal
1 Daily Elite Mark X 40 Seals = 40 Seals

This is for a grand total of 72 seals.

72 Seals x 7 Days/Week = 504 Seals / Week

This is enough for one Oil of Time in a week, which lines up with getting an Oil / UAT from ST, and a week and a half of work for get a Sand.

This also adds to additional content options that players may be able to partake in on a daily and give a bit more life to one facet of the Hunts that is currently no longer looked at very much.

Random Note: Drawing attention to this thread regarding adjust FATE mobs for Daily Bills as I also find this idea to be a grand idea as well and would also make the hunts more reasonable for the player base (no one wants to sit around waiting for potentially 3-4 hours for a single FATE for 10 Seals..)

I like this idea and agree. I for one can't take part in hunts as the mobs always vanish from my screen due to the thousands of people there.

I agree when I cant see the S hunt it gets to be ridiculous, I had 3 S ranks screw me over today cause there were too many ppl even tho I would be there the whole time. I think making the B a daily instead of a weekly would be nice for ppl that want to earn seals but cant. Not like its really going to effect the "hardcore" ppl doing it if they want the seals they'll get them anyways why make the rest of us earn them so slowly cause we don't want to be in the flood of ppl?

Yes.

doing daily is a waste of time now. weeklies should become dailies and make us hunt for A marks for weeklies instead. 50 seals for a daily and 200 for a weekly, please.

Yeah it's nice to be able to do these while I'm wasting time sitting in an unnecessarily long queue for ST or Frontlines. Otherwise doing A- and S-Rank monsters outside of a full party means less pay for more work. Because surely I'm working a lot harder DPS'ing my heart out or healing others around me who are fighting the boss as well, than the ppl who spam unnecessary skills like overhealing for credit.

My hunting experience today was really negative, the times I was where a hunt mark showed up and I was there on a lvl 50 and asked for an invite no one bothered. Even with a second or third request before the pull in case people assumed I got picked up. I know that only party leads can invite and a lot of parties are full, but when you've just spent a few hours helping random new undergeared players and here's 100+ people who can't be bothered to say "full party here' or invite, and then they pulled and I fought the entire fight for a lousy 5 seals it took a lot of self control not too say a lot of really hateful spiteful things. While I can't say I hate any one individual for it, each negative experience like this makes me incrementally hate the overall community that much more. And I learned long ago that to expect others to be as considerate of you as you are to them only, leads to disappointment and I lowered my expectations further within this game, but so many things like this just chip away at the part of me that wants to help people and I fear one days all that will be left is a jaded shell of my former self.

The same guy (who wasn't the one who announced or found the A- or S- ranks ran in and pulled 3 in a row early as people were trying to get there. Part of me was annoyed at him and SE for the time I wasted... but since I didn't get into a party anyway, that's growing bitter part of me is consoled that it kept a lot of other people from getting it too.

Well done, SE. Resolution for tomorrow- try to be more selfish. For practice run beast tribe quests in high aggro area, let another player on same quest take on all the enemies necessary to interact with something so I can interact with our shared target and run while they do all the work.

Am I the only one who has been able to pick multiple weekly bills on this reset? I've been thinking they just changed it to a daily hunt with the monster changing weekly.

In addition to this, I think it would be nice if they added new weeklies for A-ranks (and maybe a monthly for S-ranks, you know, for completeness' sake). It just seems a little odd that they go up to B-ranks and just stop there, you know?

I like they way they dailies are now, but I like this idea too. Honestly B ranks are not that hard to justify the weeklyness.

I guess my ideal dailies would be:
3 normal mobs
2 fate bosses
1 B rank

with a elite A rank mob per week.

Total allied seals in a week = 375

Bs and As would work the same way Bs do now, so no reward if you don't have the bill, but Bs are soloable, while As require a full party.

My favorite would be:

- remove the seal reward from A rank like it was done on B, modify the spawn rate
- remove normal/FATE targets
- make B ranks targets for daily bills (with adjusted rewards and strength)
- make A ranks targets for weekly bills (with adjusted rewards and strength)

S ranks being special is nice at it is (low spawn rate, different and interesting spawn conditions). Maybe include them somehow into the world (like it was in 1.0 with a NPC at camps) and tweak their power (not just more HP but some challenge).

About 250-400 seals/week + whatever you get from S rank sounds right (5*10*7+25+x?), sands will be added to ST anyways. Limiting the seals will stop the QQ and hatred and make hunts a nice change of pace for everyone instead of a) something you do 24/7 or b) you just don't do. Also pricing should somehow adjusted (no, not for books).

Of course, hardcore hunters will QQ now...

I think they are starting to strike a good balance right now, the only issue is that B-rank hunts should really be daily and not weekly, and give 20 seals instead of 50. A rank hunts and S rank hunts are okay as is. The idea is to make A rank hunts not a requirement for a decent number of seals, especially given how many seals one needs to buy just about anything on that freakish hunting seals markets. Someone who can't do hunts for A ranks would get only 50 seals for the B rank weekly plus 224 seals from the daily grind, meaning it's going to take them three weeks to get a sand to upgrade one piece of armor or two weeks to upgrade a piece of jewelry. 20 seals a day from a B rank daily hunt would put the seals up to 342 seals per week without additional A rank hunts, meaning they are closer to a realistic number of seals than the 274 seals they are at now. Not ideal, but better than before at least.

Edit: this is also assuming that someone actually camps around for the fate spawning hunts. A lot of the time people ignore those so we end up having more like 12 seals a day from dailies, which is pretty pitiful to be frank. It's more time efficient to just find one A rank and score a kill for the same 32 daily total.

Could make Bs daily, As being weekly requiring a party, and S still being free game to all.

I think a week to form a full party and track down an A rank is enough time for everyone. Of course, they'd have to adjust spawn times and restrict rewards only to those who have the bills (or maybe give something once to the people in the party who don't have it to encourage participation).

If you ask me I think Allied Seals should also be rewarded through dungeons too. I understand the Hunts are for people to go out in the open world but would it be a bad idea for a specific instance or trial to reward you also?

Like this week Titan HM will give you 100 seals, next week it could be Ramuh HM. Once per week of course.
Running one of the daily roulettes will also give around 20~ seals.
Perhaps the last boss of a specific instance will give you 20 seals.

Make it like the hunts was before; you can get credit even if it's not your mark, but if you want to get the full everything (or even a bonus), then the mark you kill has to be the one you posted. Both ideas would be restricted for a weekly so you really have to choose if you want something NOW or want to wait for extra seals and gil.

All these (very good) suggestions aside, the bottom line for me is that SE made it fun to hunt B-ranks. I'd take about any excuse to do it more than just once a week.

I suspect it would be good for the casual dungeon economy too, since daily hunts are a low-stress thing to do while you're waiting for a queue. B's are less of an investment than FATEs, which I might not want to abandon when a queue pops.

I think they should put it back to the way it was, where all Bs give ACs all the time and only your weekly bill give 50 ACs, or make weekly bill to daily like in the original post.

Also, they should give a bonus for completing the daily stacks (3 mob types & 2 FATE bosses). It'll give a reason to complete them. I've managed to complete them most of the time.

It happened to me too. I think the emergency maintenance reset it if you had picked up up the bill but hadn't completed it.

Well, my previous posting is probably aiming more towards people playing on PS3 than anything else as they basically can't hunt A ranks period due to load times. The only way to make it work for those folks is to give them enough to not feel left out.

Oh, I like that idea. Like the bonus for completely all the hunting log entries in a level.

At first I was like "that's crazy!", but the way you've reasoned it out to be in line roughly the same cap as soldiery tomes and justified it using ST as an example makes total sense to me. I don't hunt much as it is, but this seems like a cool idea. Dangerous, because I can easily see people starting to harp on a "lack of effort for gear they had to work so so so hard for", but whatever, we all want to be caught up before 3.0 eventually rolls around, and it's not gonna happen for a lot of people at this rate. I say why not? This is a change I'd be cool with seeing.
