I come to you today to partly vent, but partly to beg for the developers to PLEASE increase the debuff slot limit, I know I am not alone in this request. Several of my classes rely on their debuffs to maximize their potential, but due to the system currently in place I cannot possibly reach it in larger sized groups/raids, especially as a DRG due to positionals and combo build ups slowing down my time to actually apply and KEEP debuffs active on the target before some SMN/SCH decides to put (for example) Virus on the mob which eats up 2-3 slots. Then of course there seems to be debuff priorities which knocks off my Disembowl hampering me even further.
I apologize if this was a bit of a run on sentence but at the time of this writing I am getting rather frustrated at this dilemma and is making me rethink some of my favorite classes just because of a technological issue. Surely SE doesn't want to limit their player class base just because of this?

They did increase the visible slots - In most normal circumstances you'll never hit that limit. You also have the option to only see your debuffs I believe.

Dunno if this helps but , like above poster mentioned, there is an option in the er... Options, heh, to turn on just YOUR debuffs being visible. I turned them on and never looked back. :D

That's kind of you to point me in that direction but that isn't the issue. This one is an internal limitation on how many debuffs can be on a mob at a time. That option is JUST for showing my own debuffs (client side) which I currently only show my own. Debuffs litterally DO NOT land...at all period because of this problem.

I'd rather just be able to have it show just my parties debuffs on the boss rather than the entire raids. Only thing that sucks though is things like Virus which is a shared CD for the entire raid :/

I have to second this thread, lately I'm seeing the debuff cap be hit frequently in ST and in Hunts. Any player who focuses on debuffs as part of their rotation will not be able to play as effectively as others. I disagree that there HAS to be a cap because monsters should be tuned to the number of players participating in said content and not the players tuned down to make the monster harder but that's only my opinion. In my opinion the debuff cap is not a problem in 8 man content but for any alliance based content it is definitely a problem and considering the sheer number of people participating in ST and hunts I don't think that it's irrelevant.

When I smn through ST I just apply my dots right away and then make sure their timer never runs out so I never face this problem (I know that's not practical for some other classes). The reality is though you don't have to pump the best dps to make a ST run go smooth, so until they actually make difficut, high dps requirement 24-man content this really doesn't matter.Quote:

The trouble it's every class land debuff, 2-3 different debuff for most of the class. on some class that can be annoying, but on class like Summoner it simply killing the class, since the dot it's 1/3 if him dps.
