I would rather them not I just don't want it handed it me.
I haven't done PVP yet.
I used to be a big PVP player in diablo 2 and other games.
though people take losing serious here and pull the blame game instead of having fun.
id rather have it on there makes ppl work for it and not just be handed top pvp gear
No, please don't.
Ugh...what's wrong with actually having to do stuff to earn the cool looking gear...
Please remove ScoB and hand me HA Gear! amidoingthisright?

The problem with the rank locked gear is it's subpar in Frontlines PVP - and if you ever feel like changing GC you lose your PVP rank which means all the gear you bought is junk until you rank back up to 38ish.
That includes any glamours you might have.
So yeah - they should take the rank lock off -it's pointless.
The fact of the matter is that no one participates in Wolves Den PVP anymore. Well, ALMOST no one. But still. It's pretty much dead right now. I can earn a full set of i100 PVE gear and be able to equip it right out of the gate faster than I can earn and have the ability to equip a full set of i100 PVP gear by running the exact same content. It doesn't make very much sense and, despite still being relatively recent, the whole PVP rank restriction has become antiquated really freaking fast.
Does anyone happen to know if glamours override the PVP rank restriction, though? That'd be nice, at the very least. I'd be willing to shell out a few thousand gil for some glamour prisms.
2.35 is supposed to have some adjustments to the PvP gear so that it is more viable in i80 Frontlines.
I'd assume the people saying "No it's fine" have not actually looked at just how much of a grind rank 40 pvp is. It's Ludicrous I tell you, Ludicrous! The grind for the points is enough. You can grind the top tier glamour fodder for like 3 different classes by the time you're actually able to wear it.
I don't know about you guys, but between hunts, novus and the pvp grind, there really isn't much I can "Please look forward to" that is in the near future. All this stuff is like 2+ months of non-stop boring grinds.
I like the look of that gear, but PvP is boring and takes ages. If only I could get it today with no effort. I know! I'll cry on the OF.
Your request is wrong on too many levels. God forbid you have to participate in content to see a reward.
Takes about 250 matches of frontlines if you win all the time, about 300ish if you're in the middle 2nd and third.
Suck it up. It's better than the 5k you originally needed from wolves den.
here's the google doc detailing the xp needed for each lvl and how many matches per WD vs FL.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...rive_web#gid=6
They said numerous times that they will change the stats on PvP gear so it's not "subpar" in FL. Might I add that everything with piety, accuracy and parry has the same subpar level as morale on PvP gear? Check your party members, they always have at least a few items with at least one of these stats.
Im fine with rank resets when people change GC. The latest trend is to bandwagon to the winning GC of a particular data center.
Another thing important to people who actually do PvP: I don't want newcomers to have access to i100 PvP gear within a week. I'd meet them in Wolves' Den to find out they actually have no clue about their abilities to put up a basic fight. PvE already has this phenomenon going: people in i105 + gear due to hunts who can't beat subpar content.
This is just another thread that shows people want everything and want it now. God forbid they have to actually do stuff to get it.
keep the level requirement.
The rank requierement is ok.
Having to level it 3 times is not.
The way you level said ranks is not.
The way you get your marks is not.
I wonder why people on this forums confuse skills and hard work with just spending time. It take the same to a players just mindlessly running arround the FL without participating to get said gear than someone who cares about its team and goes for the victory. No skill, no hard work, same reward. Because you only need to spend time, not do anything close to be skilled in something or to hard work for something. And after all that, if you ever change GC, well, remember, GC change comes with a lobotomy so you forget your skills and how to use the gear you just were wearing 2 minutes ago and you spend 2 months getting, you did nothing else, just, spend time, like you could even AFK or move a bit each 1 minute while watching a show on a second monitor.
"Hard Work".
PvP Rank is ok, the requirement for gear is ok. How PvP experience is given, and how there is 3 and not just 1 universal PvP rank is what is wrong. There needs to be just 1 PvP rank, experience and marks have to be awarded based on team`s place + personal performance, so players playing, get more seals than AFKers or bad players.
But is surprising and archaic, a PvP that requieres grind and is not just a relaxing way to spend time, is a booring grind if you want gear, and a stupid lockout and rollback if you change GC. Amazing, 2001 gaming standars when gamers had average 14 years old and did not have other things to do besides that.
I have a full set and I will say...no thanks. I bust my ass in frontlines and I don't even wear the i100 gear anymore because the majority of it is just horrible if not completely stupid.
Honestly though, what were the Devs. thinking with giving the WAR bear set two heads? That's a genuine question because the majority of people who comment on it, point that out first as being idiotic. If anything needs to be done, they need to change that head piece to a single bear head with a jaw opening visor exactly like the PLD set. Also...those giant wings on the bear set.
no one would do pvp if they removed the requirement this is a silly thread.
So is hunting, your point ? Im leveling up by doin Frontlines since I got bored of Wolves Den after a good hundred of match played. FL is fun and to gain a level its really not that long. I did like 135 matches on my scholar and I'm pvp 28, soooooo ... given the highest lvl you need is 38 I don't think its that much of a hassle
I hate to break it you, but even just doing mostly frontlines NOT win-trading, I've got a full-set of Swansgrace and Wolfseye armor (not accessories or belts) and I'm only rank 35. I've bought several other items along the way with my marks too like the battlemage robe.
AND I'm with Twin Adder, which is notorious for not getting first. It's not hard to earn at all even if you're 2nd or having 3rd-place streaks.
It still take 100+ hours with win trading by doin 0 efforts done VS 5 - 6 hours of hunting for a full ilvl90 set.
Sound about right. I'm not defending win trading by any mean btw, losers are losers.
Just go back into your cave
They're fun for dominating in wolves den, they will be fun when they make morale gear useful in frontlines (which they've said they will), AND they look unique. I've had fun earning them. If you don't like PVP, don't do it. But I'm having a blast. Sorry I'm not sorry.
Like I said you didn't earn anything it's the best PVP gear in the game but it's based on how much time you put into it, grinding. Not into some kind of ranking system based on skill that people who actually do good in PVP can get to prove they are good at it, something they earned. If you can't see the point I'm trying to make I'm sorry.
All the opposite. If requierements were reduced, not removed, but reduced and made reasonable, like having just 1 PvP rank, you would turn booring grind into progression, and people will not be scared off from PvP cause they will see their grind made nothing after doing as natural as changing GC, more people would participate from both, wolf`s den and frontlines.
Dont try anymore, he thinks spending time in front of a monitor is some kind of special skill only he has, braging right for spending +100 hours doing nothing but breathing LOL.
earn:
to gain or get in return for one's labor or service
To earn isn't just to get 'first'. It's to put in time and effort for. The people who put in time to get their crafters leveled up have earned the ability to be self-sufficient in creating items for themselves.
For the people hungry for first place, there are the PVP lodestone rankings. But the highest level armors are not so restrictive. Grinding = putting in time and effort = earning. Sorry again.
The hell? I said ANYONE can earn these armors by putting in time and effort. Don't pat yourselves on the back too hard.
Grinding = Booring repetitive activity of cheap mechanics made to elongate gameplay time.
Whats the effort in that? endure it? lol.
Anything that comes with just time is equally efortless as something that is handed down to you.
