It's over 9000!
I've seen summoner end with 240k and runner up was a dragoon at 140k.
The highest kills I have ever seen for all 3 GC is 15 kills, but average player health is only about 4k. If someone has 140K dps but only with let's say 10 kills. I am not sure whether i should praise him or questioning his skill of landing fatal blow.
240k as a smn? Jeez, if that's true that's pretty crazy. I've done almost 150 frontlines and have yet to see any smn hit over 150k lols. Kinda hard to believe that. No offense =\
For DRG, the highest I saw was 112k. So I can see 140k happening.
Well, fatal blow doesn't really matter as long as someone gets the enemy dead (imo). Besides, skills like mercy stroke and misery's end make it easy to kill steal. I've been in several matches, doing over 140k dps where my kill count varied between 4-14. I noticed that whenever most of my team comprised of Bards, the less kills I get.
I'd look at their deaths at that point. If they only died 0-3 times with that level of damage and that kill count, then they were probably focusing on assisting others kill their targets, spamming AoE, or were in a really long fight against some healers. If they had that damage and that kill count, but died 6+ times? They're probably suicide bombing.
Tea does 300k as SMN and averages 150k. SMN's pretty badass. DRG/MNK average during a good match is probably 100k-150k. BLM can get 150k ish if they can consistently cast efficient spells. :P

Thats the highest I've done so far, gonna aim for higher with LB :3
Highest Kill count ive seen was a smn in my party go 21 kills-0 deaths. I forget what his total dmg was. Was the only time i saw someone with that high a kill count.
Highest damage has a monk has been 125k, but highest k/d was 22/0 (signature).
Our summoners break 250k+ in games where the enemy team has lots of healers, but that's just because we aren't killing as many people as usual so their dots just keep on ticking. Games with those numbers always mean we had extended fights where people were slower to die.
DRG - 140k damage, 11 kills, 3 deaths.

Haha, damned scholars. :P
So, what, did you just let Eos do its thing and focus on damage?
It was one of those "We're missing seven people at the start" YOLO parties... Wasn't much healing to do (as you can see.) I'm sure most of that is self target Lustrates too. :)
My best record so far was 15-0 , 149k damage without using a Limit Break as Summoner. Casters can really throw off the DPS with a quick Bind/Sleep LB, but I'm not a dick.. and there are better times to limit break.
220k on smn
130k on brd
540k heal on whm
28k damage and 5 kills might not seem like much but considering I did it as a Paladin and managed to out dps several of the actual dps in the match I think its impressive.
My highest dps on PLD was 81k
Theres a prntscrn on my PS4 of a SMN doing 214391 damage. 13 minute fight.
ive gotten over 100k 12 kills on blm, i've seen people near 200k and over 20 kills, but the games where i'm in a premade and we run the map holding both adders and flames to under 500 points at the end all the numbers are pretty low. solo que end up on A with 4v4 healers on both squads i could see a smn hitting 300k easy, but sustained dmg doesnt really help your kill count or your wins because it's easily mitigated even by 2 healers cause even a bad healer's HpS is 3x the best smn's DpS, and DoT's don't interrupt casts. burst dmg is king, numbers are lower kills are higher. 3 good blm's in a squad wont bread 100k usually but anything they touch is dead before a smn would get his dot's up.
then again if 3 smn's were well co'ordinated they could put up 3 dot's and fester to instakill most healers in 3 casts and a weaved fester. maybe 6 seconds and change? 3 ifrits stunning. that might be fun actually. but damage dealt would still be low if it worked well.
Yeah Smners damage and aoe bane is a must for a lot of healing partys (the -20% healing only applys to heals they cast after the debuff is on, like medica II ect). Until the original medica II goes out and regen goes out u wont really notice the difference.
Smners dps varies from teams u fight if they don't group up near a flag u wont see 200k+ usually, but if there all huddled together its pretty much Christmas in Aug for smner.
My numbers so far

the numbers depend a lot on the match itself, like are you against 3 healers grps ? against no healer grps ? are ppl suiciding on your flag ? capturing outposts ? etc ...
As paladin I got 90k yesterday (STR SPEC, 3 points into PvP STR, full dps accessories, mostly bis stuff & sword oath), but even though that was a lot of damage for a paladin it was mainly because they had a ton of healers and the battle just went on for freaking forever. Could also get a lot more if all I did was rage of halone combo but my time's better spent stunning, covering, and shield lobbing healers that run and try to cast heals. With a dragoon/monk in the party for group STR bonus, eating food, a couple better equipment upgrades and a prolonged battle where I just rage of halone combo I could easily see 120k+ damage happening.
Summoners definitely have top DPS but lack in the burst department compared to others like black mage and dragoon. Also as a healer I've had a couple times where I got 6-7 kills but only 10k by just switching to clerics stance at the right time and helping my team burst someone down. I feel like the last 20% of hp is the crucial moment where if you can burst before they get a bene or lustrate not only can you secure the kill, but often times the healer will lose the beney as well (happens to me SOO many times!!).
Nothing better than a bad troll who needs to use gifs to look funny.
Disagree heavily. Fester/Energy Drain/ Ruin II/ Using Sic from your pet can be pretty heavy burst damage if targeted on one person. Whenever I use all my skills on one opponent as a SMN, they are either dead or at 10-15%.
SMN isn't OP lol Our numbers are that high for the reason WHMs can do 500k heals. DoTs, which coincidentally are reduced to garbage with WHMs regens up lol
You're a nut. Everyone knows SMN's are OP. Hell, I play PLD/MNK from time to time because it's just unfair playing one.
SMN's Bane easily makes a Healer's job annoying. Having all 4 SMN dots up on an entire alliance will always bring everyone's hp down by a good amount if left alone. If you're facing a good group that can coordinate attacks and burst through one healer at a time, even if the healer doesn't die, if 1 dps branches off that healer and aims for a dps, odds are they are gonna die without heals.
Then when it comes to 1v1, in the maybe 50-75 times out of the almost 300 FL matches I've done, I've never lost a 1v1 as my SMN. If a SMN knows how to make full use of all their skills, it's pretty much a done deal. Their burst damage is ridiculous.
True this does a lot of burst damage and works quite well, but also requires a lot of setup. They can also purify all your dots which ruins your fester which is your top burst move (I always save purify for this when there's an active SMN). Compare this to a black mage with fire umbral III who pops raging strikes, then cast phantom dart, fire III proc, swiftcast Fire III, eqanimity fire spam. SMN burst is good with enough setup but BLM can bust it out whenever needed.
SMN's can also use Raging Strikes as well. SMN's also don't get targeted as much as BLM's do. There's the problem with BLM's though. Once a BLM's Equanimity is down, what are their options? The only time they can really get out of it is if the other group they are facing are full of idiots who let a BLM free cast lol. It's so rare to see a BLM free cast for me, well mostly because I roll with a good group, and whenever we do somehow miss one, we just kill it instantly lol
Troll? Finding humor in something that is, at the least bit, not even considered to be such a serious thing, is now considered trolling?
I did not use that gif in order to provoke or offend you. Its intention was to merely provide a "cheekiness" kind of look as you were complaining about Bards taking kills and, I am in fact, a Bard. (Cant believe I had to explain it to you either.)
Lighten up kid. I aint trollin no one. But if in the case that Bards taking your kills is a serious, grief inducing, tear jerking topic for you, then I do humbly apologize for being insensitive.
smn is the most powerful dps pve hands down no argument from anybody exept maybe a proud mnk with a bad smn is his static. however pvp smn is probably the weakest dps. maybe a vit geared tank is worse but not by much because they have some interrupting abilities.sustained dmg means nothing here. all your dots on a full alliance is countered by a single cast of medica2. after that you've got a fester every 10 seconds wich a whm can counter with regen. they dont even need to cast a cure or a cure2 to counter you. burst dmg is king and smn gets the shaft.
if there were a mob in PvE with 5.5k hp, and a 5.5k regen every 3 seconds with another 1k/second regen on top of it... how many smn would it take to kill it?
It's bad trolling. I've met a number of your kind on multiple forums. All the same. Doesn't contribute to thread topic at all and just plays the role of the "funny guy" trying to get cheap laughs. That's what I consider bad trolling.
I didn't say much but say it was a bad troll attempt and you're reacting with crap like calling me a kid. Think you're the one that needs to lighten up.
After reading this, i think i might try SMN in PVP, those are some crazy high numbers. And here i was proud of my SCH's 200k HP restored and 4 kills in the last match I just did. LOL. guess i still have alot to learn.
I suppose people didn't bring 3-4 MNKs for their early clears of T8 for the deeps, eh? I assume when you say PvP you mean FL. SMN may appear weak due to it being a DoT based job, but they apply a different type of pressure to groups. For one, a single Medica II does not counter SMNs 3-4 dots(not including Shadow Flare). SMN forces Healers to AOE heal which have a much longer cast time than Cure, Adlo, etc. SMN also has a pretty hefty burst, a burst that can do up to 3.5k+ (Darn i80cap), the price is the enormously long CDs to emit that burst again.
BTW. You've clearly never done Wolves' Den in which SMN is literally the king. For a job so overpowered(In PvP) I simply can't understand why you say its probably the weakest DPS.
