Up until I get reply.
Get a better ISP. (Also a better character name)
It's a combination of higher than average latency and the poor coding for the game. This is the old I was out of it issue.
This being 'The Internet' no one has a 100% perfect connection and with a twitch movement game like this it's going to happen. Other games (MMOs) have code that compensates for the player's reasonable latency but this game does not so you either have to have the best connection possible and sometimes that's with tunnelling services like 'gamer VPNs'.
maybe SE will implement proper netcode that also compensates for the expansion but don't count on it. If you decide to quit make sure you tell them why. If enough people do it they might wake up.
PS: My connection is fine and I have no issues but some people aren't as lucky.
I can give you everything you need to prove that my net is perfectly fine. I have no issues with any other game, absolutely no issues apart from some parts in this game so far and from my discussions with other people today so far they kept emphasizing to me how they have similar troubles with titan EX and no other PVE material. Latency like that can be found when your got "spikes" or when generally you are rubberbanding; when your ping is going up and down.
It has been so bad today I am forced to use DT AND speed mantra.
Ouch, yeah. I can see that getting annoying real fast.
If I may, have you tried lowering your settings? Limiting the effects of yourself or your party members?
Is your camera set to Legacy? Even a small amount of walking backwards can mean the difference between eating Landslide and avoiding it.
Unfortunately, Titan Ex is a merciless fight and one I think is in poor design but that's neither here nor there.
On the other hand...
Are you getting DC'd a lot? 90k'd?
Is someone at your home eating your bandwidth?
Is your router software up to date? Can your router handle your internet?
If you're like me, you don't really have a choice in changing your ISP.
http://www.speedtest.net/ use that to check your internet speed, if you aren't getting what you paid for make sure to call them.
Pretty sure the guy in the video would have survived if he didn't stand in the cast until it was almost finished...
You have to look at his cast bar. His cast went off and you were still in the line so that is why you got knocked out.
Jumping out of plumes was the 1st issue and his first death, second death all though I can't see a focus bar on Titan to see when the timer on Landslide ends he is right at the edge of the landslide area when it dis-appears. You can't go by the AOE marks, you need to be out before he is done casting the move. Next time set up a focus bar so you can see whats coming at you, this is clearly a player issue not ISP issue.
Can't say for this video, but it's not always an accurate indicator. I've been hit by things that still had 1/3 to go on the cast.Quote:

15ms so as you can tell I got fibre. Nothing to do with my ISP. Graphics card is AMD 7790 so it is absolutely fine.
Through DT it was fine at some point. When I tried to do again with PF and with some others I knew same thing happened.
Will try again today to see if something changed since they had some maintenance.
Latenacy has been an issue for many in both Titan HM and Titan Extreme. I was blocked there for a long time while playing on ps3, then i changed to ps4 and it really helped, but i can still notice latency.
Also, you're commenting on names?! Oh right, i forgot with this in your name -> ' <- it spells cool right? Please....
I usually never lag at Titan Ex.
The only thing I do is that I use my 1mbps ADSL connection to run Titan Ex. When I use my 100mbps Optical connection I lag a bit.
And I'm in Brazil.
Besides that, I'm on PC.
I was stuck on Titan Ex for MONTHS and had some issues dodging myself. However, I know it wasn't my ISP/latency problem and that I just sucked at dodging. Changed my camera to legacy and once I got used to that, I was dodging like a pro. Found that if you stay out of landslide way for the first half of the cast bar and go back in near the end of it, you won't get hit by it.
Titan Ex is one of those fights you really have to pay attention to casting bars or know when the attack is actually coming. If you learn the rotation, it's so much easier.
I know it isn't the answer you are looking for, but Yoshi himself stated that Titan EX is all about memorizing the pattern, and iirc that's why they never overlap (with him jumping and falling all the time). I don't have the best connection in the world, plus I live FAR from Canada (are servers still there? idk, xD) so I learned pretty much the entire pattern (double WotL still gets me) and avoided attacks by antecipation. But yeah, Titan EX is extremely unforgiven, xD
Oh how unexpected.. someone on NA servers is telling someone from EU servers to get a better ISP...
I dont have much problems evading AoE, but thats because im not slow at it.
But just because some people are quick at evading, doesnt mean its not laggy.
I think its just not fair that NA and JP players are allowed to play on easy mode.
Yeah, it was. I see a lot of people complaining about this who often turn out to be playing on saturated wifi connections. Tell them to plug an rj45 cable in, and suddenly their problems go away.
Boils down to either a lot of jitter on your line between you and Square, then, or just plain or poor reaction time. As I've said before, I'm playing on the Canadian rack from Hong Kong, and if a middling thirty year old with arthritis can dodge landslide, I'm sure you can :p
Did you traceroute the server ip yet?
I'll give you a scenario of someone with higher latency making it through Titan EX. I have a member of my FC that lives in Scotland. Due to his sleep schedule and such, he's usually awake and online when we're all online, which is during NA prime time. It took him a few tries but he did clear titan ex, and a number of times after that as well. He just had to anticipate when the attacks were coming. It was funny listening to him on TS trying to dodge though lol
I have the same problem as OP, at times is my fault but most of the time it isnt, is just that stupid slight tiny lag, server lag really, and the only good run I had was when a player was using the sound to announce plumes, the sound was coming before I even saw the plumes on my own screen so during that fight I never died first ever, and was able to dodge the plumes simply because the warning came right on time aka when teh player using the sound was seeing it in his screen...that is for me the proof that effectively I do have a lag and no matter how much I try there isnt anything I can do about it..other then hope for the best. People can stay here the whole day saying it doesnt exist and yadayadayada and I understand them for those the only way to acknowledge that effectively some are sufering from those things is for them to one day be hit by that not only once but on a constant basis..

How many Americans do you think have access to 1Gb/s lines, lol? o_0
I'm been in competitive gaming since Quake test in '96. Trust me, after years of trying to arrange fair server match ups, most Americans don't have a good home connection. Cable providers in the US are over-subscribed, use out of date hardware with high failure rates, and prioritize the wrong kinds of traffic for internet gaming performance to be reliable. The existence so 'broadband' at all is debatable in many cities, as max available speeds are regularly below a 1mb/s, let alone 1gb/s.
Yes average EU connection exceeds average NA connection (Speaking for Germany). Played Titan EX here in Germany from a 1 Mbit ADSL connection without any problems. However, nobody else on the network may use the connection during that time (like watching youtube or downloading stuff). So for German players I'd say, they have brainlag or shitty desktops because we're all routed over the same 2 mega hops (Frankfurt or Netherlands).
As mentioned earlier the 1st time he tried to jump out of the plumes and it hits him at the end of the jump. The 2nd time he first rotates the camera and then starts moving which adds extra latency. You have to start moving immediately if you already have lag problems, so he might want to switch camera settings to legacy, so you can actually run to the back.
He could also try to play with a controller, since moving around is a lot easier with it, you have to get used to the cross hotbar layout though. Fast movement with a keyboard takes a lot of practice, so he may be better off with a controller.
