So you can do pervert thing by hiding under the stairs and look up to the panty view of other girl o.O
hmmm... you sure have odd hobby there!
You can look up if you use the pause key while looking at your character from above.
How your neck work to point your head straight up?
This is something that has annoyed me. I like to go to big structures on the map and look up at them, but then find out my neck stops at like... 75 or 80 degrees, so I can't actually look straight up.
Maybe we have accidentally discovered that either a few of us are too flexible or a few us of are too stiff. x.X Dun dun dun~~
I second this. Just a few days ago I went to a part of Ul'dah city I rarely visit, and I noticed it was raining even though I was inside. So i tried to tilt the camera to look upwards, but I actually had to take several steps ahead to be able to see the large opening in the ceiling.
Some might not know but Ctrl + arrow keys (up / down) will tilt your camera.
Home will make you go in first person mode.. o..o
I hate the "like in real life" defense.
A. I can see perfectly upwards in real life, without bending my back.
B. Even if I had to bend my back, why can't my character just do the same?
C. Why curb our ability to explore and look around? I want to see the world and take awesome screenshots, but the weird angle it stops at prevents me from doing that with various structures, even in First-person mode.
You can already do this with the "Character face camera" button.
Just make your camera look down on your character like an eagle eye view and press it.
I forgot what the original key bind was but for me it's the "Pause/Break" button on my keyboard.
This has also annoyed me, especially in the the Diabolos boss fight. Since our view upward is so limited it wasn't until my 10th time running it that I even realized Ruinous Omen was animated the same way as the ff8 version of the attack. Then when i tried to look up to see this awesome massive gravity bomb he was creating....no go
This has always bothered me in every game I've played where it exists.
I only want to see the sky. I'm too big to look up skirts and kilts.
One thing, I don't see the harm in permitting us to look to a higher degree.
I do some the harm in restricting us from it as it's a major, unnecessary annoyance for many I'm sure.
Why don't you just go into first person mode and look up? :o
looking up, followed by putting your palm over your face.
Is my post really that hard to understand?
People suggesting looking down on our character or looking up in first-person... I don't get it.
Do they not know you can only view upward at like a 75deg. angle?
I'm not sure I can see the problem...you can look up--even at a 75 degree angle--and turn around and stuff to see everything there is to see.
And no, you can't use that to look up skirts. When you're that close you can't see the person that you're standing or sitting under in first person mode. :(
This makes it hard to see the ceilings and the fixtures on the ceilings though. I have to go out of my way to get far enough away from what I want to see in order to see the part that I actually want. The Burning Wall somewhere in Thanalan is a good example. I went up to one of the crystals because I wanted to look up at it as close as I could, annnnd... Nope, my head apparently locks at 75 degrees and so I can't look at it without going rather far away. In smaller areas, this makes it even harder to see things that are taller or higher up.
I second this idea. I still remember the first time I got to turn 5 in coil and I wanted to look up to see the cool ceiling depicted in the cutscene, but the camera wouldn't allow it. Also, it made spotting Twintania in the sky much harder when I was first learning about divebombs.
I would like this as well. I've wanted to look up and the fact we can't has been annoying on multiple occasions. The world is beautiful. Why can't I see the ceiling?
I'm a lalafell now, it's so hard to see anything... I can't always carry around my stepstool... unless, make it a minion!
Make the lalafelling stepstool a minion!
Red Reply Please?
This lil girl cycler gets it.
I would very much appreciate this myself. It's not like the stuff we want to look at isn't rendered, the camera is just unnecessarily restrictive. I also wish there were less 'walls' that the camera ran into. If my character is standing by a poll or a desk or a zone line my camera zooms in for no real reason. I don't see how clipping would be a valid argument for that personally.
As long as it makes my character disappear when I look straight up, it sounds like a decent enough change. I'm really not into staring at my characters undergarments, and doubly so on a lalafell.
