My chin needs love.

Rather then rant about it in hair styles threads, let's give our beards the respect they deserve. We need beard options bad! I also feel like beard options(or any facial feature) should be restricted to the facial slide you select.

That being said, give us glorious, free, long, beautiful beard options!!!

I second this. More facial hair options for the guys, should say women as well, because someone might wish to roleplay as a bearded lady (you never know!)

Not fan of big bushy beards, but I would love if my character could have a short goatee of somekind. I hate the other face options as a Keeper of the Moon, so no beards for me for some silly reason =/

Yes! We need more beard options. Poor midlanders and certain miqote only get really sad looking fuzz.
Chuck Norris would play FFXIV if they had beard options that are half as good as his beard... But then the game would crash.

I would disagree, as the Holy See of Ishgard has pretty long beard according to the 2.3 trailer. He obviously doesn't go much of anywhere, but still. Anyway, I would support having more beard options in-game.

I fully support any type of beard-love. It's very depressing to have such an incredibly robust character creator and be stuck with such subpar options for beards.

The above image was taken from the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn 2.3 Trailer. So there we have it, there is the chance for characters to have long gandalf style beards in this game...

Also, yeah, Ramuh kind of embodies the Old Wizened Wizard with a long @$$ beard trope...

Sure, their beards aren't as long or uniform as Gandalf's, Saruman's, or Dumbledore's, but they do exist.

For some reason or another Ramuh's beard looks like a blob of whipped cream to me in the videos. It doesn't move as freely as a beard that size should.

I wasn't implying that it doesn't exist outside of the west or anything to that degree, rather that you don't see many fantasy setting stories (magic, enchanted swords, monsters, etc) from the east that involves a lot people with those wizard-like long beards.

Ingame, it doesn't exactly seem to blend well with how the rest of the games world is. Yeah, they exist like with Ramuh and the Pope, but I don't think it'd mesh well with the current style of the game if you saw a hundred players running around with it... albeit that would be an awesome sight from a humor stance. Besides, as awesome as Ramuh's beard is, it looks like the lower half of it got caught in a cotton candy machine with how fluffy it is. I'd think that less bushy long beards are more likely, by design, than the typical western wizard look (or old kung fu master eastern look lol). Kinda like Guan Yu's design from the DW games...

Facial hair of varying lengths would be a welcome addition. Doesn't have to be a lot, maybe something like 5 o'clock shadow, full beard, long beard. Maybe another one or two added to the mix. Options are good. It might get me to play my own gender, even.
