Please give us something to do with FC points!!

Please give us something else to spend the FC points on!!

It would of been a great idea to use them to purchase the FC housing land and or deed to attain a house but that didn't come about.
Also would have been a great idea to use them to purchase the crafter's stations, but that didn't happen.
It would be nice to use these on maybe chocobo stables, airship parts, there was mention of a chocobo carriage before, an npc that sells items for the FC in the yard was mentioned previously maybe the funds go into the fc chest automatically?

The point is it would be nice to use these points for something useful that would benefit the FC members and new people coming up and who just started playing... the buffs are ok but you can't spend them fast enough... there was mention of furniture before that would give the whole fc a 1 - 2 week bonus at the end of beta and during the beginning of release but nothing since. Any word about this coming any time in the future or was it squashed?

heh. I thought we had lots of FC points until the majority hit endgame. Then our points earning slowed WAY down. All of a sudden, I had to make the executive decision to stop burning through 2 buffs a day (we went from about 3 mil to 100k). ><' Fortunately, we have some new players again and our points are increasing.

It would be nice to have furniture options available for FC points, I guess.

I don't think they should touch this. Your FC has nearly the max amount of members, so it's no wonder you have so many points, but for many smaller FC's, mine included, we are always struggling for points. The average amount of members I see just walking around town ~30, but that's not all online, all the time. It includes people's alts and such as well.

The only benefit I can think of to having more big uses for FC Points would be motivation to increase activity, which, admittedly would be a good thing. However, it's a very fine line between what would be too much, which would limit players, and what would be acceptable.

You do realize 90% of the fcs don't have nearly as much players as you do , right?

I'm inclined to agree with the above post, most free companies only get a steady enough increase to put up 1-2 buffs at a time daily. And that's with a smaller number of members.

The sample size for FC points is too sparse to dedicate items purchases to FC points.



The /vast/ majority of FC's according to the lodestone most Free Companies seem to be floating in and around 10-100 members maximum, and that's not even the people who are actually online.
To introduce a system where lets say;

"Golden Chocobo Statue" is 500,000 FC points.
"Putrid Pink Carpet" is 24,000 FC points
"Cid Garlond in a maid outfit serving piña coladas" is Priceless

(THESE NUMBERS ARE AN EXAMPLE, DON'T QUOTE ME SERIOUSLY ON THESE)



For the vast majority of Free Companies, it would be a constant and very slow grind to even achieve a small basis of items. On the flip side, the larger FCs would simply demolish through the rewards in an instant, simply for having more members.


There's no way to easily balance this, without someone getting it all in one go, and the rest getting nothing without a long-term grind, which I can easily see the development team going "Yeah, no" for.

if FC points were used for things other than FC actions it would just promote more of the "Factory Guild" who invite anyone/everyone without a FC just to generate points.

Yeah no. I don't want to be forced to invite random people in our FC just for points sakes. I like my FC as it is, small, cozy and with quality players.

Actually I would go for this. Having a small FC we don't really use our points, Because there isn't anything we really need to use them on. Maybe they could add in some untradeable furnishing items, Maybe something for Future Content like Chocobo Stable items, Airship Dock items and whatever else they plan to add. But only if items weren't overly priced, Not everyone has millions of FC points like the OP.

Would be no different than the way things are done now. FCs invite/d people into their FC just to get Gil for "Housing". So if they added some untradeable items that we could use our FC points on then, I don't see how it would really hurt anyone. Also if you are already in a FC why would this even effect you? And yes I know you're talking about players without a fc. Think it would be a problem with players in a smaller FC because they wouldn't be able to purchase anything, Due to lack of players.

Umm nope, I don't invite anyone to my FC except for IRL friends. When housing first came out FCs were just inviting as many people as they could so they could fund a house. Those people didn't care who they invited they just wanted the Gil. Honestly I don't see how a FC with more than 50 players could even keep up with a conversation.

But to stay on topic, I don't think it would be a bad thing for SE to add something that we can buy other than FC actions. Like some Furnishings that could use our FC crest designs.

love the ideas of something like mentioned earlier gold chocobo statue for the yard :) untradeable furniture so that RMT or people can't exploit it just something for the FC house unsellable so its not exploitable :)

Yeah you only have too many points as you have nearly 500 members. The majority of FCs have 100 or less. The system is fine as it is.

Points could be used as a maintenance fee. The bigger the house + each individual member = maint. fee in points. Example, 5000 points maint for a medium house + 100 points for each member paid each week/month. More people means more points which means more points to spend on maint.

I think there needs to be a point sink. Nothing serious, just SOMETHING to spend points on.

^^^^ so much this.. Call me a cynic but I think he deliberately made this post as a troll post.. Gloating because we'll examine the screenshots and notice just how many ppl in his free company there are. Who cares. All those freaking members and you'll never really get to know but a select few.

Coincidentally we call large FC's such as yours corporations.. At least you got the name right.

no was posted to generate ideas and use of fc points. after a while they just keep accumulating. I was not asking for something that gives an advantage or benefit to larger companies aesthetic statues or such would be great just trying to generate more ideas from players in the game it more fun and have a use for something that is totally useless atm... we have been told all kinds of things would be added since beta and still have not even seen hide or hair of any of it...

Yeah... no. My company has to stop using company actions every so often so that our points can replenish. The level II actions add up fast and can quickly decimate our point pool. Toss in McGuffins like special furniture or items and suddenly we have to choose between actions or McGuffins (though 9 times out of 10 it's going to be the actions, just so much more useful than some goofy chocobo statue).

As someone who is solo'ing a FC, I'm not that keen on having content in the game restricted only to those with larger FC's.

these are choices you make when having a 4 man or 10 man fc though... large fc are about working together as a community too but it entails having players on 23/7 so that they can work together and do stuff together when they like and always someone online to play with chat with etc. SE made the FC's large in number for a reason so why shouldn't people who have large fcs be able to utilize what it has worked for? I ma not saying give some super buffs or give an advantage to large companies over smaller ones stuff like vanity items for the house or new house items for the yard. It isn't required to have them it is just some extra items in game that just add aesthetic appeal, so your smaller fcs can keep running a buff you don't have to use points on them. The idea of the thread is not to argue its just to try and get more ideas and maybe add a little more fun and content ....

Your guild is one of the outliers. Most guilds don't have that many points. Even my guild with around 80-90 active members each month is in a slight deficit doing 2 tier 2 buffs each day.

if you add content that only large FCs can obtain that means people in small FCs can't get them. that would create a community of haves and have nots, which is not fun. why should people who are not in large FCs be restricted from content?

what they should do is lift the cap on how many actions you can buy each day. if an FC can afford to buy them all, they should let them go ahead and buy them all.

You haven't worked for anything. Any FC master could spam invites to every level 1 they see and get 500 members, but most choose not to. Points are accrued by simply playing the game, therefore more members equals more points. So to literally reward FCs for having a huge number of members would be a terrible idea.

Were down from like a million to about 70k ........ glad people kept using the wolf marks up buff when only a few of the members did pvp.
