Please give us something to do with FC points!!

Please give us something else to spend the FC points on!!

It would of been a great idea to use them to purchase the FC housing land and or deed to attain a house but that didn't come about.
Also would have been a great idea to use them to purchase the crafter's stations, but that didn't happen.
It would be nice to use these on maybe chocobo stables, airship parts, there was mention of a chocobo carriage before, an npc that sells items for the FC in the yard was mentioned previously maybe the funds go into the fc chest automatically?

The point is it would be nice to use these points for something useful that would benefit the FC members and new people coming up and who just started playing... the buffs are ok but you can't spend them fast enough... there was mention of furniture before that would give the whole fc a 1 - 2 week bonus at the end of beta and during the beginning of release but nothing since. Any word about this coming any time in the future or was it squashed?

heh. I thought we had lots of FC points until the majority hit endgame. Then our points earning slowed WAY down. All of a sudden, I had to make the executive decision to stop burning through 2 buffs a day (we went from about 3 mil to 100k). ><' Fortunately, we have some new players again and our points are increasing.

It would be nice to have furniture options available for FC points, I guess.

Your FC has nearly the max amount of members, so it's no wonder you have so many points, but for many smaller FC's, mine included, we are always struggling for points. The average amount of members I see just walking around town ~30, but that's not all online, all the time. It includes people's alts and such as well.

The only benefit I can think of to having more big uses for FC Points would be motivation to increase activity, which, admittedly would be a good thing. However, it's a very fine line between what would be too much, which would limit players, and what would be acceptable.

You do realize 90% of the fcs don't have nearly as much players as you do , right?

I'm inclined to agree with the above post, most free companies only get a steady enough increase to put up 1-2 buffs at a time daily. And that's with a smaller number of members.

The sample size for FC points is too sparse to dedicate items purchases to FC points.



The /vast/ majority of FC's according to the lodestone most Free Companies seem to be floating in and around 10-100 members maximum, and that's not even the people who are actually online.
To introduce a system where lets say;

"Golden Chocobo Statue" is 500,000 FC points.
"Putrid Pink Carpet" is 24,000 FC points
"Cid Garlond in a maid outfit serving piña coladas" is Priceless

For the vast majority of Free Companies, it would be a constant and very slow grind to even achieve a small basis of items. On the flip side, the larger FCs would simply demolish through the rewards in an instant, simply for having more members.


There's no way to easily balance this, without someone getting it all in one go, and the rest getting nothing without a long-term grind, which I can easily see the development team going "Yeah, no" for.

Yeah no. I don't want to be forced to invite random people in our FC just for points sakes. I like my FC as it is, small, cozy and with quality players.

Actually I would go for this. Having a small FC we don't really use our points, Because there isn't anything we really need to use them on. Maybe they could add in some untradeable furnishing items, Maybe something for Future Content like Chocobo Stable items, Airship Dock items and whatever else they plan to add. But only if items weren't overly priced, Not everyone has millions of FC points like the OP.

Would be no different than the way things are done now. FCs invite/d people into their FC just to get Gil for "Housing". So if they added some untradeable items that we could use our FC points on then, I don't see how it would really hurt anyone. Also if you are already in a FC why would this even effect you? And yes I know you're talking about players without a fc. Think it would be a problem with players in a smaller FC because they wouldn't be able to purchase anything, Due to lack of players.
