I was bit surprised when I log in and tried to do a low level duty roulette and couldn't do it in a party like you can in expert/high level roulette? Why treat low level roulette any differently?
The point of the low-level duty roulette is to:
1) Lower queue times for low-level progression content by feeding higher level players into the queue who would otherwise have no incentive to do so
2) Put experienced players into lower-level content to help and teach new players
Allowing premades to use the low-level roulette would completely defeat the purpose.
Something tells me there's only a very small minority that would always have a full party ready and raring to go for even low level roulettes.
You realize that by not allowing people to queue for the roulettes together your more likely to have them not run. I'd gladly queue as my blm with a tank/healer from my FC and just do the roulette for the bonus but I don't have time to sit in the long DPS queue on my blm most days.
If they added that for low level roulette they'd likely make you ineligible for the bonus. Being able to run as a party and still get the bonus for High and Expert only hurts people who intentionally queue for Pharos lol Notice you can't do it for Trial Roulette either because like the low roulette it would very much hurt newer players who are looking for groups for story content.
And how would this defeat the purpose exactly? If that's the case then they shouldn't have put it in the game at all because then 50's that Q for higher dungeon's aren't getting them either because of people having a full party so yeah.... wouldn't make a difference considering most of the time i might have 1 person with me i would like to see low levels in there. I personally haven't seen a difference in Q times for high dungeons or anything as bard so i don't think it would hurt to put it in there so people can help out there free company when needed...
I thought you didn't get the bonus for the roulette if you were in a pre-made, or is that daily bonus only?
At any rate, couldn't you just pick the duty? If you're looking for some randomness, have the party leader check five low level duty boxes and register. 20% chance to get one of those randomly ^.^
Just an idea.

You don't get the Adventurer in need bonus.
It makes sense to ban parties in low level and trials. That's where help from experienced players is needed the most.
But some people said that allowing premade to any roulettes would defect above purpose before the patch...
So why suddenly hi-level/expert no new players need to have help and teach?
In fact allowing premade to use high/expert would defect the said purpose as well.
IMO, roulette was made to motivate daily logon like those F2P games, as a online game, ARR wants you logon everyday. ^^;
FOr what help and teach new players, you will do it anytime, not limited in roulette.
My best guess is that enough level 50 players (both experienced and new alike) are queueing for max-level content for tomes and gear that the developers don't feel letting a few premades through will compromise the purpose, whereas the same is not true for low-level content. (Personally, I would have banned premades for any roulette, but oh well)
The roulette does help players play every day, but I don't think that's the primary goal, and even it were, banning premades does not affect that goal. People might grumble about having to risk a poorly prepared group in the roulette, but they'll still log on to run them (and if they're the kind to avoid it for fear of low-skill players, they're probably already playing it frequently with their friends anyway).
And of course people and help and teach new players anytime, roulette or no. But on a large scale, you cannot expect the community to behave so altruistically with any kind of consistency. Before the roulette, when you were at high levels, were you queuing for Sastasha, Tam-tara, and Copperbell Mines? I sure wasn't. I was queuing dungeons at my level. Sure, you might help new players if they happen to be in your party. But if you never queue for those low-level dungeons, you're never gonna see those new players, and they're never gonna see you, because there's no reason for you to queue for low-level content unless you happened to feel like being a Good Samaritan. The roulette encourages all players to run low-level content, regardless of level or mood.
I was actually all for this. Roulettes have extra bonuses to even out the inconvenience of having to queue for randoms so duty finder doesn't take 3 hours. I'm okay with the level 50 roulettes being done in parties because they're not new people who need help progressing their story.
I'd like to see this oversight fixed. I'd like to help low level players in my LS and I don't think it's unreasonable to want to get something out of being a nice person. Allowing low level roulette teams would encourage this kind of positive behaviour, if you ask me.
To help low level person in a FC, just run several times a dungeon with them.
Being a nice person it is not asking a reward, this is sword for hire :)
Want positive behavior, queue for primal story mode, and some other dungeons. there are others like me that do that from time to time.
The reward is people happy, specially when they have been struggling
When they changed the party requirements for expert/high level roulette, the effort vs reward is out of whack for expert/high roulette vs low level roulette. There is a "risk" and "effort" involved with getting the "reward" from the roulette. Sometimes you clear expert in speed-run time. Sometimes you don't. That is the risk/effort for the extra soldiery reward. Low level roulette had the risk of getting something quick/easy like TamTara vs a longer dungeon like Toto-rak.
The risk/effort of expert/high is gone now that people can just queue up in a pre-made party. Yet, the reward is still there. However, for low level, you still have to deal with a vast array of possible dungeons and 3 other strangers.
Maybe a compromise will be that you can't queue up with a pre-made party. Only 2 or 3 out of 4. Then low level people are still being helped.
I queue at the same time as a friend and we always get in together. This works well as a tank/healer combo. Not so well with dps.
That's part of the problem of why we see a lot of people withdrawing from DF when the commence window pops... over and over and over. And another reason why they should let people queue up together.
I'd like to have the option to join with a premade group or at least partial group. When people levelling ask in FC chat for help, they get very few answers only from the Level 50 players. And I can understand it. While I am helping too if somebody is on his 1st run or has tried it but faced problems he can't solve, I am not helping others with levelling through low level dungeons. If there would be the incentive to receive 100 Myths, the will to help would surely increase.
