This is getting pretty irritating

Bear in mind it's 10-15 minutes between each of these. I don't remember this happening before 2.2, granted I took a break from PVP after january.

Based on how many instant withdraws I see, there's a problem with people accidentally queueing for PVP when they didn't want to? The only thing I think that can be done about it is to pop up a warning when you hit the DF that you're queued for things in other tabs.

But yeah, this is absurd. It's even worse because the queue breaks after 2-3 withdraws and you'll be waiting forever until you withdraw/requeue.

I get this all the time when I que.; ;. its so dumb cause it makes you wait another 10min if someone doesn't press commence.
I think it happens when there are a lot of people who are not near your rank quing, cause the way match making works it makes you wait abit before pairing you aginst people not your rank and the wait timer resets after every withdraw @~@. At least, i think anyways.

That's probably because whichever role is most wanted was the one that cancelled.

Anyway, there isn't much you, or SE, can really do about it. >:

(I've seen far worse from Crystal Tower though; I think one time I counted about 12 queue pops before we FINALLY got in)

I'm taking a guess in the dark here but perhaps its possible people are dodging queue because they aren't queued with their friends for win trading.

A PvP Duty Roulette would be great, to assist adventures in need!

nuu, this is just happening in solo que level 50. All the WT takes place in Wolves' Den(Light Party)

I love the idea of PvP Roulette. I definitely hope they institute something like this. They'd have to make it a true roulette though like if you sign up for it, you can wind up in the 30, 40, or 50 tier PvP.

Happens a lot to me also man.. so fcking dumb. I remember someone saying it's cause people are atma farming and when queue pops they end up choosing the atma/fate over the Q pop, notsureifsrs

The constant player withdrawal is very annoying....sometime I swear Epistane is just trolling me!

Depends on the context of those chatlog messages.

Are you seeing that your queue pops, and then people are leaving queue? Are you seeing people leaving the party before the queue pops?

PvP servers are pretty broken (as we all know), but what I am seeing is similar to what was happening with Amdapor Keep before they increased the capacity for concurrent instances in 2.0. More often than not, I'm seeing people leaving the instance before the queue even pops, and it's because your duty finder tooltip will say "Reserving instance..." for anywhere from 5-15 minutes before the queue will actually pop.

I have no work-around for this, just pointing out that it has been happening. I have tried to leave the queue and re-queue when seeing it, and have tried to just wait it out. Neither way seems to help it pop.

Yeah but, if you queue in as a level 50 light party you will still get matched up with people who solo queued level 50. I haven't ever win-trade but I have gotten in a 4man premade with friends for queues. Almost never do we fight against a team all from the same server.

No, if you queue as a 4 man party in 50s, you wil NEVER play in the random/solo queues, they are completely separate. You can however, queue as a 4 man premade in 30s and 40s solo queues. Playing against a team that's all from the same server is usually a result of a 3 man premade + another from that server or just sheer luck that 4 people from the same server got grouped together.

Yup. The main thing about Light Party formations/queue is that you don't have to adhere to the Melee + Ranged + Healer + Tank combination.

Also that nobody enters it randomly really, so it's basically a wintrading ground.

Actually you still do. Get a "one or more of your members does not meet requirements blah blah blah" error

One of the major things that Square will have to do to fix these problems is one of two things. 1) Bring out content that will bring more people into the PvP gameplay and 2) Open up the Battlegroups so that there is a larger pool to pull from.

These are the two options that are going to fix the current 40minute queue problem that is occurring.

The MMR system or algorithm that Square is using to place people into games based upon Rank is a bit awkward as well and would need some reworks.
