It would be nice if Stoneskin could be AOE outside of combat.

Well, what our the point be? I mean, to avoid mobs outside of combat? Get into a raid with stoneskin already? I don't see the benefit, out of making things a bit speedier.
This would be a suggestion aimed mostly at raiding, specifically recovering after wipes. Casting Stoneskin once instead of 8 times on the party after a wipe would help speed up wipe recovery, and also help speed up pulls at the start of instances if a WHM is in the party.

A White mage skill that made your next spell an AOE.
They give you like what? 90 to 120 minutes on raids? If you're planning to use every second of that time, then there's something wrong with the party. Games don't need to be nerved more than it is, taking time to skin everyone is fine, takes literally 30 sec or less. Even less when you have two healers. Stop being lazy people.
Not a bad idea, I'd also like to see them bring back the skill that allows for a single target spell to be turned into an AOE spell. This might make more since for a WTM once the level cap is raised. :)
Good QoL suggested people have wanted for a while. Please make it happen SE, it is tedious to wait for every pull, and annoying for the WHM.
Also, please make it so you can put buff effects on people in a cutscene/zoning in.. Having to wait for that person to watch a cutscene when their body is physically there to put up Protect/Stone Skin on them is quite annoying.
Lee-Akira... How can you possibly be against a QoL adjustment? Even if whatever odd group you're in decides to take a 60 second break between every attempt, it would still be nice to cast stoneskin only once. It hurts absolutely no one so I don't know why anyone would be opposed to it.
It's really annoying to have to go re-Stoneskinning everyone one at a time after a wipe. Thumbs up, OP. xD

This would be a nice quality of life change. In the meantime, I generally just pop Presence of Mind to SS everyone.

The issue I have seen is WHM starting to cast on 1-2 people and all of a sudden a tank starts running in before everyone has stoneskin.

People late to to regroup and a tank runs in, and people miss stoneskin and protect all together..
Just bring back sacred prism. 1m cooldown (iirc) and some spells would be AoE (mostly used for AoE cura, regen and stoneskin)
i agree. having to spam SS at the start of the dungeon, before a pull, before every boss, etc. is just annoying. no reason to not have SS work like protect outside of combat. I don't think SS should be AOE in combat because then you're starting to make WHM look more like a SCH by being able to erect shields during battle.
I don't play WHM, But I'm all for this. Anything to make a healers job better.

Something to allow single target spells to target multiple targets in range would be a wonderful future cross class skill.
a skill to make any whm spell would be a little OP and easily abused, would essentially give whms a lb3 when they have the cooldowns.

I'm not sure how you're opposed to not sitting around waiting for the WHM to stoneskin everyone or doing it yourself to everyone. Nobody's suggesting a nerf. It would simply condense 4/8 casts of buffs into 1, just like protect is not only aoe, but with the WHM trait also includes shell even though it traditionally isn't that way in FF games. The devs just realized that healers will always put those buffs on everyone so why make them waste time casting repeatedly? Entirely the same situation here (when not in combat).

This needs to happen. The less annoying things that aren't needed the better. I can understand in combat. But out of combat? No, thats super annoying as are many things in this game simmiliar to that that should be patched.
Why is it that every time someone makes a valid suggestion, that would only help, and has no downside, there is always someone who feels the need to come in and complain about it?

This so much lol (and I main a WHM), also idk why the other guy said laziness is the reason...? It's pressing one button 8 times and have everyone wait for it to end. And no, people don't always talk strategy, and no, there were times where I completed instances on the last 1-2 minutes, so needing the whole instance timer doesn't means 100% fail.
If they did this, then the next step would make adloquim aoe as long as you aren't in combat, so you can get the big shield on everyone. One reason I think they don't do this kind of stuff is that if they did, people would start looking into ways to abuse it. Old WoW raiding, I mean really old like Molten Core, you weren't in combat until you engaged an enemy or healed/buffed someone that was, so groups would just sit one healer out and never cast a spell so they could only raise people that died so the group wouldn't have to worry about battle rez's. I'm not saying there would be a way to drop combat so you could do this, but if there was, then people would find it.
Or it could have nothing to do with what I just said, but maybe this could be the niche for a future job/class, get an ability that aoe's your next, if you go the offensive job, you could do things like aoe invigorate or some nifty enspell, if you go the healing job, you could use it to aoe a heal, or stoneskin, or an esuna type ability, or elemental spikes, you know, not put it in now, because they have plans for it down the road.
