We need metalics like this available as special dyes for everything. The painted look can go die in a fire.

Oh my god, Darklight finally doesn't look like ass!

It seems they did an exception to the DL. Even if it is not new equip, that they are dyeable is new.
Still ugly.
Huh...dyeable Darklight armor actually works in some cases.
Has anyone else tried other classes?
Notice how when you dye DL not just 1 part of the armor gets dyed. The whole set take a shade of the color you're using.
Where have this been all this time? About time we ditch the crappy dye system we have for this stuff.
Maybe work on this instead of minions.
Methinks they're ninja-testing something new.
Doesn't have that metalic sheen but,

Robe, pants and gloves of Healing with Soot Black dye
The robe doesn't look as impressive but the pants look like a huge difference

I did manage to see a lalafell with HDL earlier, it seemed to be a dark purple color, looked impressive for sure
Now where is my dyeable whm AF >.>
Yeah the DL gear looks nice being dyed. Now if they'd just let us take the bloody helmet off the heavy DL gear...
Love the red color on the darklight, very, very much. I took this in a horrible light, but

I may have made her look more FF1 Fighter-esque than I intended, but I'm not changing it!
Calling it now...
INC 5 random players of 5 different colors...
Teens with attitudes.....>.>
I'm not sure if this is the video (since is disabled on mobile), but will edit later if is not.

That does look great!
This system made me realize for the first time that on the DL Caster robe the symbols on the sleeves weren't white but actually metalic sheets of metal! I could have swore they were just white patterns before, but perhaps I was wrong all this time.
I agree that they shouldn't let us dye JSE, however we should be able to dye everything else. I'm already loving seeing everyone in different outfits after they added the glamour system. Being able to use the amazing dye system on U/U gear as well, would be the icing on the cake.
And no one would stop you from rocking your iconic white and red look, but that doesn't mean everyone else should be restricted too. The whole point of vanity systems is to give you options and individuality. Besides, the whole notion of iconic looks is irrelevant when you have people of all classes rocking bikinis and snowman heads. Making your WHM robe black or pink instead of white is hardly a big deal.
actually that color was in 1.0, there was an npc in gridania's adventurer guild with a full armor in that kind of red, im glad they finally added for us
makes me wish that the darklight for monk didn't look like a gimp/bondage suit.
I didn't notice they'd finally added something based on my feedback/response.
Nice! Been waiting ages for this D:

I'm glad they went back and let us dye the Darklight. I hope in the future, all released gear will be dye-able as well as artifact armor.
1.0 gear had a more metal feeling to it, 2.0 is more plastic
I just want them to make BLM AF/AF2 not look like it is wet rubber and more like cloth or leather. Also, give me an Igqira set ffs!
That armor looks great, what is the actual body armor pictured in the first picture with the gold? Is that the new darklight body skin with no head? I like the look of this over the new Soldiery tank body.
Actually I think it is a big deal. Some things are tradition and tradition needs to be respected. You can make most other armor look like the technicolor rainbow threw up on you if you like but Artifact is named artifact for a reason. It's an item from centuries past. Just like how Cid, Biggs, Wedge, and the moggles have always watched over us, whms will always wear white and red, just like red mages will always have the red pimp hat. Some things don't change and things like this...should never change. We should never forget where we came from.

So with Darklight dyeable... when can we expect to see dungeon sets dyeable? *sigh*
Let's give the devs some time, dyable dungeon gear could be implemented in the future. My apologies if this comes off as hostile, but you really can't please some people, can you? Every time devs do something cool, there's always someone going "yeah well they should have done MORE!". Damned if they do, damned if they don't.
Thank you, it look fantastic. If only I didn't have to wear the tin man suit, I'd like PLD darklight gear. If you could /visor i'd be happy.
I uh, think I found a problem with the dyeing though. :p Look at my avatar. Does it show only a floating head for anyone else?
