A lot of times I have nothing to do. To be honest i really don't feel like logging in now a days for some reason =\
Everything seems to be tied to FATE. And Random drops.
Hope they don't combine the 2... gonna be really bad.
I hate Sastasha and other pre-25 dungeons. Other than that this game has no issues for me.
The fact that no matter how well I play (even when I'm borderline passing out from exhaustion) I still can't beat Titan EX (with max Echo) because people can't learn from their mistakes :o
I just want to get to Ifrit/Leviathan so I can stop wearing this ugly Darklight bracelet -_-
fates are an awful...awful system that i thought would be fun since DE was cool in gw2, they forced fates in
so much crap in this game it's no longer fun. this is the most thing i hate. fates need to stop being
forced and put in alot of the content! -.- it isn't fun SE. ):
I hate the DPS queue, but I know there is nothing I can do about it..
And no. Being tank or healer is no option for me. I find no satisfaction playing those roles. Only going to level up them and gear them up to have them available for FC/friends. BLM for life.
The rigidity of the game. Everyone is forced into a certain part of the trinity, you are required to get gear in this order, and all dungeons must be complete under a certain time. It would be nice to be able to mess around and try new things.
I hate how negative the community can be.
^ The game is like playing on rails, and the final stop of the train is Farmville =-/
Sastasha
Tam-Tara Deepcroft
Copperbell Mines
The Thousand Maws of Toto-Rak
The game itself I love, even it's flaws, however what I do loathe is that whenever someone makes a suggestion thread to improve parts of the game, you get a hard core few that seem to think its their life's misson to tear apart the idea and make the person never want to return to these forums again
A toxic community is bad in anything in life, I just wish these idiots who feel that if it doesn't affect them then how dare it be changed, would leave
The ultra-hardcore and extremely vocal minority on this forum who no matter what SE do is never good enough for them, and who are not even consistent as to their opinions, seeming to fluctuate as to what they would consider their 'ideal' version of the game from FFXI-2/FFXI HD to version 1.0 with better graphics, to just effectively Second Life with a FF skin. This game will simply never be what they want.
The DF community </3
Copper bell ooh Im so sick of it now !
The RNG in this game.
In fates, in loot drops, and so on, as lots of people already stated.
Also the low level dungeons that roulette has put me dozens of times straight, everyday, on the same freaking dungeon.
But in crafting, RNG is even worse.
I have lost 36 pieces of Coke trying to craft Darksteel Ingot HQ.
In all 4 tries, the chance of high quality was supposedly 84%.
All of those turned out to be NQ Darksteel Ingot >___>
Also, how unbalanced the crafting classes are.
Weaver and Leatherworker have craploads (around 30) of high level recipes (50/50*/50**), while classes like carpenter has hardly any (like... 3 or 4 recipes!!)
The latest patch only made it even worse and more unbalanced than it already was.
There are a few things I could say I hate about this game. However, the primary reason I am quitting the game here soon is the following:
*I feel like other players hold me back.*
I have never said that about an MMO or any multiplayer game before. Normally other players make the game better. People to play with or play against makes any game awesome. But not this one. I believe the devs really had an epic failure here and they don't even realize the problem. It is a design problem. The way most of the boss fights in this game are designed, I usually need my whole group of players to perform perfectly in order to win. To know exactly what to do and when. And if just one single person can't meet the demands of the boss fight, then the whole group fails.
After 7 months of this stuff, I finally realized that it's the other players holding me back. The reason I haven't beaten this boss or that boss yet isn't because I can't do it but because it's so difficult to get 7 other people who can, and it has killed my motivation to continue playing. I don't want to say that the game is too hard and should be made easier, because that's not correct. It's NOT too hard for me. But apparently it is too hard for half the people I am stuck teaming with. And I am sick of not being able to clear content because of someone else.
So "What I hate about this game" is how it frequently makes me frustrated at other players. And honestly it's not their fault.
Just the lack of skill tree, other than that I kinda don't have any issue
the cumbersome UI
You don't have to watch a video for anything. Guess what ? I did a learning party for levi Ex, 8/8 total beginners, first time in, noone had even seen a video or watched a guide. We got to the last add in under 2 hours, and were just missing the flawless run to get the kill.
But yeah "watch a vid before even attempting" mentality, that's what I hate in this game
Claustrophobic Dungeons!
Battle system not complex enough.
No real open world content
Boring stats on gear.
Phase/Rotation fights.
Boss battles "raids" only. No interesting trash mobs or areas.
Lack of rare items.
Lockouts forcing players into statics.
Hard to schedule statics to get content done and if someone doesn't show can't do.
End game require too much "know the fight, one derp and you're out" to get things done. Not new player friendly.
Lack of diverse content. Not enough fun group content.
Fates
Gil seller spams.
I hate how this game makes little attempt to be anything other than a theme park....but luckily they seem to add new rides often enough....
What made me leave was that everything was scripted or designed to be the way it is; its linearity, I guess. SE got good at keeping everyone so busy, they'd rather do "official farming" than play with other people or do community content together. I'm a tabletop roleplayer foremost, so it's more of a personal problem.....trying to make sandbox content in a themepark MMO.
I think the one thing that would bring me back would be player made persistent worlds and a toolset like Neverwinter Nights had. But I'm in the wrong genre then...... :(
I think it depends on who's playing in your world, whether it's more fun or not (not to mention I'm more familiar with D&D and haven't played EVE). But even a mediocre-designed game can be a blast when playing with the right people. ....... if they're not busy farming ATMA and soldiery tomes until the next patch, that is.
The lack of events a FC can do together. At times it seems like it's either coil or trials, nothing in between. Where is the group based content for beastman quest? How about some more 8 man dungeons. True HM Treasure chest that require a group of i65 players. Group based Guildleve and End Game Guildhest.
Trash peoples in this game (only meant for those who "trash" , most playerbase is great)
Content locking/inaviability
No big world (about 80% of game is instance/raid)
Eu time = nothing to do / no friends online
Grind = can save when nothing to do (but after going 5~10 same instacnce runs getting tired/pissed off)
I really hate how you get good gear in this game. The token system is fair but it's sooo boring. You don't even do dungeons for gear you do it to get stuff to buy gear. It's just... I don't feel like an MMO should be like that, it looks more like a single player game.
I'd prefer if say Wanderer's palace and Ampador Keep dropped ilvl 60 stuff, Haukke, Copper bell and Pharos dropped ilvl 70, CT for ilvl 80, the new dungeons ilvl 90 together with coil, and then when they open up CT it should be ilvl 100 and new ct ilvl 110.
Every time you run a dungeon it would be more fun cause you're hoping for your gear and you just don't do it to get. They could also make the dungeons harder and a higher ilvl requirement so that you at least needed half your set to start farming for the next tier.
This is exactly why each patch changes from Hard-Easy and then Easy-Hard. Skill wise it's probably easy but the time it takes to get something done is what changes in difficulty. This is why I dislike the forums, because the game is like a see-saw that never seems to balance it self out or even "pick" as side.
FATES and titan EX
nothing to do but dailies and log off, it sucks.
I only hate is related to the game and that coming to the forums and seeing 10 threads all on the same topic.
No open world content :(
I wouldn't say I hate it but it makes the world seem kind of irrelevant and dead.
One thing I do hate with passion is the battle music and it's the same in every zone it's just really really bad baaad BAAAD!
The people who are willing to not only induce stress, but berate others and out right ruin things for everyone else because people wont do things "one minute faster".
I hate SE trying to push FATEs on people. They're fun to stumble on, but I don't want to be constantly forced to do FATEs for content (looking at you, past events and Atma quest). FATEs aren't fun enough to want to do them all the bloody time.
Also dislike how small and uninteresting some areas feel. I'd easily take copy-pasted textures every few feet in a huge open area I could get lost in, to unique textures in a small theme park-sized piece of a map.
Also elitists who make the game terrible for other players, but that isn't so much a problem with FFXIV as it is with MMOs in general, so not sure if that counts.
(Also the lack of more revealing gear for males. Yes I said it.)
not hating as hate for me is too strong a word, just wishing the world is seamless (as previously mentioned, I also dislike the loading screens) like my other favorite MMO, and that dungeon queue is quicker for DPS
