DIFFICULTY
I think 2-3 hours is too long.
Hopefully something about an hour long, with some interesting fights thrown in.
AHUAHAUAHAUHAUAHAHAHAUHAUAHAUHAAHAUAHAUHA
Simply nothing?
Starting from a pessimistic position can make you happy, someday..... maybe.....
I would like to expect something different about the Dungeons, even though Yoshida said that they would be like any other MMOs'. If that's the case, I'd go for less hours and more adventuring.
I have no idea. I was thinking about an Einherjar level in FFXI, some easy fights to start with, with some crowd control and tactics thrown in. Followed by a boss fight.
Repeat that a few times with different mobs and bosses perhaps? Could take an hour and have reasonable rewards.
I just think two or three hours is a long time for one thing, but perhaps I just have a shorter attention span nowadays.
Hopefully, dungeons with various ways and paths to complete and 2-3 final bosses (secret bosses included :D).
I have...no idea.
Well...I guess that's not entirely true. I'm expecting a winding environment in which a team of players navigate through, killing monsters and reaching points to activate certain features of said dungeon including uncovering hidden loot and bosses.
I'm wishing the dungeons have long-term goals and not just a quick slap and tickle.
Probably an area that's already in-game, albeit instanced, with 5-6 enemies that are the from the region the dungeon correlates to, and a single boss mob with only a changed color.
hope we build some sort or currency for beating/repeating dungeons, with some gear sets and crafting mats to spend it on. Give me a reason to repeat
MMM?......jk jk. I'm expecting us to have to unveil some of the lore behind dungeons in little filler quests first, then have access to them or something like that. Just going off the lil gazette article on the lodestone. We might need to do a quest where we learn the twin adder people disappeared in there, then you go and do quests to find them within the dungeons.
The hell is that laugh meant to be? I'm not sure why, but it makes me think of Santa. Are you santa?
I'm sad to say that (as much as I want them to be omgawesome and new) they'll probably be a couple of those data-mined cave zones already in the game, with a few enemy bunches in them and a garlean walker at the end of it.Quote:

I'm hoping for something that you could complete in 1-2 hours. But then you could spend time farming mats in the dungeon, SP parties, farming pop items for some side-quests in the dungeon, optional NMs that are more challenging and take a while to farm pops for etc
So basically, a shortish main quest to the dungeon and a wealth of other activities that will keep us engaged for a long long while to come.
However what I'm expecting is a small cave with a dodo in it that surprises us all by turning into an imp that you have to kill to complete. XD
I expect a R30 dungeon for 4-man party and a R50 dungeon for 8-man party
For them to have a legit name attached, one we can use to say to Joe "Hey Joe, want to go do X?", to deter from the use of the term 'raids'.
Maybe something ultra long, with some checkpoints (like Nyzul) but without any time restriction. Plus you can unlock new equipment/mats and go there to lvl up??
Well, maybe... :P
Yeah, I am kinda hoping for something Dynamis-ish. I think that they really NEED to give us something that takes longer to accomplish and something that is downright hard to do. Otherwise, the content will only keep us busy for a week at best and we will be right back to square 1.
I wish they would post a video teaser of the dungeons.
They need the minds being nyzul isle and assaults on this
I reckon you will go in and talk to an NPC, sign up for a "Dungeonhest" if you will, and bash out that checklist. Honestly though... I'm blindly hoping for something challenging, to keep me busy for 2+ months.
I expect a rush to danger with my group of seven rag tag adventurers. where once inside we are met with small resistance to slightly bolster our morale and confidence. Then, as we venture and survive deeper into the darkness, and our time inside increases, enemy forces will see us as a true threat and throw their best at us in an effort to reclaim influence over their home. If they succeed in surrounding and overwhelming us, we will be force booted from the dungeon in the form of retreat, should the influence sway to far in their favor. Players now at the edge of their seats, stomping their heels, turning off their cell phone, and screaming at each-other in an effort to organize and unify as a group as to maximize killing efficiency and lower casualty rates (and wishing they would've snagged some more consumables beforehand!), so to venture far enough and hopefully remain player influence long enough to have a chance at even seeing Mr. Final Boss. Should we fail now, our consolation prize is only whatever experience and rare loot we were lucky enough to procure up to this point. Should we succeed, we will be awarded any number of goodies, including increasing our ties and trust with the issuing authorities, in the hopes that one day they entrust us to even more grueling and threatening tasks.
imagination rocks
Yoshi-P seems pretty excited for these dungeons, so I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy whatever he throws at us, even if this is their highly infant stages :D
Short, boring snoozefests. Everything else up to this point has been mediocre; these two dungeons won't be any different.
I hope you are wrong but...
I am expecting a room with 60+ chigoes in it that can decimate my party for laughs
I definitely expect some content we can do while outleveling it and that will only bring useless items that will be discarded few levels later. All of it tank'n'boringspank style, of course.
I'm wondering why they're releasing 2 dungeons before the changes to battle system when they would have to rebalance the dungeons once again to suit the new system...either that or I'm anticipating piece of cake dungeons and they will stay piece of cake dungeons.
i was the first on my server to step into salvage...
so imagine the runs, when no one knew what they were or what to expect
and its always like that
thats what heroics were basicaly
except they were scripted, you had to, 100% do it according to how they wanted you to win or you lost, no room for error
it sucked, and wasnt even fun at all(as a challenge)
I hope they are related to companies ala quest/rank style, and maybe somewhat similar to the Shadow lord fight from xi,I liked how we had to fight our way in,then got a cool cs and boss fight.I'm probably wrong but that's what I'd like to see.
I'm expecting it to start as a leve quest- go into the dungeon to kill <x> .... X will be marked on your map with the yellow haze and red dots... fight your way there.. kill it.... chest drops, hit the chest- get the loot... GG
you can do dungeons every 2.5 days....
People then come to the forums to complain about how its too easy/mindless- people then defend the easy content by saying things such as "This is the first dungeon, give S-E a break!!" Or "They'll add stuff to it- you need to be more patient."
copy and paste.... heh
I am hoping for an hour max dungeons, with several explorable paths, maybe 1-3 alternative bosses, and hidden treasures that can be obtained via unlocking certain paths. I also would love to see, materials and gatherer locations intertwined within the dungeon as well, so that our crafter/gather classes can be implemented in all the fun as well.
On top of all that, I hope that we see mini quests within dungeons, and possibly have dungeons take part in some of the main story missions.
I am hoping for multiple paths or multiple floors, each of which takes 30-60 minutes to complete, and can be tackled one per session or multiple per session according to the desires of the group.
