If a player decides to buy a titan carry, can they trust people to carry them after giving their gil? I mean I would be very cautious about handing gil over not knowing if people will hold up their end of the bargain.

yeah don't. have some dignity and learn it and practice with your fc or group of people. so done with this titan pay to win shit. if you were on Balmung id run it with you and teach you the fight. there are others on the server that would do the same. your relic will mean more to you because you had to work for it and earn it.
it's cheaper in the long run to just find a successful FC to help you through it...
titan isn't that difficult, he isn't worth the gil just for a shiny new weapon.
and from what i'm aware the titan kill sellers either have you pay after the run or half at the start, half at the end.
I made everyone pay up front. GMs can intervene if someone takes your gil and reneges on a deal, as far as I know. You should check into the person selling. Check their FC. If its one of the more prominent FCs you should be able to trust them. The last thing a big FC that sells Titan wants is a forum post about them stealing gil. Also, buy from an FC and not some Titan selling PUG that I've seen forming on my server. At least two people in a PUG I helped out were making money and being carried at the same time.
Chances are youll have a friend, or an fc that will call upon you for help with titan in the future.
You might as well win it legit and not carried because you are going to be killing him more in the future either for yourself because 1 relic is never enough, or for helping others.
The transition from first time nail biting win to farm status is faster than you think
The groups as far as i know or at least the ones i have heard of do hold their end of the bargain. They can get themselves in trouble by scamming Gil and it's not really good for business to get a rep as a scammer i am sure.
You could just do like the majority of players who have relics and join an FC with people willing to carry you through it. That way you don't have to pay a chunk of gil. The going rates seem to be 500-700k for a win buy. Unless you have huge amounts of gil then it's the fast track XD. Though if the problem with Titan is yourself and not the people you group with then i'd recommend finding people who can help you learn the fight and not just pay so you can die and skip learning anything from it.

We sold for 200k just to compete with the other FCs selling... and that was two weeks ago.
^ Depends on the server, tis 300k on Odin
I feel sorry for the people who actually respond to people shouting "I am bored, send me 300k through mail for Titan"
I guess it depends on the server? Maybe some servers are just overflowed with run sellers so the price comes down faster i guess. I think on Balmung there are groups selling the entire Relic win package for 700k and a month ago it was that just for Titan.
I think groups started selling Titan on our server for 300k. I guess they didn't think people could afford 700k. 300k seemed like a good price for a Fresh 50 looking to get relic.
I feel this player-based service is legit. If scammed, the game rules step in.
Like any professional business, if you don't want to be scammed, research. Ask the group questions and find information from other customers. Truthful services wouldn't risk it.
@Velev under me: Any decent FC should ask for the reward after the run is completed... unless they guarantee success or your money back.
Well if i was to pay for a titan run, i would not pay upfront but AFTER the run is completed. That is how it should really be.
Any decent FC should ask for the reward after the run is completed.
Well that goes the other way what if the person takes the run and leaves without handing over Gil? There isn't really much protection for that as there is for somebody stealing Gil. I think some will compromise with a deposit before the run and the rest after though.
I tend to blist people shouting to sell Titan runs. They are as bad as RMTs in my eyes. Helping bad players be bad.
600-700k on Ragnarok.
I've never sold Titan runs and never gonna do that, but some days ago I entered in a full relic Titan group in order to spam it and get Crags weapons for everybody, the leader started receiving Titan buy offers XD
He obviously refused, we spammed Titan a bit but I didn't get the Cane of Crags .---.
Think that's a bit much. RMT and in game Mercenary services are very different. One is mostly run by criminals the other by bored players looking for something to do after finishing a bunch of content. Every MMO i played had groups who offered ways to acquire high level items by buying wins it's nothing special or bad. Some people prefer to play as crafters or as hardcore roleplayers and don't care much for the gaming aspect so they might have tons of Gil and nothing to do with it so hire gamers to do content for them.
It's like if you have a leaky pipe you can't fix is the Plumber a criminal because you pay an expert instead of learning how to fix a pipe yourself? XD
Certainly wouldn't advise buying from a no-name group, that is for sure.
it is too lateQuote:
Think that's a bit much.
the bad bads hating baddie bads have spoken, everyone who buy titan run is bad at the game! ;)
Runs only like 100-150k on Ultros :o
Should move whole FC to one of these other servers and make some money lol
What's the difference between getting carried by a FC and paid ppl to do it for you?
More-so, if one can pull his own weight, but just doesn't feel like joining a FC, why is it bad if he buys a run?
Do you also blist ppl with relic carrying their friends throughout fights like Hydra or Titan? Gods know how many player who couldn't pull their own weight I helped running Titan.
They also are not going to take gil and fail. These people do this tons of times a day and have the fight down so much they can do it in their sleep. They are just going through the motions each time and know how many dead weight players they can carry if needed. Of course some players are actually competent and can help out and are just paying for a good team after banging their head against a brick wall trying to find people.
I don't approve of buying Titan kills. That's just me. If you have to buy your way past it then what do you think you're gonna have to do from then on? If Titan is too much for you, then Coil is out of the question. Unless your plan is simply to get your relic and quit playing the game...lol Trust me, I know how frustrating it can be. You just gotta be patient, learn the fight, and find decent players (for free).
There are people making 500k per Titan run? Christ, I only have about 250k as a legacy player. The difference in wealth in this game is going to be ASTRONOMICAL.
Already is :X There are people that have stated that through selling Titan runs they have bought everything they ever needed (5meld gear) and have millions in excess so they started giving Titan kills for free.
On another note, to those saying to just suck it up and learn the fight: Not always possible. My PC runs most of the game just fine but Titan's zone (as well as various parts in the shroud and anywhere with more than 30ish ppl) drops me to 9FPS. This requires me to move for things before they even appear for me which ends up getting others killed. My character actually runs slower than others (did a test with a friend and auto-running, I was left way behind) because of this issue which gets me killed running from bombs if I'm not at maximum distance already. Luckily some awesome ppl killed him for me free of charge since I can't afford a better PC right now.
Honestly it is bad because forming social networks of players is a important part of your progression into hard content as much as gearing or knowing your class is. This is a MMO, and the content is designed with organized groups in mind.
Saying it's not bad because they don't feel like making friends is like saying a player isn't bad at their class they just don't feel like learning their rotations.
By all means players should play how they feel though, I am not going to tell others how to play outside my own parties and I don't disagree with titan selling. Besides so many customers are just people gearing alts and they are loaded with gil through crafting, they're not bad.
It's not 500k per player... beside, it's simply money getting transfered to player to another, nothing is being created. You know there are people on legacy servers with over 20 millions per character?
So, ppl joining shouts, are they doing it wrong? Not to mention Titan (and most of the game) is available through DF, what kind of friends you can make with it...
Beside wtf with the rotation talk, if some ppl don't feel like joining a FC or asking help around, they should be free to do.
I think stage 1 to 4 in titan is just fine the way it is. The problem I find is stage 5 when the rotation repeats. As a who I feel compelled to heal because either the tank took a massive damage or others are getting hit. If I don't heal, they die, if I heal, I get hit and die. The rotation for stage 5 needs to be slowed down to make up for connection issues. I think tanks have it easy as all they have to worry about is keeping aggro and preparing for tank buster. This fight is a who worse nightmare because of the demand to heal and move. I'm not there yet to buy titan run and only tried about 47 times but there comes a point where after 200 tries, you get tired of either dying or the group your in is getting hit. A fight like this should be after you get your AF and before coil stage 1
Who = whm stupid phones auto correction
There have always been & will always be mercenaries for hire in MMO's. There is nothing wrong with it what-so-ever. In FFXI, we sold countless drop items & Omega/Ultima/Kirin/etc runs to people that requested it. Not once did we hold judgement against the other players for it. Everyone has different play styles as well as available play time...this weighs heavily on decisions like buying an item/run. There are a lot of players who enjoy spending most of their time just crafting but still want to journey out here & there on a DoW or DoM job & want some decent gear when doing so.
Having struggled with Titan for a couple of weeks and finally having managed to do it I can honestly say that miserable as the fight is, it isn't worth paying for it. More and more people are getting wins and learning the fight and so it will be easier and easier to find experienced and geared people to help out. In fact on my winning run we had 3 relic holders and I've helped a friend since. I think initially there was a bit of a rush to get relics and so the pressure was on and people could charge what they wanted but given another 2-3 months it'll be much easier.
I think there is no need to pay anymore, many relic+1 people are doing the fight.
My team beat Titan on my second DF (yes, it's possible) and it was definitely not thanks to me...
Those guys were so good, I was dead half of last phase and they finished by themselves and I passed Titan...
Now need to practice Titan with the relic to stand on my 2 feet till the end before testing the coil
but frankly, don't pay for that fight, just do DF until you clear or ask help in your FC
Its just a fight and with geared people it takes what? 20minute?
Ive done That fight so many time I consider myself an expert. I can live to P5 without paying much attention at all cause its so routine. Still dont have a relic. Partied with great people some who have multiple relics Im almost always last man standing. Im either going to pay for a team to get a win or quit the game all together. Have gotten pretty damn close to killing him 3 times out of maybe 213 trys so far. One of them was the first DF group I joined. Got past the heart alive on my first try with only a youtube video as experience. I die sometimes too but I can live past the heart 100% of the time. If i can get 7 others to do the same I wouldn't even consider buying a team. My luck just sucks. My FC cant kill it. Most of the people without relics and many who have them cant seem to kill it. What other choice do I have. @400k a win I think its worth it. I dont want to pay but im running out of patients. some pro's have even befriended me and offered to help but they never online and I play this shit way to much for that to be coincidence. I probably would be gone by now but my sub for this month has already been paid. Gonna spend my time crafting mats and selling them to get the gil when I have it Im just gonna pay for a team. Might just join a different FC. Paying seems to be the most sure fire way to get it done.
One of my biggest regrets ever was leveling brd right after getting whm to 50. should have just kept going on whm till i got a relic for it. I feel that I let all the good players get ahead of me and now im stuck trying to progress with fate grinders.
