Ok you all need to fix the way market boards work. Make it like final fantasy XI. ya I know the trolls be like this isn't ffxi, however with the ability to post 40 items at a time and see everyone else's current prices you get undercut by 100k 200k 300k sometimes. It is so dumb. At least in ffxi you cud only see the last 10 sales and nobody elses current prices which at least stabilized the markets. Can't sell a thing unless u sit in front of your retainer all day undercutting the other 5000 ppl undercutting you. Please address this issue asap.

While im at it. Its to easy to high quality items as well. It is to easy for people to level crafting as they can just turn in items bought off markets and get triple exp from the leve quest or double triple exp from the ones you can turn in 3 times for one leve. I had to grind my exp the ol fashion way in 1.0 now everyone is a master craftsman. And fates give way to much exp anyone can go 1-50 in a day can u say ffxi abyssea ruined the game time come on where is the curve. fix all this crap i like most of the game but this stuff needs to go.

Markets aren't crashing. In fact, at least on my server, prices have noticeably risen since the hotfix, which isn't surprising given how much additional gil it must have put in play.

Markets may be rising on some servers such as non legacy I cant speak for all legacy but in a world where most the population is alrdy capped the prices are dropping fast. Also it wouldn't be such a problem if they would at least get rid of leves letting people level in a day and or adjust the hq rates since with the right crafts everything can be hqed 100% without fail. And in real life nothing drops in price by 100s or thousands of dollars over the course of a day at a time. if it did gas prices wud be 99cents 1 day and 5 dollars the next. same goes for anything you may purchase. being able to post 40 items with 100% hq rate allows way to much supply into the game and with materia not breaking items upon failure like it did in 1.0 no items are breaking and being taken out of the market the demand is so low while the supply is to high. adjusting the market boards with a regulated auction house would stabilize this and or any other adjustments previously stated.

Charge a "fair" price and your items will sell. Charge top dollar and they either won't sell or you'll have your gil confiscated because only gil-buyers will pay those inflated prices. -

I agree with the OP that crafting is a bit too easy and especially leveling up a craft is far too easy. It shouldn't be possible to level a craft by turning in items bought from AH.
That's like DoW/DoM could buy dead monsters and trade them for EXP.
Undercutting will always happen, no matter what.
The only thing you can do about it is to stop selling stuff if you would get less than it costs you to make. -

Actually your wrong. Made me some Vanya Crackows. Cost to make? 370k. Going price? 500k What did they end up selling for? 325k. Why? because 3 idiots undercut the markets by 175k. So no the system doesn't work the RMT especially undercut everyone just to get their gil so their stuff sells first they get the cash and sell it for Real life money. So the free market isn't stopping the RMT. -

Nothing is going to stop the RMT's. It's more about lessening the problem. If the market protects the buyer then there's less reason to have to buy gil. Then the RMT's have fewer buyers. I know people that bought gil on FFXI because the prices on things they NEEDED were so outrageous that they had no other choice. The free market system on FFXIV helps to prevent that.

The market board works exactly like you'd expect a market board to work. You really think it would fly if there was a board full of things for sale and a little sign next to it saying "Sellers, do not look at prices of current sales."?
And the crafting is fine as well. Some of us would rather spend a reasonable amount of time leveling and concentrate on obtaining high level mats then spending weeks trying to make a bronze ingot correctly. I'm entirely satisfied with the existing crafting progression. A few folks having spent a lot of time on what is essentially another game entirely doing something that can be done much more easily now is not a reason to change it.
