1. Make STR contribute to the HP pool of warriors. We don't need damage reduction like Paladins have, but we need more HP to compensate for the amount of damage we take.
2. Make Berserk a stance -10% hp, 10% more damage taken, 10% more damage dealt, abilities grant wrath stacks.
3. Lower the cooldown on Unchained. It takes 5 points to build, we should be able to choose if we want to keep that up or use IB or SC.
4. While under the effects of Unchained, all wrath building abilities provide 2 stacks instead of 1.
5. Take away the damage penalty from Defiance, have it increase hp by 10%. (This only if #1 is to happen, str bonus to hp)
6. Have heavy swing able to chain into Overpower which can then go into Steel Cyclone, or have overpower generate a stack of wrath while under the effects of Unchained.

1 | Make Bloodbath become a trait at level 45 for WARs. 25% of all damage done converted to HP...all the time.
2 | Take the damage reduction in Defiance down from 25% to something more reasonable. 15%? I dunno I'm not 50 on my WAR yet. -

Give us Lancer instead of Gladiator cross class. If we're going to be the damage dealing "tank" then at least give us respectable damage. Keen flurry could give us some mitigation. Invigorate is always welcomed for TP using classes. Feint is uhh good for some situations? Blood for Blood could make or break the class in situations.

To OP,
- Yes, WAR does need more HP. However, tying it to strength would get unbalanced in a hurry. Just buff Defiance.
- Absolutely not. You may not realize it, but Berserk is a big part of your burst mitigation routine already. Worse, you made it debuff your defense, which means no tank in his right mind would ever activate it.
- Not going to make or break WAR from a balance standpoint, but yeah, Unchained sucks and really could afford to be taken off Wrath entirely.
- Disagree. Remember that Wrath is your burst mitigation resource.
- No no no no no! NO! NO! The last thing we need is WAR to be even more of a gimpy DD pretending to be a tank!
- I like the idea of putting Overpower into a combo action for Wrath, actually. Would give some way of ever coming up with Steel Cyclone.
Flat healing is already gimping WAR at endgame. Gimping it more by making it more focused on flat healing is not wise. Buffing WAR's damage output is the worst thing you could possibly do to them. WAR is a tank, not a DPS.Quote:

While Gladiators (and Paladins) tank by boosting their defences, Marauders (and Warriors) tank by using HP-draining abilities:-
Bloodbath allows a Marauder to gain up to 25% HP from physical damage dealt. Mercy Stroke restores 20% percent of your HP - providing the attack is a killing blow. Storm's Path absorbs 50% of damage dealt to HP. Inner Beast absorbs 3x damage to your HP.
As you can see, nearly all of these abilities depend on damage dealt, and as Defiance reduces damage dealt, HP restoration through these techniques is also dented.
Defiance already allows curing spells to be more potent, so a useful boost to make Warriors better tanks is to amplify the drain effect by, say, 25% once you've become infuriated, which is the same amount as the damage reduction. -

I wouldn't mind seeing Heavy Swing build 1 stack of wrath. This way if we were to use something that takes them all away, it would take 12.5 seconds to rebuild the 5 stacks as opposed to 17.5 seconds. It wouldn't be a drastic change that would automatically make wars super OP, but it would be a nice QOL change.

Removing Defiance penalty would increase total HP drain by about 5%, even less after including other sources (e.g. ToB). So no, that's not going to do any good. Furthermore, WAR's main problem is that heals don't scale at all. While they're fine in 4-player content, 8-player content doubles damage and healing rates, which means your self-heals are half as valuable.Quote:
