Skipping mobs was stupid. Glad its gone.
A tank said one of the giants is at a different spot. No clue what that really means. Run was about 5 mins longer than normal. :) No biggie.

The guards really did need to be fixed was embarrassing that you could run right behind them and not aggro them.
But then what is the point of aggro by sight and aggro by sound if it is ignored to appease whiners about speed runs? Also any cut scenes you skip CAN be viewed at "The Unending Journey" in the inn room.
The guards in CM was sight only mobs. Meaning they must c u.. why not just add sound aswell ?? lol..
There is no sneak invisible in 14 like 11 had. But Im still amazed on how many mobs that are sight only.. Walk right behind and they dont react at all.. We are all Ninjas moving like little mice :D
With the amount of Tomes Of Philosophy that i have to grind for to gear my jobs is bad enough and then they go and block speed runs. I don't understand why this community whines so much about speed runs. No other community for any other mmo is this whiny about it.
It's not a flaw in the script. It's how that type of mob was designed to aggro, sight aggro. If it has eyes or what look like eyes it's sight aggro. It sees in a cone in front. Otherwise it's sound aggro. SE said this long ago. They just moved them so you can't run behind.
They are whining because they love hardcore and painful grinding. That's Japanese MMO for you. Japanese gamers loves grinding endless hours... You wonder why most hardcore gamers are always Japanese who always ends up in the leaderboard?
About 5 mins more depending on the group could be longer. And I was lagging really bad at the last boss phase 2 but it seemed like she took longer to kill and I've done over 150 CM runs.
Speed Runs actually began to encourage elitist behavior in groups. People would get cursed at if they aggro even -one- monster, as if its the end of the world to burn the add down in a few seconds.
Yea I have to say, when SE requires us to repeat these raids dozens of times over just to get 1 piece of DL/relic/AF2 at a time we end up finding ways to shorten how long it takes us to finish. It's simple logic, because be honest, do you go in and watch the cutscenes over and over? It's the same concept. Speed runs I think should even be an option in activating the duty, thus allowing us to skip all the tedious CSs automatically.

People still want to do speedrun of CM when they now have the other options.
In other threads the constant plea was simply for another option. now it's there and there's still whining about speedrun of CM. Some people can never be pleased.
Invis pot and silent oil says hi. It was common practice in FFXI to sneak past stuff. There you even could buy/craft items which made this easier.
Fixing "exploits" that encourage being toxic to players that dont know them or dont want to use them is a good thing to do for a healthier community.
Raging at players that dont know about, dont want or failed at skipping mobs in ak/cm.
Raging at players watching cutscenes (still not fixed).
Raging at players that didnt do no weakness rez bug.
Condemning players that were "completing the objective" in DD fate.
Even if such "exploit" itself may not be a bad thing, as soon as using it is being enforced at randomly-met players, it becomes a nightmare.
