I imagine Crystal Tower will have an average iLv requirement of 70, with a Relic (iLv80) simply being a fast way to boost your average iLv and met that requirement.

Frankly, getting relics right now can't possibly get more casual. Kill all the primals and then do 9 runs of CM isn't very difficult (lag notwithstanding) -

Considering they also mentioned they will be nerfing the current Titan fight with the release of the Extreme fights then it shouldn't be all that difficult of a task for most people.

To the OP, can you post any proof saying that crystal tower is for the casual? My understanding was that the difficulty level was going to define how casual or serious the raid would be.

I imagine they will nerf some of it, since the CT is supposed to be for casuals, right now many casuals are having a hard time with Titan. So I would imagine Titan will becoma able to be done by a decent DF group.

People are saying "Casual" because of the revelation that CT difficulty was lessened to make it available to Duty Finder. However, the raid will be as difficult and likely more difficult than Titan.

It was delayed because they wanted to adjust the difficulty so it could be accomplished via duty finder. I am not motivated enough to find the quote, forgive me. The fight is ridiculously easy once people learn his movements, the only thing stopping Derpy Finder groups beating it is the community. It is impossible to beat Titan in the Derpy Finder when you constantly have to reform random groups because a single person decided to leave... I've been ranting on the Derpy Finder a lot today it seems, but yeah... It is trash that needs to be removed from the game (though 24 man content might warrant its existence), and the server board really should be the superior grouping option that SE should focus on expanding...Quote:

I'm still bothered that some are gonna have a good amount of alagan and ilvl 90 mythology pieces that most of the gear in crystal tower will be obsolete before it is even released. Which is sad because they are probably going to have completely new looks for the armor and weapons that will drop. I really hope it looks like crystal armor and they introduce the vanity system soon after. :(

ALL of those thing would make the fight such a joke... The relic weapons are already so easy to get, that you don't even feel good when you get them... Why not just hand them out for hitting 50 now? =(

I hope it is not changed, I get tired of people who did not progress properly through games, cheat this cheat that, not really learn the tools and tricks to this and that. Those things all build the player, make the player better through failing repeatedly. I am tired of games where I get to end game and some guy in full I bought my way, or ran X exploit 500 times for tokens joins my party and thinks he is the shit.
I say leave it eventually more people will learn the rotation and it will be common to win in the troll finder. If the requirements are a relic weapon at least the "chance" of the person not just sucking is less and I "might" use the troll finder to try out CT. -

Seriously... Why they're sticking to the Derpy Finder and tagging MVP to it, when the server board is quite possibly the best thing they can possibly add for everyone, I'll never know... -

To be honest they dont really HAVE to nerf Titan. Fixing the desync issues would go a long way to making the fight easier for some people.

Anyways, its true that getting a relic its easy (for such a good weapon, it doesnt reeally compare to AF gear IMO), once you get a decent FC you can do it in no time, and the biggest problems people have with Titan is due to latency and lag problems.
If Im not mistaken CT will be i80, so we can assume the armor will be i80 too. Coil drops i90 armor and is harder than CT (as Yoshi said). If they put better gear on the easier CT then there would be no point on doing Coil. CT should be a way to gear up for Coil.Quote:

The fact that Relics will be required for CT makes sense with how they wanted progression to work in ARR. However, personally, I don't like the idea of relics being required. There's really not any reason to not get a relic now, and while it's not any easier than it was in 1.0, it's definately more accessible. It's a fair requirement to have to have your relic for ilvl 80 content.
I kinda do hope SE implements something similar to what Relics were in XI though. Something that isn't essential to obtain, incredibly difficult to obtain, and is a large reward for anyone who manages to clear it. They can continue with giving them secondary stats like they are now, just via quests. So that way you can stay on top of your progression by upgrading, rather than getting a new weapon with every new raid. -
