Please adjust post-Raise procedures

Right now, when someone is raised, he likely has no idea where the healer, and when he accepts it, he'd be tractored to the location of the healer where he would be raised.

The problem, apart from being vulnerable (which I personally find ok), is the possibility of a detrimental ground effect/an enemy aoe that is being cast to be exactly where such a person is raised, and right now, there is absolutely no way for the raise-ee to avoid it.

I don't see what they could do
the best is just to to click "accept" as soon as the raise pop-up and wait until you believe it is a good timing

it could be possible to leave a visual marker on the raiser's location when they casted raise. Of course, it should only be visible to the raisee

Visual markers don't mean anything.. I want to be able to move my character... Either make the person completely invincible through the whole animation, or lose the animation. It takes 6 seconds or so to go through the animation, the last 3 of which you can be killed instantly by a boss move that you can do NOTHING to avoid. Luck of timing shouldn't be part of game mechanics.

It's up to the healer to raise you in a sensible location and for you to accept at a good time i.e. don't accept a raise when the boss is about to do a party wide aoe.

the rez animation lock is silly and archaic.

Actually, visual markers alone are enough, or sometimes its not necessary, you just need to know when to accept the raise. Although i do agree that a healer's LB3 is somewhat worthless when people ress on void zones anyway and die immediately after.

In a dungeon with lack of room such as Primals, there is not time to "wait". If and only if the healer has time to raise you, you have to get back into action ASAP. The only reason a healer should be resurrecting a DPS is if there is a lack of Damage in a short time frame (like Titan Heart), 1 healer is dead, or MT is dead.

So it takes 2.5 sec to cast Rez, then 6 sec for rez animation plus the variable time it takes to avoid raising in an AoE. 90% of the time, you will die basically making it a waste to raise.

I agree with the invulnerability during the time that you are raised but can't even move. With that, the instant a player can move, they can be more responsible about dodging AoEs.

Just to point out, Raises have a time limit on when you can accept. Not sure how long it is but I tried this trick, waiting for the right chance and whatever. Basically, you have a certain limit of time on the raise, otherwise it goes bye-bye.

Well... My point wasn't towards any specific type of skill for a healer, it was to point out the fact that it has a time limit and how it could effect waiting for the right time to accept.

So basically, good healer or not, that wasn't the point of what I posted.

1. Don't die...98% of the time, you died because You did something wrong.
2. I raise you when I can where I can. I quite frankly don't have time to baby-sit the dead. And endgame battles are too hectic for me to plan ahead 'your safe raise spot'
3. It is the dead persons responsibilty to track where i am/when it is safe to raise.

I'm not being mean...just really, there is no time for a healer to think 'gee over here is nice and cosy, let me run out of tank healing range and cast raise here' You get what you get.

And I agree, that the current tractor-system gets ppl in trouble (but there's times when it's nice too).

I literally do not care at all about the animation lock or the lack of indication as to where you will res. All I want is to be able to heal somebody while the raise animation is playing.

Do that and they can leave the lock in-place, I don't care.

This game barely punishes dieing as it is, allowing someone to be merrily ressed mid boss with no risk would just be a bit too far.

I wouldn't object to the healer level 3 lb being tuned some, but then frankly the tank one seems even worse.

1. Yes pretty much, a battle rez is typically a 2nd chance after someone has messed up.

2. Imo that's part of the healers job, I managed just fine raiding in Rift as main class healer and doing this sort of thing. Yeah hard mode fights are pretty hectic, so I agree you can't guarantee the spot will be safe when they rez, but you can at least try not make it a stupid position in some fights.

3. Unfortunately that's not something you can control, just have to do the best you can on your part and hope they do the same. If the healer does cast the raise in a weird position, then the person being raised can't do much about that. Also for example raising someone just before you need to hide behind a pillar on garuda. You'd hope they don't accept till after the attack goes off, but likewise it's not really a good idea to cast it then in the first place. Unless of course that's the only time you can fit it in and you trust the person not to accept straight away, swings and roundabouts.

The attitude of "I'll raise you when I want/can" with not even the slightest consideration to where the person will spawn or stage in the fight and then taking the stance of "It's their fault for dying in the first place anyway" is neither helpful nor constructive. Not saying this is your attitude, I wouldn't know, just speaking in general.

Just make it so I can heal the damn person I raised. There is no reason why they can die from an AOE during the time where I can't heal them. Make it consistent and fair. Allow us to heal people while the animation is going off or make them immune to damage until they can actually be healed.

Some healers are better at this than others I noticed. I lost track of how many times the healer ran into the boss melee range for some reason, right in the area where the cleave is, just to rezz me there..

FYI, If only one person died i can pretty much insta raise this person with swiftcast ( which is a must have for healers and if they don't they're not good, period ).
Of course if more than one person died then the others raises will be full cast time, unless the 2nd healer has swiftcast too. But i usually don't go through full cast time anymore because sometime you just don't have enough time in primals.

I just wait for swiftcast to cool down ( 1min ).

The raise animation lock is terrible. In a fight like Titan with all of titans aoe damage there is aqmost no chance of being raised without taking damage before you can move.

I hope they do fix this or at least add a buff of 3 sec of invincible or a stoneskin buff

If you mean Titan HM, in phase 5, the opportunity to raise is just before he rocks someone, after the plumes. There is still a 1/8 chance (provided the party keeps distance to the rezzed player) that Landslide will throw the rezzed player out, but that's the best opportunity you get, even Garuda gives less mercy.

Speaking of which... I just noticed something
AoE of all sorts... whether good or bad seems to affect players locked in animation... even Medica

That is, as long as the healer have the time or MP to spare, the raise-locked teammate can be healed by an AoE heal.

However of course it still doesn't guarantee that he/she will live if the fight involves random aggro attack or party-wide AOE, since AoE heals are far less potent than single heals.
But nevertheless unless SE decides to change the locking issue, this is the only way to ensure even the slightest chance of survival for the fallen.

There is also the stupidly high MP cost of raise to consider. If you have a bard to use their MP song and help you out, it's not such a big deal, but the more you raise people the harder it gets on your MP. Also, often I find people shouting at me for a raise when I'm down to 300mp and just trying to keep the tank up. =/

IMO if they are going to make the spell cost that much, people should go immune to damage during the spell animation, or be able to be healed during it.

If you rez into an AOE, you deserve to die. LOL!

I don't understand why they removed the Immunity buff you got during Raise-ing and a couple seconds after you was up that they had in 1.0

Half the time it seems they ditched all the "improvements" they made to 1.0 and did a giant leap backwards on them...

Except that it is not possible to 'time it properly' and be 'aware' of where I am being raised into, because the healer could be at (x,y) when s/he raised and then immediately ran off, or better still, the raised could have been cast under Swiftcast on-the-go and not even the healer him-/herself knew where it was cast.

I find the whole tractor effect unnecessary, and people are using it to by pass mobs in AK etc... I don't see why I cant be raised on the spot where I died - it induces people to be aware of their surroundings i.e. encourages them to pull the boss away from the dead bodies so they could be raised.
