I just got an email saying I requested a return.. but I didn't

I got an email from the same address as when you order your physical game and it says "Your order (same order ID as when I pre-ordered it) has been requested to be returned.." I've never asked this.

Does this mean I will NOT be getting my boxed CE? How will I enter my game cd-key and get the 30 day free trial?

I'd suggest contacting the retailer you've purchased your CE from promptly in case you've received a scam message.

if you didn't buy from SE you should probably ask the people you bought it from.

edit: I've been sitting waiting for a live chat agent for a while now, and I'm still #21 in the queue. I don't think I will get this resolved before they leave to go home.

When did you buy it, because SE has halted all purchases, I didn't think that pertained to orders already on the way but looks like it may have. Either way contact SE because it could be a scam or something wrong.

You'll get error message 1017 before you are below the teens in that queue!:p

A more smart way would be to ship the product out, but put a hold on the product code registration. Once the servers have been upgraded and are stable, the user can then simply enter the code right away instead of waiting to have the item received.

That would be worse in my opinion. People would hten have a useless paper weight, yet another thing to complain about.

That would not be smart, no. People who've already ordered the game for 2 months should not be penalized that way.

You missed the sarcasm. I knew you were in queue to talk with a rep. I was making a jest at the expense of those that get in the actual log-on queue to then encounter the 1017 error.
