What can SE do to make FFXIV "Noticed"?

I been browsing the Internet sure I found quite a few people who are excited for A Realm Reborn, but there's still a lot of people, who are having a hard time swallowing this pill and accepting its a different game.

All of us here, know the game has improved greatly and even more so when 2.0 comes out. However, a lot of people out there are still not amused by the Screenshots/Trailer and the Information provided via Interviews.

Some people are one-tracked minded out on the internet, " oh FFXIV again? I thought it was dead, not sure if I want to since it failed once already". Not that I blame them for thinking that way, It's just people don't give games in general a second chance to shine.

So I am here today, to ask you to rise up and give any information you would like to suggest to SE so when they make the push at Gamescom/PAX/25th Anniversary/TGS.. that they can take some of that information to heart when try to make this game a success.

Even if the game is the best ever.. it won't do any good without players to play on it.. and that's hard when alot of people think FFXIV is a failure.

They need to advertise, spend alot of money to force people to see the changes on Tv, Website, banners in game stores, and so on.

Most people think the game is still like it was at launch with more content added.

Sorta like Aion and myself. I have no clue what has changed in that game since I quit it 4 months after Na launch. People who quit XIV are in the same boat. The game sucked they no longer care about it, they stoped following it and are waiting for the next big mmo.

Word of mouth works, but in this games case the word of mouth is "this game is horrible, just play X mmo instead". That is SE's problem. The negative outweighs the positive by 20 to 1.

Making a kick ass 2.0 site and showing things in gaming conventions are nice and all, but it will not be enough. Look at the reviews for the new trailer the majority of the media is still slamming the game like they did 2 weeks after launch.

Needs MOAR HAWT Cat-Girls in slutty attire, advertise that and they'll be selling boat loads of copies.

No, this game needs more kickass Content, Bigger badass-lookin mobs,
like... Camate's Final form kind of thing.

They should bring on the really massive Dragons, Wyrms, etc that the game could possible handle.
Completely gobsmack us with everything they got.

Dig out the old forgotten visual effects, like sunlight beams streaming through the trees etc.
More original monsters & foes, ancient ruins, forests, real deserts where you can almost feel the heatwaves when playing, brutal snowstorms or maybe even add slippery icy ground that will make
the game abit more difficult, some proper minigame puzzles to solve etc.

Even if it means standing on certain stones on the ground to unlock a hidden path.
(kinda like in FFX and a few other past FF games)

make it free, like every other game

Why did you have to do this? The last thing we need is a bunch of armchair advertising experts. Do we really need to feed the egos of countless gamers who think they can run a game from their gaming chair? SE knows what they're doing better than anyone else here. SE has tons of experts in their fields (ie of advertising) that know the ins and outs of markets, costs, and efficiency. What its true, besides its the only sure way to get those kids in there adolescence stage off the female night elf/Korean Grinder<Experience isnt the only thing those game grind :)> and into a real MMO.

Advertise gameplay a lot, show content. People don't care about CGI, it doesn't tell them anything about the game other than an artists "vision" of the feel they're trying to portray in the title.

I do it because I care. This Game is Dead to a lot of people, and all I want is people to give their Ideas on how to counter this mess. SE know what they are doing, so they won't use something that they know won't work.. but the people that give logical responses they can take into consideration if they wanted to.

And if SE knew what they were doing.. then FFXIV Original Launch wouldn't have been a disaster then.

So what your are saying... you want more male players to play the game rather than more females?
