Hi there! Every time I attempt to enter The Lochs area, the game crashes to windows. I can enter any other area just fine, but the Lochs crashes. When I attempt to log back into the character that's attempting to travel to the Lochs, the game crashes. When I move my character to a different area (by travelling to a different server and loading into Limsa Limosa), it runs just fine again.

I have tried:
Changing the Display settings between Bordered and Windowed
Lowering the graphics
Updating all of my drivers
Updating Windows
Uninstalling FFXIV, deleting local files, reinstalling
I spent hours with customer service and they ran out of ideas, told me to come here.

Hello,
There could be a plethora of things but when comparing the post you listed as having the same issue with this one (not sure if the user was able to fix the issue), you both use the anti-virus Malwarebytes. I have my doubts if this will fix it, but maybe try adding FFXIV as an exception in said software. -

7. Locate ffxiv executable in its installation folder. Right click, properties, compatability, disable fullscreen optimizations. (Some individuals have had this work.)
Optional for powershell:
Basically DISM: Repair-WindowsImage
With parameters -ScanHealth -CheckHealth -RestoreHealth
If these suggestions don't work we can visit more possible fixes. Also you might need to elevate the command prompt window for the listed command prompt commands, to do so search cmd or command prompt right click (or left click depending how your mouse settings are) and run as administrator. -

Regardless, you don't need to reformat and reinstall windows to reestablish booting procedure. Look into the bcdboot command and locate where Windows is installed. If you cannot access windows look into the advanced recovery mode command prompt...Quote:
