Just went to login today and my character isn't at the home screen, the game is defaulting to me starting a "new game". When I logged out last night, I was on a data center that was not my home data center, (unsure if that has anything to do with it).
It's strange because "Soleil" still exists on lodestone; even in game things I have placed on the market board are still for sale (I had a friend check) - so that tells me she still exists, she's just lost I guess.
Has this happened to anyone else before? I've tried selecting different data centers, and uninstalling & reinstalling the game as well but no luck.

As for a character selection screen, it doesn't prompt one. The home screen just says "Start, Data Center, Configurations, Exit". When I hit start, it makes me select a data center and starts up the opening cutscene for starting ARR -

Look to the left from "New Character" button.
There is a "World" button, thats what you want. -

Just so you know characters don't just vanish. To delete one you get multiple confirmation buttons and for one you actually have to wait 30 seconds before you can press it. You can login with your account in Lodestone

Did it work? Is your character listed in the lodestone?
If none of your characters are visible, maybe there was a problem with your sub payment? -

Don't worry, OP himself confirmed that he was just on another world after switching DC. FFXIV client does that all the time.
He just had a bit of trouble figuring out how to change worlds.Quote:
