Why buy a house if your not going to use it, and then try to 'rent it' to people for a fee?

I have large and i use it.

Some people missed out because people like this exist and its absolutely pathetic behaviour.

I have a large and have bought many decorations and the like and I do rent the space out to FC's to hold events and stuff. It is nice way to make money. What is the problem?

The fact they went to a new server to buy two houses just to not use and rent to people, exploiting a limited market.

People have waited years to get houses, just to have greedy people like this, who have no intention of actually using the house, step in and take it from under them.

Its disgusting that this is even allowed to exist, if a house is not used it should go back on the market, or even better, don't buy one at all!

People have always rented houses, specially FC larges, for events. Nothing new.

Seems like real life, doesn't it? People buy up real estate all the time to rent to others, exploiting a limited market.

Considering SE has announced plans for 2023 that will include the addition of 247,320 new plots to the game, that player may have a hard time renting their houses out soon unless they're doing it for special events.

I had no idea renting out houses was a thing here. How much gil does it usually cost?

Who are you to say how someone should or shouldn't use their house? Renting it out is a form of use.

Or SE can stop twiddling their thumbs and build a better housing system that serves all players equally. Then there would be no need for talk about bans for participating in content in ways that SE allows.
