DRK Pain

Just wanna vent. DRK has been my main since Stormblood and While I wasn't the Hugest fan of the Shadowbringers Changes, It's just not fun anymore. Living Dead makes it so out of my control I can do everything right and still die for no reason. TBN if it doesn't break feels like a waste, Oblation feels like barely half an ability (like its effect should just be on TBN honestly). Abyssal Drain is basically useless in Raid Content and heals less than Souleater.
The class just feels like I use delirium, Throw every Ability/OGCD at the boss, then i'm stuck pressing my basic combo for 2 minutes rinse and repeat till the boss dies or I get killed cause Living Dead wasn't Healed all the way

I use to love this class but now i don't even wanna bring it with friends cause I'll be more of a burden to our healers then anything

You're basically preaching to the choir here. If you check the tank section of the forums you'll find a 206 page megathread with complaints about both the ShB and EW DrK design... and that is certainly not the only thread about DrK.

When I heal DRKs that use TBN, I can 100% assure you, it doesn't feel like a waste to me. Living Dead has long needed a rework and SGE is the only healer that absolutely can't save a DRK from LD if they already blew everything before WD wears off as it's not a burst healer.

But yeah, if I don't have a WHM or AST, I know that I will only have extended my life warranty by 10s.

LD is still pretty easy to heal on SCH. Just got to use your kit.

I play all four tanks heavily, mained WAR in Savage for Shadowbringers, and I'm loving DRK in EW. It has a DPS feeling even with big tank cooldowns, and I've had problems tanking literally nothing.

It can't self sustain like a WAR but that's an unimportant feature most of the time.

Living Dead is terrible I dunno why it's still designed the way it is.

Living Dead is terrible, TBN comes too late and is only fully useful if it breaks, Dark Mind is so situational that it's a dead button most of the time, Living Shadow is basically just a DOT with fancier graphics, Oblation is weak and comes way too late....

Aesthetically it's my favorite tank job because I love giant fantasy swords, but play-wise, DRK needs some work.

Drk can be good tbh but there's a lot of thing that are less fun about it. Living dead stayed the same when holmgang and superbolide got buffed, tbn punishing you if you use it at a wrong timing (well it pops fast now so at least there's that), salted earth got changed and i don't find it good (you can't place it anymore, it's more like a nerf imo), dark mind is situational and easly becomes useless, blood weapon still doesn't have stacks and that's more a personnal thing but delirium being almost the inner release isn't great imo we have already war so at least making delirium more different would be a good thing imo.

Sure, but it still eats like 3x the amount of resources than any other invuln which makes it just flat out bad.
