Feedback: Can we please have level 80 trust dungeons give relevant player XP to 81?

OK, yes, I know: The traditional take is that anything at a prior level cap gives less XP than anything among the "leveling" content of that same expansion. Yadayada "not intended to be leveling content," I've seen the community takes.

But, really... as a solo venture that has a "non-guaranteed" entry gear level required to access it, there's no reason in this 6.0+ world where XP is carefully controlled by having trash reward zero XP, for this solo venture that is the trust system not to be an exception.

You have this glorious self contained ecosystem as of level 71 where someone can just play this content on their own time in their own way, and there is no good reason for the trusts themselves to get over two times the XP of the player. Buff that player XP, even if it's just for trust runs, I beg you!

I just ran Matoya's relict on an 80 job both to bump Y'shtola less than a million XP to 90 (all 80 dungeons reward trusts 2mil and change) and to test the hope that maybe there could be some fun, XP-viable variety in the 80-81 trust game, and sadly, no, it's not a viable use of time for *my* XP bar. I say this as someone more than willing to live in trust dungeons for all my time in the game once unlocked, and accept the pace from 71-80 and 81-90. It's the best fun I've had in an MMO in over a decade, and there's no reason to break it up and slow it down so much from 80-81 (and presumably from 90-91, and so in in future expansions).

This is new territory, Endwalker is the first expansion with a "prior level cap" supported by trusts, and while 5 runs of mount gulg to go from 80-81 is only half the speed of much of the rest of the levels running trusts at the most current dungeon between 71 and 90, there's no reason for level 80 to go that slow.

Please, Squeenix, if you happen to see this thread, please let 80-81 in level 80 trust dungeons actually be something viable! There's room for these dungeons to be something more than just another option in the roulette with other expansions' "nope" dungeons!

I disagree unless the non-trust versions get the same boost.

There should be no experience boost in the trust version that's not in the regular version. You don't have to worry about your trust members running away with the stack marker or being a glare mage or spinning the boss. You don't have to worry about them being impatient if you keep messing up a mechanic and dying (especially deaths that cause a wipe).

If anything the non-trust version should be the one to get a boost if only one of the two gets a boost.

And this is someone who prefers using trusts where possible. I'm leveling an alt on a world separate from my main and therefore my friends' characters. I'm currently taking her through Endwalker and the only time I'll use the Duty Finder is when I'm doing the two trials that I can't use my trust for.

I get what you're saying, and of course I'd be totally ok with buffing BOTH! But for some reason it seems to be "accepted doctrine" that somehow time spent in dungeons at a past level cap is to be worth less when you still have an XP bar next expansion... so I didn't want to open with that and fight with everyone, but...

Just do the 79 dungeon. It gives accurate exp and is at level (since you get synced to 80)

I use roulettes to pass that bridge between 80 and 81, if you do the roulettes they should give you about 1 - 3 levels.

Personally I think Sastasha should give the same amount of exp as any level 80 Dungeon if you're running it as a level 80 job. All dungeons should give the same percentage of the exp bar adjusted to your level. This is because all dungeons are already homogenized to be the same length and difficulty. At least this way all content can be relevant content instead of only the newest content being viable.

just go bozja for half an hour, every fate there gives ~300k exp (Emergency missions even 600k) and they pop nonstop

its even the fastest way to get classes up to 90 i think

Level X0 dungeons have always been about the storyline for the expansions, as well as some slight gear progression.

The odd level dungeons are always about leveling and will always give great EXP from them. If you're doing the level X0 dungeons with trusts for leveling, you'd be way better off doing the 79 dungeon to get much better EXP.

Your Missing the Point.
What the OP is saying it is not working as intended...
The Level 79-80 Dungeons are not giving accurate Exp consistently. Meaning that on one job it would correctly give the player 1/3rd a level per run of the 79 Dungeon, then another Job would only get 1/5th-1/8th a Level. Similar issue was affecting the EW Dungeon's it was corrected by boosting the exp of those Dungeons (which they were kind of over boosted cause they are now just as effective as Bozja). So I suspect a similar boosting would need to be applied to the Level 79 dungeon to get it back to being somewhat consistent (or fix what is causing the scaling bug in exp of the Dungeon's).

If it's not working as intended, then the proper post would be in the forum's bug report board. However, a great deal of the variability can be external factors, Like Free Company Buffs, Rested EX, Food, Armory Buff, "Path to" buffs and so on. This is as someone who almost religiously uses the trust system for Exp of multiple jobs and have done both 71-79 and 81-89 dungeons.

However this was a topic of discussion in our group not long ago and we determined we agreed with the current format is intended. The capped dungeons are for Tomestone grind as well as whatever is available in those dungeons, like Minions, etc. However the Leveling dungeons are clearly marked for assistance in leveling as they also provide guaranteed gear pieces at the end of each run that are to assist the facilitation of leving through the dungeons. You can appeal for a change if you like, but I don't expect this to change nor am I upset at this fact. At 80, you're running them for story, poetics, and individual story drops. The story alone should get you through leveling your primary job to 81, and Poetics alone will get you over the hump gearing needs.

If you're having problem with poetics, I don't know what to tell you - maybe play any portion of the game past level 50 content as they flood poetics at people.

Commentary as to the effectiveness of each dungeon for each job would have to get very, very specific to verify that there's an issue here.
