Class Balance will it ever exist at least to a fair degree?
Does SE plan to balance every job to be viable in every fight? What is the point in adding classes like Monk when they will never be viable in many different fights? For instance i just tried to play Monk in Ifrit. I know the fight by heart and played every role in the fight. I just tried Monk and i couldn't out range sear. Second Wind is not enough to keep me up through sear without having to tax the healers more. I see this becoming a problem in the future. The community i think will agree we don't want useless classes. If you're going to put resources into making a class with all the quests, art, story and abilities why not actually make it useful to in game? This game is going to suffer if we have more of FFXI style class balance... MNK being unless except for chi blast (monks auto attack range is to short FFXIV). DRG, PUP was terrible in ffxi ect... WE DON"T WANT GIMP CLASS/JOBS period. Yoshi do you plan on making every job viable? Its not fair if someone sees a cool video of Monk if final fantasy then they pick up the game and start leveling and once they get to endgame no1 wants them in a end-game party/dungeons/instances.
I have everything leveled so it doesn't effect me as much as other people but it still makes me upset that you guys balance fights for certain classes. Would it break the game to balance attack range? doubt it. I want to know what SE is going to do about class balance in the future. I don't see any reason to make another class or job unless its going to actually be able to be played at endgame. Its balance doesn't have to be perfect but close enough to where people don't feel like they wasted their time leveling a class. Let me know what you guys think.
