Hey Square Enix,
Healers are just not fun anymore. Shouldn't a game feel fun for the players and not exhausting? Nobody is happy with spamming one damage skill for ever in most of the content. Sure there are fights where you need to heal more but that's a very low percentage of content. I heard many opinions from healer mains and many of them are considering to change to tank or dps. Why? Because healer gameplay is just boring. Do square enix know that the queues will be extremely long for tanks and dps, when many healers are changing mains. And I don't think someone would start healing job when there is no new job and the current healers gameplay is to spam one button. Please think about how you are treating healers in this game and what exactly the reason is to simplify them to a level where it is no more fun to play. We are not dumb. We want to learn a job and have fun be getting better in it. Healers are doomed.

06-14-2019, 03:29 PMAlathonQueue times from class imbalances will not be a meaningful concern for SE once the transition to Trust use is made. The business case for this is strong, there are a lot of players who already try to treat FFXIV as a single player game, having a content tool which both panders to their interests and makes the quality or desirability of any given role irrelevant to queue times, is a big win. This way, they can shit the bed and it won't impact anyone other than the specific players getting shit on, and they can always roll the dice and speculate that even if they ruin a class the current players like, there are more dumbos who will like the new content than current players who enjoyed the old.Quote:

I'm trying to get as much fun out of scholar as I can before ShB. After that, my thinking is I'll use WHM for solo content and the inevitable insta-pop queues, and once I've cleared the expansion I'll putter around with the new classes and probably cancel a while later to go back to EVE. -

Sch got Miasma II back after a month in SB because we actually played the job and then gave feedback.

Nothing to get a response about, this is pretty much the build we are getting for 5.0 as it's too late to change anything drastically now. Save your ideas for adjustments after the expac releases and more players actually get to try the jobs, then later patches may get done changes if need be. I'll continue to queue as a healer, thanks OP for claiming "no one is happy" when it is not entirely correctly...

"Wait until you play" was used last expansion with WHM. Where did WHM end up? Exactly where people thought it would as soon as the media tour was over. Same tired arugments. Yes. We know SE's history. And they repeat their history and mistakes often especially when it comes to healers. There is plenty of evidence coming out from E3 and the media tour and you're like "Nope, can't see it. Gotta touch it first." The real world equivalent would be like making a reservation at a new restaurant and before you even go and experience it for yourself you log onto yelp and bash the place because you heard some people say a few negative things about it and have no clue if they've even been there themselves. You don't know anything yet, you don't see the full picture yet. You feel like you have a grasp on it, and these meltdowns and childish demands for replies and expectations of the devs to drop everything they are doing to answer these complaints, and before this gets out of hand when I say you I don't mean you personally I mean the healer outrage crowd in general. just so that's clear. Machinists did the same thing in stormblood, they beat their chests, blew up these forums, everyone said it was pointless but they continued to do so, the difference being machinists actually had gameplay proof and tons of experience with the job to be able to bring real feedback to the dev team.Quote:
