beast master for dps

this ideal really appeal to me special with blizzard bring end to there raids

dps role beastmaster seem work well

whip weapon of choice, before anyone get anger with this beastmaster only use it in combats. beast and master share dps with each each stats improve the pet own hit points. this give leather worker a weapon to crafting.
loyal system for pet. Haulbreak isle the home of the beastmaster quest hub seem each job has a base
1-10
pet has they own exp system 1-70 or 80 depend on pets loyalties the pet get increase exp gains. pet has core skill of they own.
command system
attack
special moves
return to me.
stay
defend me.

I love the thought of bst for this game as it was a favorite of mine in XI, but then I get scared because they are not handing pet jobs too well in this game.

My guess is we would likely just get stuck with the standard tank-melee-ranged pets types and then just get glamour for them instead of anything remotely interesting. :(

If Yoshida's last interview tells us anything, he does not think we can handle anything more complicated than that.

i get tire of glamour stuff it fun but i rather seem something more complicated we handle it

I would rather they work on the current two classes with pets. The unresponsive AI is a bit troublesome sometimes.

This could be solved for a beastmaster class if all the player actions were pet commands. Make it a kind of ranged-physical DPS where the pet is melee, but the player is at a distance. The pet auto attacks and can be issued commands to perform combos just like it was a physical job. Might be easier than than trying to introduce another pet job that operates similarly to summoner.

Also, considering the advances they're making with NPC AI to avoid AOEs and stack for shared damage, it's conceivable that the player could command the pet to get out of an AI without having to target move it and to stack for shared damage.

this sounds really interesting - would be on par with my smn main if not even pass him if their pets would work more fluently than our current egis – but they have to be able to chain gcds/ogcds without an auto-atk interruption tho...:3

sound very interesting

beastmaster action trigger pets actions. for example a whip attack could trigger a pet action. this way it feel like pet and master are work together in hybrid fashion and fight like one in two minds. i felt if beastmaster could more job that make seem they deeper link between the beast and master this be awesome. why haul break isle because this where beastmaster train they pets.

in really life animal have gain trust of they human companion. when one get dogs they have built a relationship with the dog. this why loyaty system in warcraft was a good ideal it basic on really life. i did like level a pet but at point it became hard this why the loyal system would make high the loyal with one pets the large exp boost it get.

my ideal of pets is size define what the pet roles is

small animal such as squirrels and such range pets. the throw of acorns.
medium which include tiger the couerl and drake melee
large pets such tricetops and t-rex the tank pets

sorry i just frustate by people want beastmaster to be tank

i just feel there room for complex jobs, this one reason i frustate with ffxiv

I think yoshi p need realize that some folk like complex jobs.
