Would many accept this change? Fester, Painflare, and Energy drain are already tied to Aetherflow, how about making Bane it's own ability. The way that DWT locks your aetherflow stacks causes you to be unable to spread your DoTs in a Aoe situation. So what-if instead of needing stacks for bane how about casting bane instead or making it an ogcd with it's own 30 sec cooldown?
A thought about Bane. What-if it wasn't Aetherflow locked?

Summoner AOE dps is fine, so I don't see why SE would change how any of smn's aoe skills work.

How about when your running into another mob with 3 Stacks of Aethertrail, so now you can't bane and at this point your only Aoe would only be Deathflare. Bane has already been nerfed into the ground. If anything it will make the DoTs more consistent in fights kinda like how Rdm and Blm can keep up a consist aoe against mobs at all times. Outside of annoyance of Bane, Death & Demi-Bahamut programming seems to be the jobs only other problems besides that the job is fine.Quote:

Want it or not but summoner is all about planning and knowing the fight now. But even in your situation it pretty much means bahamut will be ready after deathflare and will annihilate mobs anyway. So it is on you to plan usage of your stacks and skills during the dungeon(or any fight).Quote:
