SE says XIV damaged the Final Fantasy brand name.

XIII has great sales tho'... you might even consider that a successful title. XIV on the other hand....

i think wada only said that for the shock value of a headline. "OO thats a controversial headline i must read this story" you once you start to read what he says, you will notice he is pointing out how the game has improved and will be done for relaunch. marketing and advertising.

Sure, it did. But it doesn't change the fact that it was mediocre compared to past FF titles, and a huge amount of people are not impressed with FF and SE in general with the current generation of gaming.

alot of ppl considered ff8 a flop after ff7, but along came ff9 and all was forgiven. one bad game don't destroy a brand
