Okay, I'm one of those people who has to read every note in a dungeon, when near the end of the library I found a diary which appears to mentioning Lady Amandine and her fate and the succubus she becomes. Unless I misread the text this shouldn't be here. the Great Gubal Library was abandon 15 years ago. Lady Amandine only turned to the dark arts 5 years ago after being disfigured in the calamity. If i didn't misread the book this means the book was mentioning events 10 years prior to them happening.

That struck me too. However!
The library seems to be occupied by quite a few voidsent. The book was written from the perspective of... well, maybe or maybe not a literal voidsent, but definitely not someone with good intentions at heart.

On reading it, I'm not really too clear on who the "succubus" is... is it some voidsent/otherly world being the author has fallen in love with, and Amandine is but a vessel to bring them into this one? Or was it a partner of Amandine, and they're referring to one of the maids they experimented on..? -
