Does defense skills work in wolves'den area ?

According morale tiptool, morale replaces physical and magical defense but what about skills using it (like focalization, fey covenant, protect, sacred prism, etc.) ?

Some ppl says that doesn't work ! I think that skills give resistance even if it is influenced by morale stats.

Do you have an official reply on this issue?

afaik no testing done yet, same with weapon damage vs morale, atm i'm not using protect anymore and didn't notice a difference((not like you would notice with enemys being different anyway)and other crosskills are way better <.<)
Currently using i90pvp weapon over allagan since in my mind it give me more defense?

I've met a number of ignorant healers and others who refuse to use such abilities in PVP. They seem to be forgetting something very important, regardless of whether or not the defense applies.

Pop quiz: What do Wither, Glory Slash, One Ilm Punch, and numerous other abilities have in common?

There are abilities out there that dispel your buffs. Having a useless buff up to filter the dispel and keep your other important buffs up is pretty good. If you're a healer and you're too stubborn to take two seconds to prepare your team before battle, you probably shouldn't be doing PVP.

Always keep those buffs up to help your party out and filter out the crippling dispel attacks.

As a SCH there is nothing to cut for Protect other skills are just so much better, even if protect would work.
SCH: Cleric Stance, Blizzard2, Swiftcast, Surecast, Stoneskin

I don't understand what you're saying.

The purpose of having protect up is to prevent you from having your other buffs removed. If you have only stoneskin up and I decide to run up to you and do wither + a nuke rotation, you will die. There have been times I've used wither and just knocked off protect, leaving better buffs up on the target, and making that wither practically useless. The fact that protect, even if it's useless, acts like a wall to absorb dispel attacks for everyone on the team, and it takes a second to cast at the start, it's no dice. There is no reason not to use it and the healers who choose not to are just stubbornly gimping their team.

Which skill would you cut to put in a one time "dispell" barrier?
If you want to kill a SCH right of the start you have to deal ~6,5k dmg, and that's not going to happen.

I don't see what your argument is lol. You are literally arguing against doing something that will help you and your party (remember, protect goes on your ENTIRE party, not just you, and they have other buffs that they don't want dispelled).

So, taking one second to cast something at the start of battle that you have one whole minute to do. There are no negative consequences to casting it, whereas there are negative consequences to not casting it. You are not going to lose buffs by casting it. You are taking one second to help yourself and your party.

It is mindblowing why a healer won't take one second to help their party at the start of a match when they have a whole minute to do nothing else but twiddle their thumbs, and these healers tend to get eaten by the competition. To not cast a spell that will help your party that is incredibly easy to do shows utter incompetence.

A summoner's opening combo in PVP can exceed 8,000 damage to someone with equal or less morale and has been done quite frequently in 50s I assure you.

My argument is that Stoneskin is way more usefull than Protect in any way.

So does Stoneskin.

Skills like Glory Slash etc. are 90% of the time used for the dmg in an oGCD and dispell nothing. So again i should be using an skill that does nothing for the small CHANCE that it prevents the dispell of something mostly useless anyway.

There is no way for any healer to die to opening burst.
It is so obvious when they come at you sprinting while throwing every possible buff.
