Hello!
I tried to look up ideas that'd be similiar to mine from the forums, but I couldn't find any. So
in addition to normal behests, I thought about what could add a little bit more spice to the monotonous way of behests, so here's the idea I came up with:
Every behest could have a mini boss in the end to add in a little bit more anticipation towards to completing it. Behest would stay the same as it is now, but having a little boss in the end would be optional for players so they can choose to defeat it or not. Let's put an example:
You defeat all the normal monsters and get the gil from them, but there's an additional baddie, a miniboss that drops off some neat stuff corresponding to the rank of the behest in question. The mini boss would need a full party to be defeated. It wouldn't be anything too hard, just that you couldn't kill it with just a few people. It's not like you will fail behest if you don't have enough people in it to defeat the boss as you will always get the gil reward from the normal monsters. Also, you could add in some collectibles like a mark that you obtain each time you manage to defeat the boss. Collect enough of these = get something. This would add a great deal of more repeating value on behests than just obtaining a bit of gil every time you complete them.
So in short...
Behest Monsters - Get gil from defeating them first.
After this you get the option to defeat:
Miniboss - Drops nice stuff for each of the classes. Also drops collectibles (Mark of Conquest) or something along the lines that you can exchange for stuff/gear in the cities.
Get achievement for defeating the minibosses of behests.(?)
So what do you think? :)
