I seem to remember from a while back that if someone initiates a vote kick in a dungeon that you would see both the name of the person being nominated as well as the person doing the nomination. I could be remembering this wrong, but I think it said something along the lines of, "So-and-so has initiated a vote kick for..." and it would list the reason and the player up for kick. In fact I'm sure of this, because I reported someone for misuse of vote kick to obtain loot and was able to specify who initiated the kick because I was able to see it.
However, I ran CT yesterday through a join in progress duty finder and joined in the middle of drama. (Don't ask, I wasn't able to figure out what it was about, just witnessed the aftermath.) Between every boss battle, someone was initiating vote kicks against multiple members of my party over and over, despite the party declining them. There was no indication of who was starting the vote kicks in the vote kick interface. It just started with something like, "A vote kick has been initiated for..." and then listed the player being kicked and the reason.
I have a few questions about this:
1. Is this specific to CT only? If so, can it be put in please? I'd like to know who to report for harassment, since it was definitely harassing because of how many times it was spammed.
2. If it's not specific to CT and vote kick anonymity is in all dungeons now, can this change be reversed or at least explained?
3. How does vote kick work in 24-man content anyway? I know that the vote itself is limited to the party of the player up for vote, but who can initiate it? Does it have to be someone from my party, or can the alliance leader also initiate a vote kick on any alliance member?

the exact telling should not be implicated just because of privacy concerns. your problem is valid but things such as kicks should be left on the invisable side.

1. AFAIK, it's anonymous everywhere and always (lol, all three weeks or whatever of its existence) has been.
2. Explained: There's no reason any player needs to know. If you're reporting for misuse, the investigating GM will be able to see who did what just from the logs. All they need is your name, an approximate time, and the instance where it occurred.
3. It's entirely contained within the individual parties. You can't do anything to members of other parties, and they can't do anything to you.
Privacy concerns are absolutely not limited to that. Giving players the name of the vote initiator would allow them to create characters on their server to harass them, post their name online "blacklists" (and catch innocents in the process, given that names can exist across servers), etc.Quote:

Anonymity does not allow that accountability. P.S. this isn't really germane to my issue anyway, since it has always been anonymous to whomever is the one being kicked. They don't even know they're being voted on unless it is accepted. My issue is not being the one reported, but being one of the ones who gets the pop-up asking them to vote. -

That's just stupid if you want to kick someone for whatever reason you should put your name next to that.
By hiding the name it encourage "Snake" behaviour, It should also tell you who initiates a vote abandon too.
Clearly people who want it hidden are either just initiating a vote kick with very little reasons, Afraid that having their name next to it will hinder a decision to remove people or are just saying no for the sake of it. -

I think it should stay anonymous (just in case SE reads this and are reading into opinions), the reasoning, you go into CT, and you vote kick somebody, legitimately for trolling CT (not stepping on pad, pulling boss when they aren't a tank), but they came in a party of 3, they now know which of the other 4 you are, and vote kick you, the person just doing their duty and not trolling CT. That is just ridiculous, I'm not going to let trolls take over the system and be able to even more so troll you by kicking you out. The reason is provided and that should be enough, "reason: Harassment", well as the other party member you say "did this player harass somebody?".
I know there is the opposite, the trolling with vote kick anonymously and not being able to kick the troll, but honestly, its easier to figure out who is the vote kick troll in a party of legit people, "hey who's the vote kick troll", bunch of people are going to say "not me, lets find and kick that guy", also this scenario is a lot less rare than not being able to kick the troll because there in a troll party and then getting kick yourself...I've at least encountered the first part 30 times now in CT, luckily with anonymity they can't vote kick me.
