I actually thought the voice acting quality was a step up from previous expansions, but do concede that the mixing felt a little off in places. Maybe they changed the recording techniques or equipment or something. I also thought it was understood that some of SE's English direction just doesn't seem to fit sometimes. I personally think it's the body language on display that clashes, since east and west cultures are very different when it comes to that stuff, so some lines will inevitably miss their mark. Perhaps if they "localized" the cutscene rigging things might fit better, but that is a dumb idea just thinking about it.
I could definitely see a mixed reception to Zone 4's vocal choices. Definitely some Barry Manilow-sounding lallafel vibes there that play almost for laughs. It's grown on me but was jarring at first.
Overall I think Wuk Lamat did great; it was a pretty big gamble for SE to rest the bulk of the expansion on her shoulders but by the end of the MSQ I think she fit in just fine. Dragging the English VA for doing her job is hella cringe though and I hope the community pushes back hard against that behavior. A quick skim of the comments seems to show some agreement, so I'm thankful for that.
