Dear Healers who don't DPS

All this sandwich talk has made me hungry.

Also just tossing out there that this is perhaps the furthest off topic thst we've gotten but the fact that that is debatable is really quite humorous.

Not to mention you're all sandwich elitists. Grilled cheese with tomato and avocado for the win!

Not to interrupt your discussion with him, but this statement gets a bit to far imo, if you mean with max level healers at level 70, since maximize uptime or Always be casting is optimisation territory and most of the community can't do it for different reasons. For instance, how many healers are casting while walking for an mechanic? Even if we ignore this and technique like slide casting, then many healers still can't do abc properly. Of course, i don't know how you play, but i advice every healer to do an video and then look at your gameplay. It suprised me when i was an newer healer back in the day aswell.

Could be. We won't know until we get an answer from them, but to be fair, i don't think they ever imagined this discussion going on forever or that some will use quest design to prove their points :D

99% of the game isn't at ilevel 330 (or 320). Endgame is not "the game".

Even in endgame content you shouldn't be in a random pug expecting everyone to be prepared to clear content above their ilevel. If you're not in a random pug, why aren't you handpicking healers who match your play style?

It's amazing that people will bitch and whine that players "ought" to be exactly as experienced, geared, and skillful as they are, while refusing to take responsibility for finding people who are exactly as experienced, geared, and skillful as they are.

If you don't like grouping with the dirty plebs then don't take the bonus pay from DF. It's pretty simple.

My comment was regarding Savage Omega and the mathematical requirement for healers to help DPS on the likes of O3S and O4S early on. This applied to both statics and pugs, naturally progression statics would be moving clear of this requirement earlier than your typical PF pug due to the higher average standard of play, but then you'll find that those healers will still be DPSing anyway. That's just the mentality that's required at that level.

It's not meant to be a snipe at casuals or randoms, I can promise you now that I didn't get an iLvl 340 goodie bag (Or any amazon vouchers ;) ) in my mogmail when I put my SB code in. We were all under geared at that point.

Don't get me wrong, my static runs for an hour or two a week these days and that's that. I absolutely love raiding with randoms as it's the best way to scratch my progression itch until Super Savage hits, plus it gives a little more room for me to try different stuff. Sadly my best O4S DPS was helping a pug with 4 bonus members, I took what I learnt from that and smashed my previous best with my static despite it being an awful run on all accounts.
