But I have different schedules, I want to join a server that will have population throughout the day.

Have you ever played on the XIV EU server? It's dead at night.

Also I like to play with people throughout the world, and would enjoy playing with like minded people.

They can't call the servers region locked because they are not region locked, they're just letting people know where the servers are located. It's like them typing JP next to all the servers right now.

Naming server Global will not change the fact that it is still located in Japan or wherever it is. Sure, they can name them Global, International or whatever you want for people to think "oh here everyone plays together, I'm gonna play here" and fine, no problem there but all the others servers are not any less global than these "Global" servers just because they're saying where the server is located.

The population will define them.

And the mass majority of people won't go on anything outside of their region. So yeah, it's not region locked, but I guarantee it will be segregated.

Note that the entire chat is also in japanese, I don't understand japanese. Now if segregating the players by giving us servers located in our regions is what have to be done to fix that, I'm sorry that it sucks for you but I bought this MMO to play with people during most of my gaming hours, not wait until they get on when I have to leave.

And if your primetime is japanese or NA time you can still pick any of those servers to play on.

I'm not seeing what this anecdote has to do with making global servers as an option to those of us who enjoy playing with people from Japan or other countries.

I think this is more due to the smaller playerbase than anything else. Stakes in progression are also higher, which causes people to become pickier.

Lastly, advancing a relic is not exactly attached to progression aside from the speedrun parts (though calling that progression is me being overly generous). It's not like when we were clearing Ulduar and getting fragments of Val'anyr as a nice little extra for beating bosses in the instance.

So your basically incredibly racist. FF is even a Japanese game ffs. I dont speak/read a single word of japanese but I manage to get into JP groups on a daily basis for 17/25min AV/CC's and garuda's simply by using google translate when im bored, a simple copy and paste takes like 5sec. I also thing the majority of your problem is the fact that the game has a very very low population.

The part that I find funny if im understanding you correctly, if your normal play time is in JP time, going to a regional server will not help you unless its a JP regional server, going to a NA or EU server when you have a JP play time, you will not fit into the prime time and you will have less people to play with.

That wasn't my point, people seem to think that the servers are not global because they're telling us where the servers are located. If the servers were region locked then I would share your concern. Naming a server Global wont make the others any less so, it will just not tell you where this "Global" server is located. They might as well name it "You can join any of the other server but if you like to play with anyone all over the world pick this server"-server.

It's like calling a server for Role Playing server.

I don't think you understand.

People who want to play with people GLOBALLY will join the GLOBAL server.

It's a simple as that. People who want to play with people from around the globe will join the GLOBAL server.

People who want to play with NA people will play on an NA server.

People who want to play with EU people will play on an EU server.

I don't care where it's located, neither will people who want to play globally.
