The content is waiting for arbitrary timegating to eat up sub time tho
Content is simply there, updated on a regular basis. How long it lasts is up to each individual player.
I know that...I read the post.
I responded Specifically to the post that talks about Rewards and Incentives.
On your point with Dungeons.....I actually agree and can support that.
I liked the Dead Ends, thought it was a Cool Dungeon, and it Hurt when you messed up.
Uh its called pvp, its been there. Go and do it.
HW had rewarding crafting and I really liked deep dungeons and the raid was a lot harder which was a double edged sword but I enjoyed it
Eureka and Bozja don't count for me because they were single handedly the worst and most unfun bit of content I have ever experienced in an MMO, that's the difference.
But I can only speak for myself. Maybe it's because I was newer to the game that heavensward and 2.0 felt like I had more to do, I logged on every day and had something to work on back then and it was fun. Haven't felt that way since. Though stormblood had peak class design at least, so I liked it for that, shadowbringers had nothing to do if you didn't like bozja, but it at least had a nice story.
And endwalker just has nothing redeemable.
just get into mahjong or something
As much as I like narrative I don't think story content is justification for a sub fee. Also I don't understand why another beast tribe daily quest series is being presented as new and exciting content. As much as I've liked the story so far it's still just another beast tribe which we did not need more of. And why are they still being called beast tribes? It doesn't even make sense anymore, it's just used for literally any daily quest faction even when it's not even applicable. Dwarf beast tribe? Pixie Beast Tribe? Apparently Loporits are gonna be another one. Why can't you just refer to them as "X daily quests"? Like "Pixie Daily Quests" or "Arakasadora daily quests". Or just refer to them by zone I dunno just drop this beast tribe title which hasn't made any sense since HW.
Also the reward is yet another animal that logically shouldn't fly and looks ridiculous doing so, a freaking hippo, when we've had flying for 7 years now and yet they still give us flightless land animals that they just let us fly with even though it makes no sense and looks absurd. Can we not get more mounts with wings, or rockets, or some magical aura that suggests levitation, not just giving us more flightless mammals and letting it fly? I'm not gonna farm something that looks ridiculous in flight, or just ridiculous outright (which is 99% of the mounts in this game, I absolutely despise the mount selection in this game, as the devs seem to not realize mounts should be cool not goofy or else nobody is gonna want to strive to grind for them).
I remember the brief period in late Shadowbringers when I entertained the idea that the reward for collecting all EX mounts would be a decently sized Shadow Dragon of some kind. And then they presented a mechanical monstrosity. Perhaps if they had gone for…literally any other design, I would at least have the other Shadowbringers EX fights to farm. I refuse to farm any current EW extremes for the mounts in case we end up with another giant mech, as if the flying lynxes weren’t ridiculous enough.
And all the EXs were just midget dragons that looked goofy and were severely undersized for anyone but lalas. One point I'll give WoW over FF is that their mount variety has always been pretty good, (graphical quality not withstanding), if only because they went for rule of cool. Where as FF seems to have gone for rule of cool only for armor design, but it's as if they have a completley different design philosophy for mounts where they seem to think making them look as dumb and cutesy, and out of place as possible is the correct option. Even most of the store mounts suck for the same reason.
Doing a hunt train however is what truly shines a light on just how goddamn awful and incongruent the mount design in this game is. I dont know who they're meant to appeal to but I want them to fire their mount designer right away. When I dont even want to buy the store mounts because they look so stupid as well you've really screwed up.
In due time hopefully. Can’t wait to have my minions roam in the island. :)
Also I’m still waiting for the Garlean gear since Yoshida confirmed he’s adding them.

They tried to create lasting content, Eureka, Diadem, Bozja. But people complained, relic steps took simply to long. Negative feedback demotivated the team further, thus they stopped creating this type of content. (and tbh, the content was not well-thought, it was miserable)
Instead of learning form their mistakes, they simply canceled content. Old content is just sitting there and collects dust. Instead of refreshing it with new ideas and features, they gave up. I could imagine that some devs left to work on the FF16 project, community standards have been increasing over 10 years of service. Hence, I'd say all in all, expect less content with every expansion. Less dungeons, less jobs, less ultimates.
Still true-ish, considering you have to slog through those first floors every time you want to go with a premade to the later floors.
Though on a personal note, I don't see how anybody can like Deep Dungeon areas, they are insanely boring. You just kill enough enemies to hit the next floor while opening up any silver chests you find. Repeat ad nauseam. I've actually fallen asleep in there from how boring it is (and keep in mind the only other area in this game I've fallen asleep in was Snowcloak, and that was because of the music).
Gathering, Crafting. Making minions, barding, mounts and furniture. :3
There really isn't much lasting content in this game. Most of it is fluff.
Im am surprised with the 5 story content they released, that they didn't do more with Tataru. They could of set her's up as a DOL/H content to keep people busy setting them up to get their Main hand "relic" tool produced but everything was just lore building. Omega, lore building, Tataru, Lore building, Hildibrand insanity, Custom Deliveries which is a time restricted weekly content and Tribe which is daily content.
The last 2 do at least have some interaction to them, and Omega/Hildibrand stories were amusing, but when it comes to Tataru's setup, I feel that missed the mark in what could of been some content "build up" instead of just a setup to a story.
What this game needs desperately is content that uses up excess materials, I thought they would of done something in 6.1, but the excess materials entering the market is just something that is going to continue until they add something substantial in 6.2.
They actually changed that just now or with the next patch as much as i know....
The problem always is they listen to the loudest complainers and give up, instead of trying to change.... i mean, they changed the diadem 3-4x?
I actually, partially miss the old one, a flying hunting zone was a neat idea and i hope we get something like that back, one day..
The dwarves aren't beasts. They're lalas on the first. (I know. I know  ;) ) I think that's where people started to take issue with the term.
Kind of seems this thread has turned into alot of "I don't see how people can enjoy/like x piece of content because it's not thought out/not cool looking/boring". The answer is simple. Different folks like different things.
If Eureka and Bozja were THAT bad there wouldn't be leagues of folks doing it when they dropped. Same for the mounts that come out.
Uh me? I despised Eureka because it was an extremely inaccessible grind. Bozja I could go in, do some fun midcore fights and then get out whenever I wanted. It had great glamour rewards to work towards as well. The only problem is the total failure of futureproofing the content.
I also enjoyed Bozja. The only part I didn't like was people melting some of the FATEs.
The only Hrothgar content available for someone who is head over heels in love with the race?
Are you serious?
Don't project your own opinions onto others, please... Some people did enjoy exploring it, both the content's gameplay itself as well as the lore snippets and the story.
Yep. I enjoyed Bozja quite a bit. That people couldn't just AFK their way through the fights made it much more engaging. I also enjoy Matsuno's style of storytelling. The raids were good fun too - though I do agree that more futureproofing should have been done in regards to them.
A common complaint of mine regarding this game is that only some content gets new rewards added to it over time. There's at least something new available to spend MGP on and we get new Triple Triad cards every single patch. It would be nice if the development team went back every now and then and dangled new rewards behind older content to encourage new and old players alike to check it out.
All of you are liars lmao. No one in game has ever expressed enjoyment of bozja....ever. Its just a fate train with the occasional boss fights that arn't really boss fights. Everyone I know who runs it, does so while watching netflix to get past how boring it is.
For Bozja, I'm not sure I'd call it the most entertaining thing ever, but it was just tolerable enough that I was able to grind out several relics, and occasionally go back to it when I need to level something in that range. Considering the game's history with side content like this, that's pretty good!
"Am I wrong in saying no one liked Bozja when it's clear that I'm the one with the problem and just cannot empathize with people who did? NO, IT IS THE PEOPLE ONLINE WHO ARE WRONG!!"
Dude. Don't call people liars. Just admit it's not for you and give it a rest. Otherwise, I loved Bozja. It may have its issues, but just because I admit them doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it.
I enjoy BSF for some reasons:
• I have access to lost cache. This is a major part of my enjoyment in the content. You can do MANY things with them. It’s fun to experiment around and/or perform stupidly powerful feats i.e. wrecking Lyon in 2 GCDs as a WHM in undermanned CLL.
• Like Eureka, has a slight reminiscent of old school mmo elements.
• The holy trinity of roles are blurred. This is a different aspect that I cannot find in normal content. You get WHMs who outdamages everything to oblivion outside Flare Stars, SAM, and WAR. You get non green icon that heals stupidly effective. You get a drunken MNK (or any job, really) who sub in tank when needed.
• Money making, this keeps me coming back for more.
• I’m a relic hoarder.
• It’s easy but not braindead ala CT raids.
• Guiding lost souls & teaching them the wya around the contents.
Fate train? I don’t do that, nor do I really enjoy them :) I came in BSF for first time in their inception after all my jobs were capped. And then when EW dropped I outright refuse to join in the fate train bandwagon despite being a faster way to level up, it won’t teach me how to play those jobs adequately.
CEs are recycled older bosses with small twists to their mechanic. I loved it for being a ‘quick game’ & how it often instills chaos to majority of players.
If I don’t enjoy Bozja I will not finish all relic steps under 3 weeks of their new steps inceptions, with the exception beIng Timeworn Artifacts—of which I still ran 255 DRn before their adjustment came to be. I enjoyed the ride overall.
